The number of US congressmen of the work group of the US Congress on
Azerbaijan reached 31.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the Foreign
Ministry of Azerbaijan that Randy Koohl, representative of the
Democratic Party and New-York Congressman, became the 31st participant
of the work group.

It should be noted that R.Koohl is one of the congressmen who withdrew
his signature from the resolution on the recognition of the so-called
"genocide of Armenians".

The press service for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry announced that
the congressman appealed for participation in the work group after
the co-chairmen of the work group on Azerbaijan, congressmen Solomon
Grtis and Bill Schuster sent a letter to their colleagues.

In their appeal they stressed Azerbaijan’s strategic importance,
participation in combat with international terrorism, cooperation
with the United States, role in supply of Caspian energy sources to
the world markets and development of inter-parliamentary relations
between the United States and Azerbaijan.

It should be reminded that the work group on Azerbaijan was officially
registered in the US congress in 2004.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
