CATHOLICOS ARAM I RECEIVES THE NEWLY ELECTED
CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF H.M.E.M.

Catholicos Aram I received the newly elected and the previous Central
Committees of H.M.E.M on October 30. The committee, which is based in
Lebanon, presented to His Holiness the results of its most recent General
Assembly and a general review of its activities in various Armenian
communities around the world.

The Pontiff praised the activities if this organization, which plays an
important role in the education of the new generations. The Catholicos also
grabbed the opportunity to commend the role of all Armenian youth
associations in Lebanon for their contribution to the formation of the new
generation. The Catholicos considered that every effort to assemble the new
generation around Armenian national values is essential both for keeping the
communities healthy and active and for keeping up to the needs of Armenian
education.
