NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AFFIRMED NOMINATION BY ROBERT KOCHARYAN

On September 13 the Armenian National Assembly affirmed the nomination
of Aghvan Hovsepyan for the post of prosecutor general. The procedure
of appointment was in accordance with the amended Constitution: the
president nominated, the parliament affirmed. 118 members of parliament
voted for Aghvan Hovsepyan’s nomination, 3 were against, 4 abstained.
