WOLFGANG TRIER GIVEN TITLE OF HONOURARY DOCTOR OF RA NAS

YEREVAN, MAY 23, NOYAN TAPAN. A decision was made at the May 23 sitting
of the RA NAS Chairmanship to give the RA NA Honourary Doctor’s title
to famous mathematician, Professor of the University of Trier (Germany)
Wolfgang Luh.
Noyan Tapan was informed about it by the RA NAS Information Service.
W. Luh actively initiated and participated in strengthening of the
cooperation among mathematicians of Armenia and Germany, among it he
did a great work in the sphere of organizing numerous conferences,
seminars, exchange of scientists and implementation of other programs.
