Industrial Production Declines by 0.1% in Armenia in January 2008

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION DECLINES BY 0.1% IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY 2008 ON
SAME MONTH OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, NOYAN TAPAN. Industrial production of 51 bln 726.2
mln drams (about 168.6 mln USD) in current prices was made in Armenia
in January 2008. Production of 49 bln 206.5 mln drams was sold,
including sales of 3 bln 799.3 mln drams in CIS countries and sales of
8 bln 958 mln drams in other countries.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, the industrial
production index made 99.9% as compared with January 2007, while the
same index without production and distribution of electricity, gas and
water made 95.7%.
