YEREVAN, 1 AUGUST, ARMENPRESS. The Central Bank of Armenia informs “Armenpress” that today, 1 August, USD exchange rate down by 0.18 drams to 407.53 drams. EUR exchange rate up by 0.35 drams to 417.80 drams. Russian Ruble exchange rate down by 0.04 drams to 6.59 drams. GBP exchange rate up by 2.35 drams to 498.90 drams.

The Central Bank has set the following prices for precious metals.

Gold price down by 11.46 drams to 22973.73 drams. Silver price up by 9.58 drams to 262.90 drams. Platinum price stood at 16414.1 drams.

YEREVAN, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS. Armenia and Serbia are expanding the agenda of the bilateral relations, and healthcare sector could become one of the main axes, Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia said, adding that the opening of the Armenian Embassy in Belgrade soon will give a new impetus to the cooperation of the two countries.

Minister of Healthcare Anahit Avanesyan and Ambassador of Serbia to Armenia Tatjana Panajotovic Cvetkovic outlined the directions of developing the partnership. Those are the possibility of exchange of experience of doctors, the constant communication between medical centers, the reforms in primary healthcare, the mutual visits of medics and creation of rapid response mechanisms in emergency situations.

The issue of signing a memorandum of cooperation in the aforementioned sectors was also discussed.

Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan, who is in Georgia on a working visit, held meetings with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and Head of the Government Administration of Georgia Revaz Javelidze, ARMENPRESS was informed from the Office of the Prime Minister.

Irakli Garibashvili welcomed Mr. Harutyunyan's working visit to Georgia and highly appreciated the high level of Armenian-Georgian political dialogue.

It was noted that the relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, which is a good basis for further expansion of partnership.

Arayik Harutyunyan thanked for the warm reception and conveyed to the Prime Minister of Georgia the warm greetings of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. Mr. Harutyunyan emphasized that Armenia is interested in deepening multi-sectoral cooperation with Georgia and promoting the bilateral agenda.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the agenda of the Armenian-Georgian partnership, referring also to the regional situation and developments.

In turn, Irakli Garibashvili asked to convey his warm greetings to Prime Minister Pashinyan.

During the meeting with Head of the Government Administration of Georgia Revaz Javelidze, issues related to the collaboration between the public administration bodies of the two countries and the reforms implemented in different directions were discussed.

Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried on August 1. ARMENPRESS reports Ria Novosti informs that the Russian Federation follows the letter and spirit of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

"Our obligations under the bilateral agreements signed with the USA on the reduction and limitation of relevant armaments have been fully fulfilled. In a number of sections of the northern and northwestern border zone of the Republic of Artsakh, on August 1, starting at 09:00, the Azerbaijani units resorted to provocation, making attempts to cross the contact line, which were stopped by the forces of the Defense Army of Artsakh, ARMENPRESS reports the Defense Army of Artsakh informs that the Armenian side has suffered no casualties.

YEREVAN, AUGUST 1, ARMENPRESS. As of 22:00, the situation along the northern and northwestern front line of the Republic of Artsakh is relatively stable and continues to be under the full control of the Defense Army, ARMENPRESS reports the Information Headquarter of Artsakh informs.

"The information spread by some users on social networks about the Armenian side's manpower and positional losses do not correspond to the reality, and the military personnel of the Defense Army continues to protect the borderline.  

The command staff of the Defense Army, together with the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops stationed in Artsakh are taking appropriate steps to resolve the situation.

 Once again, we urge our compatriots to refrain from spreading unverified information," the message states.
