ArmInfo. There is no serious concern in Armenia about forgery of coins
and pieces of money, particularly, the ones with big nominal values,
Vakhtang Abrahamyan, a member of Board of the Central Bank of Armenia
(CBA) told journalists, Monday.

"This fact is conditioned by the degrees of protection used in Armenian
currency units",- he said.

For his part, Simon Simonyan, the head of the CBA department for
payment-settlement systems and money turnover, pointed out that
banknotes with small nominal value, particularly 1000 AMD banknotes
are more frequently forged. "But this forgery is 10 times as little
met as in Europe",- he stressed. He added that in Armenia pieces of
money are mostly forged by means of xerox copiers and color printers.

The city hall of Stepanakert has decided to decorate the bridges
with flower pots, like in Yerevan. The bridges of the capital of
Armenia bloomed on the eve of the election of mayor. In the capital
of Karabakh no elections are scheduled in the nearest future but it
does not matter. What matters is that flower pots are lucrative. In
Stepanakert, however, there are only two bridges, and they decided
to put pots on the Central Square along the fence. For people not to
look up and remember that the trees were cut in the same square for
security reasons.

The feast of the Assumption of the Theotokos

"OUR YOUTH ARE OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE, WE SHOULD LISTEN TO THEM"
Said His Holiness Aram I in his sermon

Sunday 16 August was the Feast of the Assumption of the Theotokos. This
Feast is also pilgrimage to the Monastery of St. Mary in Bikfaya (Lebanon).

Pilgrims started arriving at the Monastery on Thursday 13th to pray, assist
the Vigil and share in the Eucharist during the Divine Liturgy.

In his sermon, His Holiness Aram I said: "On this day of the Feast of the
Assumption of the Theotokos, I pray to her to intercede with her Son on
behalf of our youth. We declared 2009 Year of Youth to remind ourselves that
youth are both our present and future, and therefore, we should listen and
respond to them. Today, our youth are facing many problems. We should enable
them to discover the spiritual foundations of our church, the ethical values
arising from the teaching of our church, and the cultural traditions shaped
by our Armenian roots. Therefore, the Year for Youth is an invitation to all
of us to pray and request from the Theotokos to intercede with her Son for
our youth."

After the Holy Eucharist, the Catholicos blessed the grapes. According to
ancient Armenian tradition people eat grapes only after they are blessed
during the Divine Liturgy of the Feast of Assumption.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Attacking Armenian sites, Azerbaijan is trying
to divert attention from the problems of their society, including
of the armed forces. Samvel Martirosyan information security expert
and Eduard Abrahamyan , expert of the Mitk analytical center told a
press conference in Yerevan today devoted to issues of "Information
security, current tasks".

The experts explained, it is evident that Azerbaijan has launched
a large-scale promotional campaign, it continually states that the
economy grows, the level of military training is improving, everything
is perfect in the country, in contrast to Armenia, where everything
is very bad.

Azerbaijan opens information front line, where it is trying to score,
distracting public attention from the situation in their country.
