The World Junior Stars Chess Tournament continues in Kirishi, Russia.

After 8 rounds, the tournament table is progressing four chess players, who have scored 5.5 points each. Among them are our delegates, GM Aram Hakobyan and international master Shant Sargsyan. The first played a draw with 12 years’ old Volodar Murzin in this round, and the other shared points with 17 years’ old Sergey Lobanov.

The games of the 9th round will take place today. Aram Hakobyan will play with white figures with Dmitry Kuznetsov, who lost in all eight games. Shant Sargsyan’s opponent is Arsen Nesterov, who is on the penultimate spot. Armenian chess player Mamikon Gharibyan has 4 points and is currently sharing the 6-7th places.

Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said before addressing the agenda at the Government’s session that he had appealed to Armenian President Armen Sargsyan to move Movses Hakobyan to another job and dismiss him.

“I want to say that the decision was made in the atmosphere of mutual agreement, today there will be a new appointment, and tomorrow the head of the new headquarters will be presented to the armed forces,” the PM said.

The head of the RA Government Staff Eduard Aghajanyan wrote on his Facebook page the following:

“The RA Prime Minister held a telephone conversation with Garegin Chugaszyan, asking the latter to stop the hunger strike. I join the request of Mr. Pashinyan.”

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Rustam Badasyan Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee.

Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan had a conversation with journalists before the Government session. He noted that all region governors should be dismissed and new governors should be appointed.

“The governors will be appointed soon, and the Prime Minister will introduce the new governors to the government within the powers granted to him by the constitution,” he said.

The journalists were interested whether representatives of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Prosperous Armenia would be appointed governors. “There is no decision at this moment.”

“The photo of Serzh Sargsyan is no longer hanging in my room,” Deputy Head of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Gambaryan said before the Government session today.

“The photo used to be in my room before, I took it off when he resigned.”

Asked whether Serzh Sargsyan’s photo remained in the offices of the other investigators, Gambaryan said:

” I do not know. Any official himself decides how to equip his office. ”

Asked whether he would hang a photo of Nikol Pashinyan, he noted: “No, I do not consider it appropriate”.

Artur Gambaryan responded to the rumours of his departure.

“When I consider that there are grounds for my departure, I will leave.”

Ashot Manucharyan, a member of the Karabakh Committee, believed that the “Sasna Tsarer” group members could be considered political prisoners because the reasons for their actions were purely political. The previous government has eliminated and equated all the paths and levers of zero through which it would be possible to fight.

According to Manucharyan, after the revolution, there was an institute called the Revolutionary Committee, which is now the decision maker concerning the situation in the country.

“Pashinyan declared it. He says he will not put pressure on the courts, which is right. It would not be okay if Nikol Pashinyan or someone else dictated to the court. There are many courts in Armenia, prosecutors, they must be independent, but the situation is not the case. There are no worse things that serve the country but them. But the people, whom Nikol Pashinyan called the revolutionary committee, and the revolutionary people created a revolutionary committee and dictate now. He must ask these judges to serve the people. That is what the people consider fair, it is right. ”

Ashot Manucharyan also drew parallels with the 1988 Karabakh Movement.

“Frankly speaking, I was against Nikol Pashinyan entering the government. There could be someone else there. It was Karabakh Committee’s gross mistake that he entered the government. That is why we lost the revolution and lost the organized people. There is nothing higher than people governing,”said Ashot Manucharyan.

Karo Yeghnukyan accused of supporting “Sasna Tsrer” group may be released.

Shortly before his defender Tigran Hayrapetyan presented a motion to the judge on changing the preventive measure of Karo Yeghnukyan.

According to the lawyer Karo Yeghnukyan, he is not in custody.

The prosecutor Hakob Yenokyan said that due to Karo Yeghnukyan’s health condition, the circumstance of the investigation was diminished.

The prosecutor asked for the replacement of a written restraint measure.

“The pawn is a deterrent,” said the prosecutor, who objected to the defender.

At this moment Judge Artush Gabrielyan is in an advisory room.
