ARMENIA WON AT VIOLINISTS CONTEST IN BELGIUM
BRUSSELS, MAY 30. ARMINFO. An Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan
won at the International contest of young violinists after Queen
Elizabeth in Brussels finished on Saturday evening.
Iosif Ivanov from Belgium was the second, Sofia Zhaffe (Germany)-
the third. 135 young musicians from 37 countries participated at
the contest: 18 from Japan, 13 from Southern Korea, in eleven from
Germany and the USA, 10 from Russia, 9 from France, 8 from China, 6
from Netherlands and 5 from Poland. Belgium represented 6 violinists,
