Alfred Abedi: When Nairit is closed, people complain, demanding to open it (video)

The plant in Yeghvard, which will manufacture lubricants and bitumen, will be safe for the environment and residents. This is noted today, at the meeting with journalists, by the director of the company “Armoil” Alfred Abedi and the representative of the “Multi Group” Arayik Kesoyan.

“We have repeatedly stated: we will have green production. The word oil refining is wrong, there will be the production of lubricating oils. We do not have any rubbish or emissions. And the available emissions burn at high temperatures,” Arayik Kesoyan said.

A few days ago, residents of the Yerevan’s Nati district of Yerevan blocked the Yerevan-Yeghvard highway, demanding that construction work cease as there are no guarantees of its safety. However, Alfred Abedi argues that very few of those who block the highway, know the reason why they why block it.

“I already do not understand anything. When Nairit is closed, people complain, demanding to open it. When it is open they demand to close it,” Alfred Abedi said .

Alfred Abedi is dissatisfied that there are no relevant specialists who will carry out expertise in the field of oil products processing.

Alfred Abedi added that if everything goes as planned, then within 40-45 days the plant will be launched.

Sero Khanzadyan’s library missing today

During Sero Khanzadyan’s lifetime, his home in Goris, which he built himself, famous adults were gathering often there, talking, organizing literary evenings. After his death, the house was sold, was later bought by the state, and became known as a house-museum. It was renovated for several times, and  was opened officially in the framework of the “Goris CIS Cultural Capital” event several days ago.

Khachik Harutyunyan from Goris remembers Sero Khanzadyan since his childhood. He had been there many times with his father. He remembers how they were working, but they were talking with each other much more.

“Many things have disappeared from Khanzadyan’s personal belongings, very few things have been saved from the house, then his son brought some things, his sister donated things. But the manuscripts are almost absent, he had a wonderful library of 24,000 pieces of books that do not exist today,” says Khachik Harutyunyan regretfully. According to him, there are many unfinished works to do.

“He was a man of extremes, but he was a great Armenian and not only a great Armenian, but also a too Armenian. Armenia began from Adam and Eva for Sero Khanzadyan,” Khachik Harutyunyan recalls.
