INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S GAMES: Gantuangco pulls one victory

Cebuana Sherry Lynn Gantuangco pulled out a victory in her first
three assignments in the table tennis event of the 39th International
Children’s Games in Coventry, England.
Gantuangco earned four points after posting a 1-2 win-loss card in
group A.
She opened her bid with a painful loss to Armenia’s Anna Adamyan,
6-11, 11-9, 6-11, 9-11.
But Gantuangco bounced back and defeated Coventry’s bet Amani Bone in
straight sets, 11-2, 11-1, 11-4.
She then fell to Slovenia’s Polana Zupanc, 11-2, 11-4, 11-6.
Gantuangco still has four games in the second day of competition.
