The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is ready to cooperate with all political forces, including 2nd President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, Vice Speaker of the Parliament, RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters in the Parliament.

“The RPA is a consolidated political force. We are ready to cooperate with all political forces, including Robert Kocharyan. As a state, political figure Robert Kocharyan has much to say and do in Armenia’s political field. This is my private opinion”, he said.

Sharmazanov thinks that Kocharyan will engage in politics, moreover, he is already engaged in politics.

Armenia’s Court of Appeals has rejected the appeal of CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov’s attorney Mihran Poghosyan.

The Special Investigative Service of Armenia has charged CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov over the 2008 March 1 case under the Article 300.1 part 1 of the Criminal Code for breaching the constitutional order of the Republic of Armenia in conspiracy with others. Khachaturov was serving as deputy defense minister of Armenia in 2008. On July 27 the Special Investigative Service filed a motion to remand Khachaturov into custody. The court approved the motion. But on July 28, Yuri Khachaturov has been released on bail.

In response to ARMENPRESS question whether they are going to submit an appeal to Court of Cassation, attorney Mihran Poghosyan said they will express their position upon receiving the court’s ruling and discussing the formulations included in it.

Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian and Speaker of the Parliament Ara Babloyan had a meeting on August 28.

Speaker Babloyan came up with the proposal to meet earlier with the statement made on the country’s domestic political situation.

Ara Babloyan informed the President that during yesterday’s meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan they stated that all steps aimed at solving the issues should be in accordance with democratic standards and in an atmosphere of political dialogue, negotiations and discussions.

President Armen Sarkissian highlighted the importance of the Constitution and reaffirmed his stance according to which the issues are solved at best through dialogue and talks, and the sides respect the agreements reached during these talks by consistently taking actions directed for these agreements, learning lessons and recording success.

American-Armenian professional poker player, “King of Instagram” Dan Bilzerian has been hosted by the National Security Service officers of the Republic of Artsakh, Artsakh special presidential envoy, former director of the National Security Service Arshavir Gharamyan said on Facebook.

Gharamyan posted a photo and a video on Facebook.

Dan Bilzerian arrived in Artsakh on August 28.
