DEMONISING DISSENT, A COMMENT

Demonising Dissent

It’s a mystery to me how anyone could possibly deny that the Shoah
(Holocaust) happened ! The wealth of evidence is overwhelming.

Photos, film footage, eyewitness accounts and the testimonies of
survivors – as well as much courtroom documentation – all paint a
vivid picture of a hell on earth. In all of Human History, there is
probably no other event that is so well documented.

Nevertheless, there are those who do not believe it. One can only
look in wonder at these "Holocaust Deniers".

Perhaps, their "reason" is that they cannot accept the fact that
Humanity has a dark and diabolical aspect that, unleashed, can commit
unimaginable evil.

Germany, the nation where the demons were first unleashed, may still
be suffering from a great burden of Guilt. Naturally, but it could
have happened anywhere. Germany would better salve its conscience by
working to ensure that nothing comparable ever happens again.

To forbid Free Speech, however, is to fall back into the mind-set of
an all-powerful State, a mind-set that allowed the Shoah to happen.

Free Speech applies not only to those who agree with us, but also to
those whose views are diametrically opposed to our own.

The term "Hate Crimes" should only be applied to those who incite
others to violence, based upon prejudice. It should never be applied
to those who merely question or disagree with us.

The Shoah/Holocaust is probably the worst Crime Against Humanity
that has ever occurred. Curtailing the basic Right of Free Speech,
however, will not expiate any Guilt.

Of course, there may be discrepancies in the actual figures, because
such an "accounting" can beleaguer the Human Spirit. Who can accept
such a horror ? How is it possible that Human Beings could have
committed such horrendous crimes ?

The Human Spirit recoils and says, "No, it couldn’t have happened. No
one could have done such terrible things. No one could have
systematically designed, developed and applied technology to kill
millions of people !"

Nevertheless, IT DID HAPPEN !

Germany was taken over by the Nazis who brought the blood sacrifice
cult to its zenith and denied the obvious fact that Humanity is a
Unity, with many divisions. The Nazis sought a "pure race", whatever
that means, for we are all inter-related in one Unity, one Human Race.

Their insane beliefs brought us the greatest degradation of Human
Society that the world has ever known.

Beyond words like "Tragedy" and "Horror", the Nazis killed and tortured
MILLIONS of Human Beings !

One may discuss the actual figures. One book I have read states
4.5 Million Jews, whereas the official figure is 6 Million. The
difference is obviously irrelevant. Only the most pedantic would
attach any real significance to such numerical discrepancies when
faced with the enormity of the crime. The fact is that MILLIONS of
Jews were killed in a mad sacrifice to a demonic belief !

Yes, there were also millions of Gypsies, now called "Roma", after
the Language of Gypsies. There were also homosexuals and many others
who did not fit into the so-called "Master Plan"

Were this not a well-documented fact, one might think it a nightmare
fantasy.

Nevertheless, IT DID HAPPEN and YES, HUMAN BEINGS ARE CAPABLE OF SUCH
INSANE HORROR.

To a far lesser degree, it happened in Rwanda and Bosnia. It might
even happen again – which is but one reason to never forget the
Shoah/Holocaust.

Historically, there were also other Genocides: the Native Americans;
the Africans who died on the Atlantic and in Slavery; the Armenian
Massacre under the Ottomans and the Albigensian "Crusade", among
others. There are also "prolonged genocides", today, called "Ethnic
Cleansing".

The great difference, however, is that the Nazi Regime planned,
developed and applied modern technology, for the expressed purpose
of ELIMINATING peoples from the Earth, not only from one country.

Nevertheless, there are those whose Spirits are so innocent that they
cannot believe that Human Beings could even imagine such horror.

We should not punish such souls. We can only pity them and – in some
ways – admire their innocence.

Strangely, however, we have decided to punish them. We have even
decided not to allow them to speak openly.

THIS IS A GREAT MISTAKE !

To forbid the questioning of the Holocaust and to forbid others from
denying its reality will only drive the deniers underground. It will
also lend a measure of "credence" to their misconceptions. Sadly,
it will also serve the interests of the prejudiced sick minds who
judge people according to their Race or Religion.

No, we must allow anyone to question anything !

Atheism has not stopped Organised Religion and the Flat Earth Society
has not endangered the planet.

Anyone who sincerely attempts any research into the Shoah is bound
to find out the Truth. It happened ! It might also happen again –
lest we forget.

Let the so-called "Holocaust Deniers" do their research. They too
will eventually come to recognize Reality. If they don’t, the facts
themselves will eventually silence them.

Let those who refuse to face the facts walk in their own darkness –
but let them walk freely !

Please read the following reports – and think again.

Three Delegations Of The Turkish Meclis To Be Sent To Washington

THREE DELEGATIONS OF THE TURKISH MECLIS TO BE SENT TO WASHINGTON

Genocide Recognition

Action, Scheduled on February 4, Delayed by Prime Minister’s Initiative

Azg had earlier related an editorial publication by "The Washington
Times" that the Armenian and Greek lobbies have much more power in
the USA than the pro-Turkish politicians. "The Washington Times" also
adds that the historical and political controversies between those
groups negatively influence US Government’s policy of partnership
with Turkey. At present the cornerstone of the contradictions is the
project of Resolution on the Armenian Genocide submitted to the US
Congress. Also it should be taken into consideration that President
Bush’s cabinet is an advocate of the neo-conservators, which are
controlled by Israel.

Neither the Prime Minister of Turkey nor the Commander of the Turkish
Armed Forces were not satisfied by the American Government’s promises
to impede the resolution’s adoption. Prime Minister of Israel in his
return gave dubitable response to Turkey’s request of using the Jewish
lobby against the Resolution.

Nevertheless the authorities of Turkey made decision to send three
parliamentary delegations to Washington.

"CNN-Turk" on February 21 reported that the first delegation of Meclis
(the Turkish Nationa; Assembly) will arrive in the USA on February
25 and depart on March 4, the visit of the next oen will last March
11-18, and the visit of the last delegation is scheduled on eth last
week of March. Representatives of Erdogan’s "Justice and Prosperity"
and Baykal’s opposition parties are included in the delegation.

The agenda of the delegations has not been cleared out yet, but
"CNN-Turk" affirmed that their main mission is to advocate the
Turkish point of view of the 1915 events. It should be notd that
the departure of the first parliamentary delegation for Washington
had been scheduled for already February 4, but was delayed by the
warnings of Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul.

PACE MISSION ON CULTURAL MONUMENTS TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA

Today, Azerbaijan
Feb 19 2007

The mission on cultural monuments of the Parliamentary Assembly of
the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit the South Caucasus in May
this year.

Edward O’Hara, General Rapporteur on Cultural Heritage of the PACE
Committee on Culture, Science and Education told the APA that the
mission could not visit the region in autumn last year because of
the weather and they decided to visit the region in summer.

O’Hara said the members of the mission have not coordinated all
the issues.

Commenting on erecting the monument devoted to Shusha’s occupation
in Yerevan, the rapporteur said they will not deal with this problem.

"My mission is engaged in historical-cultural monuments and their
state, not in politics. I never make political statements, on the
contrary I want to separate culture from politics," he said.

PACE mission will concern itself with the state of cultural monuments
in Armenia and Azerbaijan (Nagorno Karabakh, Nakhchivan).

"Once I Had Two Dwelling Places Whereas at Present I Have Nothing"

`ONCE I HAD TWO DWELLING PLACES WHEREAS AT PRESENT I HAVE NOTHING’
[12:17 pm] 15 February, 2007

It is already 10 years 46-year-old Ruzanna has been
living outdoors. Currently she spends her time in the
environs of Shengavit metro station and sleeps in one
of the nearby booths.

`One I had two dwelling places. I presented one of
them to the sufferers of the Spitak earthquake and
sold the other. And now I sleep in the streets’, says
Ruzanna. She has got 8-year-old daughter who is
presently in an orphanage. `She is the joy of my life,
and they deprived me of her’, says the mother in
despair. He has tried many times to take the child
back but her request has been turned down on the
motivation that she has got neither a job nor a
dwelling place.

The representative of the Social Welfare Ministry told
A1+ that the mother can fetch her daughter any moment
unless she is deprived of parental rights. Only then
Ruzanna confessed that the main reason she cannot take
her daughter is that she is mentally handicapped. In
answer to our question why she doesn’t work, Ruzanna
said, `I have tried to find a job a few times, but
nobody seems to be eager to employ someone in such
dirty clothes’.

Ruzanna feeds on the bread given by the passers-by and
shop-assistants. She has asked various political
figures for help but all her efforts were in vain.
`They only give promises and never keep them’, says
Ruzzana and adds, `they wanted to send me to a nursing
home but I objected’.

Ruzanna’s only wish is to be together with her
daughter which unfortunately is impossible.

Did Armenia Or Georgia Lose?

DID ARMENIA OR GEORGIA LOSE?

"The Armenians of Javakhq have to join to fight together against the
modern challenges for the sake of the security of Javakhq and all the
Armenians. We have to realize that what we lose today we can never
recover tomorrow", said member of the "United Javakhq" Presidium
Vahagn Chakhalyan in an interview to "Javakhq-Info". He mentioned
that the political powers of Javakh have to cooperate regardless of
their personal interests.

According to him, the construction of the railway Kars-Akhalqalaq
will cost too dear, and it will be hard to provide security. Besides,
there are many questions in the realization of the project.

"According to a number of Georgian experts, the ports of Poti and
Batumi will suffer economically. Besides, there is serious danger of
Turkish hordes entering the region alongside with the construction
of the railway".

"Alongside with this, there are two more important factors. First,
the number of Azeri minorities has increased in Georgia, and second,
between Azerbaijan and Turkey only Javakhq is populated by non-Turkish
people. In this context, the idea that the construction of the railway
is a challenge for the national security of Georgia is not at all
sentimental", said Chakhalyan adding that he agrees with Georgian
expert Giya Khukhashvili. According to the latter, Georgia signed a
capitulation agreement.

TURKISH CHIEF OF STAFF TRIES TO STOP DISCUSSIONS OVER ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Yasar Buyukanit during his official visit to the United States will
meet with U.S. Congress Committee on Foreign Relations head Tom
Lantos. The focus of this meeting will be the Armenian Genocide bill
introduced in the Congress. It is anticipated that Buyukanit will
stress to Lantos that the possible acceptance by the U.S. Congress
of this bill could have a serious impact on relations between Turkey
and the U.S., including logistical support which has been extended
thus far by Turkey to U.S. forces fighting in Iraq, Hurriyet reports.

Traditional Parties Will Cooperate

TRADITIONAL PARTIES WILL COOPERATE
By Meri Aleksanian

Yerkir.am
February 09, 2007

Hrant Margarian believes cooperation between the three traditional
parties and pan-Armenian political forces was conditioned by several
circumstances.

"First of all, I believe that the struggle for the Hay Dat with its
successes needs to taken to a new level. And such cooperation is
necessary in order to determine the principles and strategy for this
struggle, to clarify the new issues and new directions. Secondly,
I believe those parties that represent the thinking of different
segments of our society should be able to counter the anti-national,
anti-political tendencies that penetrate our reality because of
globalization. Third, there are specific issues that determine such
cooperation".

Representatives of the parties’ highest bodies arrived at an agreement
to cooperate on a number of pan-Armenian issues such as Hay Dat,
new stages in Genocide Recognition, issues of security and national
identity of Diaspora communities, etc.

Margarian assured cooperation will be pan-Armenian and will not
be connected with the political orientation and ideologies of the
parties involved. "This can serve as a positive example for other
political parties- it will show that parties can have different
political orientation, different ideologies and peculiarities,
but can at the same time be ready for cooperation on common goals,"
Margarian believes.

The meeting was initiated by Ramkavar Azatakan Party and Hnchakian
Party.

However, Margarian stressed that all parties were interested in the
issues raised and the agenda of the meeting and sphere of cooperation
were determined jointly by all parties.

The three parties have cooperated in the past on several occasions,
particularly, they exerted unanimity and consolidated approaches on the
issue of Genocide recognition. Margarian believes cooperation should
be raised to a higher level to work on more global issues. A working
group will be established that will follow up on implementation of
the agreements reached at the meeting in Paris.

"This is going to be high level work. Time will show to what extent
these plans will be implemented. I am optimistic about this initiative,
let us hope the plans will be realized," Margarian concluded.
