ICO head urges Armenia to free Azeri territories
Baku, June 8, AssA-Irada
The top official of an influential Islamic organization has urged
Armenia to vacate the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
`Armenia is an aggressor and the occupied territories must be
liberated unconditionally,’ Secretary General of the Organization of
Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, told the press during
his official visit to Russia.
Ihsanoglu said the ICO backs the ongoing talks on settling the Upper
(Nagorno) Garabagh conflict with the OSCE Minsk Group’s mediation,
which means the group adheres to a negotiated settlement.*
