From now on, Armenian mobile developers can place and sell their created apps in Android Google Play.

Before, Armenian developers have had the opportunity to place free apps on Google Play that have been available worldwide. However, paid apps that may contain in-app purchases, were not allowed be placed and sold by the Developer accounts that were opened in Armenia, as Armenia was not included in the list of countries allowed by Google. So, local companies were forced to open Developer accounts in other countries and pay taxes for sales in other countries. There were also difficulties in getting money, as Google sent out the money only to the bank accounts opened in that country.

Armenian specialists have repeatedly raised this issue, and since last year, negotiations were initiated between the representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia and Google on this issue.

Finally last week, these negotiations were over. Companies registered in Armenia can sell their apps on Google Play and get revenues.

This was a real obstacle for Armenian programmers. As a result of its elimination, the number of mobile applications produced in Armenia will increase, and their consumption in the international market will increase.

Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia:

The Public Council at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia summed up the results of the Commission on Applying for Citizens’ Appeals and Claims during the summer conscription of 2018, which states the effective cooperation of the Commission with citizens and conscription agencies.

Overall they received 142 complaints. 80 of them were processed, of which 74 were addressed to the Central Medical Commission, referring to the conscription and evaluation of conscripts’ health status.

The Commission has also processed an application-complaint of three compulsory military servicemen, whose resolution is controlled by the Public Council.

Ara Papian, head of the Modus Vivendi Center says that according to our constitution, the President of the Republic is immune, but there is a precondition: Robert Kocharyan is immune to actions stemming from his status.

“The SIS made a mistake in the sense that it presented a rather disputable charge. I think then there can be another charge, which is easier to prove, let’s say illegal enrichment.”

Ara Papian believes that failure of Robert Kocharyan’s conference was wrong. “Kocharyan is not one of those people who will sink alone, he will give names. The society should know the whole truth about March 1.”

Ara Papian does not think that the failure of the news conference has been directed by the current authorities. According to another opinion that he has heard, the aforementioned was directed by Kocharyan so that he would not answer questions.

If Robert Kocharyan wants to speak, he can organize a press conference today, invite reporters to his house, and answer questions on live broadcast.”

According to Ara Papian, the trial should be fair and competitive. “I am convinced that whatever decision the court will make, some part of the society will not accept it. If Justice was through the phone call, they would not release Kocharyan,” he said.

Today, Sedrak Mamulyan, chairman of the Armenian Culinary Traditions Development and Conservation NGO, told a news conference that this year, a barbecue festival is being held in Armenia for the tenth time, and which is the favorite dish of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He expects that the Prime Minister and some members of the Government will attend the festival as well.

“I would like officials to come as guests and taste like everyone else. I have not yet encountered with the new government, I invite everyone,” he says.

Traditionally, there will be also participants from Georgia. The festival will be held this Sunday in Akhtala.

“We have demanded that the prices should be. They should start from 1000 to 1500 AMD and will be available by weight. That is, they will be in the form of small pieces that a person can take 2 or 3 different dishes and that should be affordable  for him,” says Sedrak Mamulyan.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, taking into account the proposal of the Prime Minister, recalled Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Belarus Oleg Yesayan.

The representatives of Armenia proposed to make amendments to the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, (CSTO) according to which that country will represent Armenia in the CSTO Security Council.

This was reported by Interfax. According to the information, the initiative was sounded on Tuesday at the session of the CSTO permanent council.

The draft Protocol on Amendments to the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992 and the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organization of October 7, 2002 were also discussed. According to it, the Armenian Prime Minister is responsible for the decisions on the matters considered by the CSTO Collective Security Council.

The CSTO Secretariat drafted the Protocol on the amendment of the part of CSTO basic articles. The Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization decided to submit draft documents for interstate coordination.

Technical means of broadcasting of some radio companies will be disconnected for two hours

The Armenian Television and Radio Broadcasting Company informs that due to the renovation and painting of anti-horizontal protective layer of Metal Structures of H = 308m highway Yerevan, , are the technical means of broadcasting of some radio companies will be disconnected from August 16 to September 3, from 06.00 am to 08.00 am.
