Armenian leader, EU envoy discuss Karabakh

YEREVAN
Armenian President Robert Kocharyan received the special representative
of the EU for the South Caucasus, Heikki Talvitie, in Yerevan today.
The presidential press service has quoted Kocharyan as saying that Talvitie’s
frequent visits to the region testify to the EU’s growing interest in the
South Caucasus, including Armenia.
Talvitie informed the Armenian president of his visit to Nagornyy Karabakh.
Kocharyan and Talvitie agreed that an atmosphere of trust should be created
between the parties to the Karabakh conflict.
