53 detained, 16 arrested in Yerevan

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ 53 people were detained and 16
arrested over suspicion in participation in March 1
riots in Yerevan. 350 witnesses (300 of them immediate
participators in disorders) were interrogated,
Armenia’s prosecutor general Aghvan Hovsepyan told a
news conference today.

`Some witnesses testified how cudgels and explosive
assemblies were distributed. People were also given
alcohol,’ he said, adding, `All materials will be
published.’
