settlement of frozen conflicts in Transnistria, Nagorno Karabakh and
South Ossetia “depends on ensuring democracy in entire OSCE space.”
The FM of Austria, which presides the EU, states it after a meeting
of the OSCE Troika led by organization Chairman-in-Office Karel de
Gucht. “Strengthening democracy is a basic precondition for lasting
peace,” Ursula Plassnik said, reports Mediamax.
