75 000 TREES AND 41 000 BUSHES WERE SAID TO BE PLANTED

Avet Martirosyan, head of the department of environment, said in a news
conference on July 23 75 thousand trees and 41 thousand bushes were
planted in Yerevan. The trees were planted in places where there is
irrigation, the press service of the City Hall reported. Besides, 340
km of water pipeline was laid out in Yerevan over the past three years.
In 2008 the City Hall will launch the project of pollution of land
with heavy metals. On November 1 the repair of the nursery of Yerevan
will finish.
