Armenia will host the “European Archaeology Days” event from June 12 to 14, the country’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports said.

According to the ministry, the three-day programme will take place at various archaeological sites, reserve-museums, museums and other cultural venues across the country.

A number of organisations engaged in archaeology in Armenia have joined the initiative, including the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, the Scientific Research Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage, the History Museum of Armenia, the local lore museums of Lori-Pambak, Dilijan and Yeghegnadzor, as well as the Yerevan History Museum. The events are intended for all age groups and for those interested in archaeology.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Armenia has taken part in the “European Archaeology Days” initiative.

The programme offers the public an opportunity to explore the field of archaeology through visits to excavation sites and archaeological research centres. Meetings with archaeologists and restorers of archaeological finds will also be organised, alongside a range of educational activities, including excavations, exhibitions, workshops and hiking tours.

Since 2010, France’s Ministry of Culture has entrusted the coordination and promotion of the “European Archaeology Days” initiative to the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap).

Verelq: What dangers are you willing to take for your petty political gain?

With the active mediation of Pakistan, the establishment of peace between our friend, neighbor Iran and our good partner USA seems to be possible. This is extremely important for Armenia.

When I mention the name of Pakistan, among other countries, in the context of guaranteed peace, the authorities start insulting me.

French President Macron, after a long pause, called Lukashenko yesterday to discuss the improvement of relations and other important issues. When I say that it is possible and necessary to work with Belarus, and Armenia can receive serious benefits in many issues, the authorities call me “oligarch, Belarusian spy”.

When I say that we should have normal, respectful working relations with the Russian political forces and all influential circles in order to solve the issues of our country and avoid senseless, harmful enmity, I am labeled as pro-Russian.

Today, the whole world, starting with the USA, wants to regulate relations with Russia in order to ensure their security and the well-being of their own peoples. We are facing an economic war with Russia, the consequences of which will be indescribably heavy for us. And our people will suffer the biggest losses – simple, living, creative people with righteous sweat.

Finally, what do you want from this country, this people? After causing so much war and loss, what more damage do you want to cause? What do you want to bring to our country with your ideas about the world? What dangers are you willing to expose our people to for your petty political gain?

Calls for support from Turkey to the de facto authorities of RA continue

Calls for support to the de facto authorities of Armenia continue from Turkey.

Another Turkish diplomat who sent words of support to Pashinyan is Halil Akinci, who is the founding secretary of the Organization of Turkic States.

Puzzled by the Turkish authorities’ policy of not opening the border of Armenia, Ambassador Ajinj stated in an interview with “Cumhuriyet” newspaper.

“Besides Pashinyan, is there any other politician among those who have been nominated as a candidate for the prime minister in the elections of Armenia, who has undertaken to change the constitution of Armenia and has not avoided opposing the Diaspora and the Church in this matter?”

In that context, when the preliminary signing of the Azerbaijan-Armenia agreement took place and it was clearly decided that the Zangezur corridor should be opened and operational as soon as possible, isn’t the opening of the border checkpoint just a matter of time? If so, what harm is there if the border checkpoint is opened before the Armenian elections and thus support for Pashinyan is shown?”

I have explained why Turkey will not open the border here https.

And in this case, it is worth reminding my following rhetorical question.

Will these statements made in the pre-election period receive the same severe and intense critical response from the Armenian authorities and their supporters as various statements with similar content, but already originating from the interests of another country (eg, Russia) receive? Especially since in this case we are dealing not only with journalists, but with former statesmen, who still have a certain influence in the political circles of Turkey.

Why is the atmosphere of Armenia becoming radicalized?

Our strategic task is to achieve de-escalation within the country and at the borders. A week or two ago, at the beginning of the campaign, I said that the greatest danger is if we think that the fate of Armenia will be decided in some other capital. The fate of Armenia is not decided in Moscow, Washington, Brussels, or Paris. The fate of Armenia is decided in Yerevan. And June 7 is exclusively internal Armenian elections. If we think otherwise, it will be decided in Baku.

Unfortunately, there is still no proper perception of this imperative idea in our pre-election stage.

We are recording a significant escalation within our country. Our four sides are a problem, we are going on the path of escalation internally. The idea of internal solidarity, which was the leading principle of the Propose Armenia PAP program, faced a barrage of aggression and threats from ONE person. What does Armenia gain? What do we gain? No one wins.

We also got an escalation on the external border, in this case, in relations with Russia. Was the price of playing Zelensky worth it, that many branches of our economy face the real danger of bankruptcy?

Zelensky was in Baku before coming to Yerevan. But he did not make provocative anti-Russian statements there. He did not say a word. He considered that provocations cannot be made in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan is not that country, but it is possible in Armenia. Why did he do that? Let’s think about this.

By the way, there is information circulating in the Azerbaijani press that it is possible that R. Vardanyan should be extradited to Ukraine, allegedly for financing anti-Ukrainian activities in Donbass.

I don’t know if it’s true or a bait. In both cases, it is very dangerous. We should not let anyone try to make our country a new Ukraine. There are many people who want it, our seriousness is our weapon.

There is no rational answer as to why the government is radicalizing the atmosphere. It’s not a time to hold power, it’s not a time for various transformations. Why does the program, even if it is a sharp debate, change the atmosphere to radicalization? That issue should be discussed within the government itself. No one will benefit from it. Internal escalation will very quickly lead to external escalation, in one way or another, in one way or another.

Armenia has chosen the path of self-destruction. the confrontation with Russia will be catastrophic

If more specific and objective.

From the point of view of real politics, post-Soviet countries have generally interested the West in terms of two main components: their use in the fight against the Russian Federation, and the presence of strategic raw materials in those countries.

And it doesn’t matter at all what the external packaging of that cooperation, and the state of actually being used, is: the spread of democracy or, say, the fight against terrorism… it does not change the content of things.

It is naïve to think that the leaders and elites of the “states prone to lying under the West” do not know or understand all this.

Direct personal bribes, whatever privileges, means of blackmail, possessing discreditable information about personal life are the effective tools and “help” these elites to put the future of their own countries on the table of destruction…

Former Georgia, currently Ukraine, Moldova are classic examples of this.

What is left of those states – just outer packaging, no content? They became states taken by rent. states that are openly ruled from outside against Russia…

Today, thanks to Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia has chosen the path of self-destruction. if Ukraine was, let’s say, a little more interesting to the EU and the USA, it had an unprecedented amount of resources and an army compared to Armenia, then in our case the confrontation with the Russians will be catastrophic both in terms of statelessness, as well as in terms of the existence of domestic Armenians, deprivations… people will live fantastically BAD.

Economically, military-technically, and security-wise comprehensively dependent on the Russian Federation, Armenia offers its services to work against the Russian Federation to the West and especially to its Turkish sector.
This is a geopolitical suicide that we once experienced at the beginning of the 20th century. this time we won’t leave a wet mark. This is the question…

The common citizen, who is the most vulnerable in all this, will feel the tragedy of such steps in the hardest way. What the Russian Federation is warning about every day at different levels, they will hit the ordinary Armenian first.

However, it seems that there are still tools to solve and save the situation, and that is the large participation in the June 7 elections and the right choice.

And the right choice is to choose any of the 3 opposition units.

The ordinary citizen will suffer the most, but the key to salvation is in his hands: to vote and stand up for the country.

We must spread this awareness and understand that there will be no other chance.

Verelq: A subsidiary of “Armenian Time”. PAP will sue Public He

In the recent period, Nikol Pashinyan’s lexicon, vocabulary is exclusively based on threats, personal insults, retaliation against political opponents. It is clear that their stonewalling does not contain any element of political debate. This was announced at the press conference by the spokesperson of the PAP president, deputy candidate Iveta Tonoyan, summarizing another week of the pre-election campaign.:

“We are witnessing vulgar rhetoric, indecent speech, threats. It’s sad, from the first day of the campaign, we called on everyone to take part in a constructive field, but it is obvious that they continue this non-political way of working. All the forces use these days to present their theses and plans to the citizens, while the CP and Pashinyan moved the campaign to the field of threats. Especially targeting the members of Gagik Tsarukyan’s family and They understand that the land is running away from under them, but this way of working will not save you either, the citizens of Armenia will put an end to this bespredel on June 7,” he said. Tonoyan.

According to him, they were ready for all this, they knew that under the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan, the political repressions would intensify even more, and it was obvious that Nikol Pashinyan and the CP would abandon the civilized way of working. All this time, the state and administrative resources are committed to silencing the opponents, Tonoyan said, especially their PAP teammates. As an example, he cited the criminal prosecution against Andranik Tevanyan, number two on the pre-election list, the proceedings against MP Martun Grigoryan.

“We will continue our constructive way of working, we will not deviate from our planned path, because it is fundamental for us to convey our political point of view and PAP vision to our compatriots. The government is conducting an ugly campaign these days with all possible and impossible methods, and I record this with pain, because it is absolutely unacceptable to speak to political opponents in this language. No matter how many unbalanced manifestations continue, we will not deviate from our path, although we understand I think this balanced behavior affects people. There is life after June 7th, and in fact we will maintain our level, and they, Those who speak like this will regret it.”

Iveta Tonoyan also noted with pain a video broadcast yesterday on Public TV, which refers to Gagik Tsarukyan’s family and which she described as a complete slander.

“I am very sorry that the Public TV Company has placed itself in the position of a subsidiary of “Haykakan Zhamna” (Nikol Pashinyan’s family daily – ed.), I am really sorry, because Public is a media fed by all of our taxes. We will go the legal way, our lawyers are already preparing a lawsuit regarding defamation”, informed Iveta Tonoyan, once again urging the government to return to the constructive field.
