Yerevan /Mediamax/. Preliminary results of Armenia’s broadcast media
monitoring evidence that Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian is most often
mentioned in positive context, and Ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosian –
in negative.
Mediamax reports that the Yerevan Press Club (YPC) and "TIM" Research
Center presented in Yerevan today the intermediate results of the
monitoring, which covers 7 TV-channels and 1 radio-company in the
evening prime-time.
According to the President of YPC Boris Navasardian, the attention
of the media considerably increased towards two potential candidates
for the position of the President: Prime Minister, Leader of the
Republican Party of Armenia Serzh Sarkisian and the Ex-President
Levon Ter-Petrosian.
The report notes that if Serzh Sarkisian, as a rule, is mentioned in
positive or neutral context (162 positive, 14 negative and 768 neutral
mentions), Levon Ter-Petrosian is mentioned mostly in negative context
(10 positive, 293 negative and 196 neutral mentions).
