AKHALKALAK, MAY 15, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. In the opinion
of Beka Mindiashvili, the Responsible for Minority’s Issues of the
Georgian Ombudsman’s staff, 6 Armenian churches (5 in Tbilisi, 1 in
Akhaltskha), considered today disputable in Georgia, must officially
be given to management of the Armenian Georgian diocese of the Armenian
Apostolic Church.
According to A-Info, B. Mindiashvili expressed this opinion during
the meeting-discussion on the theme "Values of Georgian Society in
Ethnic and Religious Context," held within the framework of the May
12 festival in Samtskhe-Javakhk entitled "Variety is our Richness."
