One force will not be able to form a government. Edmon Marukyan, the chairman of the “Bright Armenia” party and candidate for the prime minister, announced this after the vote.

According to him, his expectation is that parliamentarism will return to the National Assembly and that Armenia will return to a peaceful life free from shocks.

According to Marukyan, the participation is high, which means that the political forces managed to activate the people in the campaign and bring them to the polling station.

“The message of the people will be that one force cannot form a government, put aside your ambitions and negotiate.”

He also mentioned that there are no arrestees of their force.

In particular, on June 6, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the total number of voters in the Republic of Armenia is 2 million 485 thousand 851 people, and according to the data published by the Central Election Commission, the total number of voters included in the voter register is 2 million 503 thousand 996 people. There is a difference of about 18,000 voters between these data, which cannot go unnoticed and requires a clear and exhaustive explanation.

The question arises: who are those additional thousands of voters, where did this difference come from, and what is the reason for it?

Out of 922 persons under house arrest in the Republic of Armenia, 869 have the right to vote.

As of 12:30 p.m., 434 people expressed their desire to participate in the election, of which 205 have already voted.

In Gyumri, masked persons blocked the entrance to the office of the opposition “Strong Armenia” alliance. Marianna Ghahramanyan, the press secretary of the political force, was the first to announce this.

Later, Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs Artur Khudinian confirmed to journalists that 3 people were arrested as a result of operations carried out in the office. The official did not specify what the arrests were related to. No other details are available at this time.

5 more people were arrested on charges of giving and receiving election bribes. This was reported by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee.
