Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the frontline region became the top event of
January in Azerbaijan.
The due announcement was made by Mubariz Akhmedoglu, head of the Center
of Political Innovations and technologies, at a press conference held
today, Day.Az reports.
He said the visit was the first in President’s schedule for 2008.
"President’s visit to the frontline area during the visit of OSCE
Minsk Group co-chairs to the region, can be called significant. It is
proven by Ilham Aliyev’s announcements made during the meetings to
the frontline area, who noted that the first phase of war has ended
with occupation of 20% of Azerbaijani lands", Akhmedoglu considers.
According to the political scientist, President’s announcements about
the origin of Armenian capital, Yerevan, is also important for bringing
the truth to the world community.
