Armenian foreign minister, IAEA head discuss nuclear plant security

Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan today received the
director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA],
Muhammad al-Baradi’i, who is paying a two-day visit to Armenia.
The sides discussed problems Armenia is facing in the energy sphere
and prospects for developing this sector of the economy.
After stressing the importance of cooperation between Armenia and the
IAEA, the sides discussed security issues, ways of boosting the
effectiveness of the Armenian nuclear power plant and the use of
alternative sources of energy.
