Russia’s President Vladimir Putin gave a Pushkin medal to Marietta
Matghashian, the Headmaster of Yerevan School N8 after Pushkin.
Putin conferred medals to six foreign citizens for "unique contribution
to cultural democracy during a ceremony in the Kremlin on the occasion
of the Day of National Unity. Awards were handed to representatives
of Armenia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Japan.
