ARMENIAN MINISTER, US DIPLOMAT DISCUSS MILITARY COOPERATION

Yerevan, 18 July: The Armenian defence minister, Mikayel Harutyunyan,
and the newly-appointed US charge d’affaires to Armenia, Rudolf Perina,
discussed military cooperation between Armenia and the USA today.

At the meeting, Perina noted the importance of the appointment of
a new US ambassador to Armenia because this proceeds from the two
countries’ interests, the Defence Ministry press service told Arminfo.

Issues related to the Nagornyy Karabakh peace process, ensuring peace
and stability in the region, and military reforms were also discussed
at the meeting.
