YEREVAN, MARCH 1, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received on March 1 newly appointed Ambassador of the USA to Armenia Lynne Tracy who delivered the copies of her credentials.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the press service of the MFA Armenia, Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated Lynne Tracy on assuming the responsible mission and hoped that the newly appointed Ambassador will have an important contribution to the further development of multi-layered relations between Armenia and the USA.

The sides referred to a broad scope of issues related to the Armenian-U.S. partnership.

The Armenian FM presented to Ambassador Tracy the recent domestic political developments in Armenia and the Government-led reform process based on the broad mandate of the people, highlighting the continuous cooperation with international partners.

Minister Mnatsakanyan and Ambassador Lynne Tracy exchanged views on international and regional urgent issues.

The Armenian FM presented to the U.S. Ambassador the approaches and position of Armenia on the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The visit is planned in March, but the details are unknown yet.

“The last working day at 47 Mashtots”, stated in the President’s Instagram page with a photo attached.

The Parliament during the November 21 extraordinary session adopted the bill on changing and amending the law regulating the issue according to which the President’s Office will move back to 26 Baghramyan from 47 Mashtots Avenue.

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. During the period from February 24 to March 2 the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact nearly 200 times by firing more than 3000 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions.

The Artsakh defense ministry told Armenpress that the Defense Army forces fully control the situation in the frontline and continue confidently conducting the military service.

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium on March 3-5, his Office told Armenpress.

During the visit Pashinyan will have high-level meetings with the EU leaders, including President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission Federica Mogherini.

After the meetings Pashinyan and Donald Tusk will make a statement for the media representatives. Pashinyan and the President of the European Commission will hold a joint press conference.

The Armenian PM will also visit the European Parliament and will deliver remarks at the foreign affairs committee.

Pashinyan is also expected to visit the Leuven city of the Flemish Region of Belgium. He will get acquainted with the activities and programs of the city’s educational and scientific-research institutions, including the Catholic university, the Research and Development Technology Transfer Office, IMEC Research Center, Healthcare Center.

On the sidelines of Pashinyan’s visit, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between Armenia’s ministry of education and science and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Flanders, as well as between the IMEC and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation.

During the visit PM Pashinyan will also meet with the business representatives of the Armenian community.

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan on March 1 met with India’s Ambassador to Russia Bala Venkatesh Varma, the EEC said, reports Armenpress.

“India’s economic development is really impressive. We suppose that the stable growth will change the country’s positions in the world economy in qualitative terms. Moreover, India is a big market. Our enterprises would like to have a broader representation there. We are also interested for the Indian entrepreneurs to be more active in the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)”, the EEC Board Chairman said.

During the meeting the Ambassador stated that the Indian side is interested in signing an agreement with the EAEU in the near future. He stated that India has a dynamic and positive partnership with all countries of the Union.

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. The conventional patient’s evacuation by the Ambulance helicopter has been tested in Armenia on March 2, Healthcare minister Arsen Torosyan said live on Facebook, reports Armenpress.

Earlier the healthcare ministry said it is planning to set up a sanitary aviation service in partnership with the Armenian Helicopters LLC.

In 2019, landing areas for helicopters will be created in the territories of St. Gregory the Illuminator and Erebuni medical centers of Yerevan.

Arsenal boss said Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a very good person, he can speak a lot of languages. “He has experienced a lot of countries. As a player he is making a good career. And I think he can also improve and can also write a new history for himself”, the Arsenal head coach said.
