AMERICAN NEWSPAPER BLAMES U.S. GOVERNMENT FOR UNJUSTIFIED WEAKNESS

YEREVAN (YERKIR) – "Heaven forbid that the United States should
do something morally correct, like acknowledge the Genocide of the
Armenians by the Turks. Twenty-four countries have done so," South
Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper reports.

"Would you give "deepest sympathy" to the Jews or the people of Darfur
for their tragedies? The Turkish government is not our friend or
ally. It blackmails us for money, or, in this case, policy, for the
right to use bases in their country. Why can’t the U.S. government
stand strong for once?" the article says.
