Lord Russell-Johnston’s visit schedule to Azerbaijan made public

British member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
(PACE), chairman of Nagorno Karabakh subcommittee Lord
Russell-Johnston will visit Azerbaijan on February 7-9. APA’s Europe
bureau reports that the aim of the visit is to discuss preparations
to the interparliamentary conference on the settlement of Nagorno
Karabakh conflict.
Lord Russell-Johnston is planned to have meetings with President
Ilham Aliyev, speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov and
parliamentarians representing different parties.
Lord Russell-Johnston had told APA that he offered to hold a
conference with participation of Azerbaijani and Armenian
parliamentarians in Strasbourg. The conference is planned to be held
on April 18. /APA/
