AVERAGE MONTHLY SALARY IN ARMENIA INCREASES BY 18.3% AND MAKES AMD 70,214 IN JANUARY-APRIL 2007

YEREVAN, May 21. /ARKA/. In January-April 2007, the average monthly
nominal salary in Armenia increased by 18.3% and made AMD 70,214 as
compared to January-April 2006, the Armenian National Statistical
Service reported.

The salary in budgetary organizations made AMD 51,512 which is more
by 15.5% than in January-April 2006 and less by 0.3% as compared to
the previous month. In non-budgetary organizations the average monthly
salary made AMD 87,780 (higher by 20.1% as compared to January-April
2006 and by 0.5% as compared to the previous month).

In total 0.2% rise in the average monthly nominal salary is recorded
in April 2007 as compared to March.

The total money revenues of Armenia’s population in January-April 2007
made AMD 528,985.6mln, thus increasing by 24.7% as compared to the same
period in 2006, and the money expenditures made AMD 527,293.1mln,
thus increasing by 22.4% as compared to January-April 2006. The
volume of money incomes in April increased by 7.2% as compared to the
previous month, and the volume of money expenditures – by 1.7%. ($1 –
