RUSSIAN GAS SUPPLIES TO ARMENIA UP 23% IN NINE MONTHS

Armenian imports of Russian natural gas grew 22.9% in the first
nine months of the year to 1.392 billion cubic meters, a source at
Armrosgazprom told Interfax.
Natural gas sales totaled 1.237 billion cubic meters in the period,
up 21.8% from the same period last year. That included 303.8 million
cubic meters sold in the energy sector (unchanged year-on-year),
355.29 million cubic meters for the public (compared with 255.14
million cubic meters in the same period last year), and 293.61 million
cubic meters for industry (234.3 million cubic meters).
Armenian-Russian company Armrosgazprom is the monopoly gas supplier
in Armenia. Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) owns 57.59%, the Armenian government
owns 34.7%, and Itera (RTS: ITER) owns 7.71%.
Armenia has been paying $110 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russian gas
since the start of 2006.
