Arminfo. Representative of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia
Samvel Nikoyan has been nominated to the post of vice-speaker of
Armenian parliament. The post became vacant after resignation of
Hrayr Karapetyan, member of ARF Dashnaktiutyun, which left the ruling
coalition as a protest against the roadmap between foreign ministries
of Armenia and Turkey.

Asked by deputy of the parliament from ARFD Vahan Hovannisyan how
the future vice-speaker is going to gain his principles of earlier
he was a student of Marxism-Leninism University, but later became
a representative of the RPA, which has absolutely different views,
Samvel Nikoyan recalled he used to be a student of Polytechnic
Institute after Karl Marx. Representative of the opposition Heritage
party Lasira Alaverdyan supported Hovannisyan’s question and said
that in the parliament they are often guided not by the ideological
principles but by being a member of one and the same group. She
reminded the deputies of the fact that some deputies do not attend the
parliament session and attend them to vote for themselves and their
colleagues. Speaker of the parliament Hovik Abrahamyan called deputies
to stop making populist statements and to mention specific facts.

Two Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional passenger aircraft are due to undergo
flight tests in mountainous conditions in Armenia, Russian Deputy
Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said on Saturday during a two-day visit
in Yerevan.

"In July the aircraft will fly to Armenia to undergo flight tests in
high mountainous conditions," said Sergei Ivanov.

Ivanov said that Armenia’s national airline, Armavia, would be the
first country to receive the Superjet 100.

The aggregate volume of direct Russian investments in Armenia’s economy
amounts to over 1.8 billion dollars, Sergei Ivanov told journalists.

According to Ivanov, Russia is the main investor in the economy
of Armenia.

"Some 1,000 Armenian companies work with the participation of Russian
capitals," he said. "All major Russian companies are engaged in
business in Armenia, and the aggregate volume of direct investments
amounts to 1.8 billion dollars."

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that in 2008, Russian Railways
(RZD) became a concessive manager of the Armenian railway, and the
RZD daughter company – – South-Caucasian Railway (SCR) began working
since that year.

"According to plan, investments in the SCR in 2009 will amount to 2.7
billion roubles," Ivanov said. "These funds are included in the budget
and=2 0despite hard times, will be invested in the Armenian railway."

According to Ivanov, "it is necessary to put in order the railway
of Armenia." As he said, moneys will be used to upgrade the railway
track economy, increase trains’ speed and repair rolling-stock.

During his visit to the SCR office, Ivanov gave instructions to
especially study the issue of deliveries of building materials to
the Olympic building sites in Sochi.

BAKU: Turkish Premier Rules Out Disagreements With Azerbaijan

TURKISH PREMIER RULES OUT DISAGREEMENTS WITH AZERBAIJAN

Turan News Agency
May 13 2009
Azerbaijan

Baku, 13 May: There cannot be any disagreements between Turkey and
Azerbaijan because the relations between the two countries are based
on the principle – one nation, two states. Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this addressing members of the Azerbaijani
parliament.

"Not only the present day, but also history unites us. Turkish
soldiers who fought for Azerbaijan’s independence are buried in
Baku. The founder of the Azerbaijani state, Mammad Amin Rasulzada,
is buried in Ankara," Erdogan said.

In his opinion there should be complete trust between the two
countries and there is no place for provocations of "opponents of
the fraternity" of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Touching upon the cooling
in bilateral relations over the past months, Erdogan said that it
had been caused by a report on an Armenian website which said that
Turkey decided to sacrifice Azerbaijan’s interests in Karabakh for
improvement in its relations with Armenia.

"After that I repeatedly denied this in [Turkey’s] parliament and
during some international events. However, some used these insinuations
for an anti-Turkish campaign," Erdogan said.

He said that Ankara had informed, through its Foreign Ministry,
official Baku about the course of the negotiations with Armenia.

He stressed that [Turkey’s] border with Armenia was closed after the
occupation of Azerbaijani territories. He said that the border would
not be open until the territories were liberated.

He added that even during US President Barack Obama’s visit to Turkey,
official Ankara brought to the foreground the Karabakh conflict,
not bilateral relations between Ankara and Washington.

"Turkey has never done anything to the detriment of Azerbaijan’s
interests and it will never do so," Erdogan said.

Erdogan’s speech was emotional and contained references to the classics
of Azerbaijani and Turkish literature. He cited the national anthems
of the two countries.

Erdogan’s speech was interrupted with applauds, and in the end, he
received an ovation from the audience that was very recently accusing
the Turkish government of betrayal.

Erdogan’s speech had a very important point where he mentioned Mammad
Amin Rasulzada, not Heydar Aliyev as the founder of the Azerbaijani
state.

The Nakba, The Transfer, The Zionist Copy of The Final Solution of
the Palestinian Nation.

In memory of the Palestinians infants, babies, men and woman who were
murdered in the Zionist death campaigns of 1948.

The Palestinian Nakba or the huge catastrophe is the legal child of
the Zionist Transfer or the final solution of Palestine. The outcome
of the Nakba was the destruction of Palestine and the displacement
of most of its folk who were replaced by East European Jews.

The term Transfer is a hateful term for Palestinians in regard to
its political association. It is a linguistic discourse arrived in
Palestine with the Zionists. Palestinians view the Transfer as the
Zionist copy of the Nazi final solution; despite the fact that no
Zionist written document used literarily the term final solution to
describe their policy of driving Palestinians out of Palestine.

But the stated policy towards Palestine as articulated by major
Zionist thinkers before they arrived to Palestine, and as implemented
by Jewish terrorist organizations after their arrival, and until now,
demonstrate beyond doubt that the Zionist Transfer carries the same
traits of the Nazi final solution.

The Nakba was the Transferring of Palestinians from their ancestral
home country by acts of organized terror, in the Palestinian town of
Lydia, to site a typical example among hundreds. Zionists massacred in
cold blood 176 innocent Palestinians who went to hide in the Dahmash
mosque thinking that Zionist might respect the mosque. Ben Gorion
gave Isaac Rabin a clear order "Expel them!"

This order resembles the essence of Zionism as a ruthless ideology
providing all evidences that human respect is an alien term for
it. Therefore the Transfer of Palestinians was not committed accidently
by Zionists; it was planned long before Adolf Hitler and Nazism was
born which must raise a debate whether Nazism which was influenced
by Zionism and not the contrary as most researchers assume.

At a Zionist conference in 1937 the Zionist policy made to implement
the final solution of the Palestinian nation was confirmed by Ben
Gorion: "to Transfer Arab populations out of the area, if possible of
their own free will, if not by coercion." But he added that he knew
no Palestinian would leave his home voluntarily which naturally made
the choice of using means of terror as the only choice.

In a documentary film made few years by an Israeli film director,
a Zionist soldier describes his experience in the west bank as such:

"I felt like God, I could kill or keep alive any Palestinian". That
soldier summarizes the story of Zionism in Palestine as an ideology
lacks the minimum of human sentiments and ready to use the cause of
European Jews murdered in the Holocaust as a make up to conceal its
crimes in Palestine.

It must be borne in minds that the transferring of Palestinians is not
a historical event that took place in 1948 and stopped. It is rather an
ongoing process that aims to empty Palestine from its native folk. But
the fact is when Israel became a member of the UN in 1949 it was on
the condition that it allows the Palestinian refugees of going back
to their original homes, and should receive compensination for their
losses according to international law .Israel has completely ignored
this demand .On this ground Israel could be expelled from the UN.

The Paradox is that before Zionist invaded Palestine, Palestinians had
the land and Zionists lived in ghettoes, After the Zionist invasion,
Zionists live and still do reside in Palestinian villages and cities
while Palestinians are forced to live forever exiled to camps and in
scattered ghettoes.

Since the second Nakba in 1967, Israel has built more than 150 Jewish
only settlements on the occupied west bank, which are inhabited
by around half million armed settlers. Most of those settlers are
classified as "ideological settlers" who believe God is a Zionist and
he gave the land only to Jews and thusly feel they have the right to
steal Palestinian land following this conviction.

The wall Israel establishes is perhaps the longest discriminatory
wall in history. The Berlin wall is a mere shadow compared with the
Zionist wall. The consequence of building this wall is disastrous on
more than 250,000 Palestinians farmers who would have no access to
enter their land. The Zionist wall has turned the cities of Qalqilya
and Tulkarem into open prisons or into Ghettos as if Zionist who
mostly arrived from Ghettoes in East Europe seeks to turn Palestine
into number of ghettoes.

The term Transfer is much used these days by Zionists and Jewish
fascist like Lieberman who declared plans to uproot the native
Palestinian community in the state of Israel. This group of
Palestinians compromise over than 22 percent survivors of Palestine
natives who lived the Zionist horrors of 1948.

They are in percentage double in contrast to the blacks in the USA,
and more in Percentage to the Kurds of Iraq.

Today in the USA they have elected a black president. Blacks now in
most cases enjoy their rights along with the rest of Americans, in
Iraq the president is Kurd, and the foreign minister is Kurd. In the
Zionist state, the Moldavian Jewish fascist demands that the natives
of Palestine sign an oath of loyalty otherwise the transfer plan is
the alternative.

If Lieberman succeeds in enforcing this law it would be a new page
in modern history ,its first victim would be the human achievements
in the question of modern state, the equal rights for all citizens,
human rights etc.. Zionist Jews would be contributing in returning
history behind the enlightment time.

Kathleen Kristson worked many years as high official for the CIA in
the Middle East gives a clear picture to the Zionist policy 61 years
after the Zionist final solution for Palestine:

"When a powerful state kills hundreds of civilians from another ethnic
group; confiscates their land; builds vast housing complexes on that
land for the exclusive use of its own nationals; builds roads on that
land for the exclusive use of its own nationals; prevents expansion
of the other people’s neighborhoods and towns; demolishes on a massive
scale houses belonging to the other people, in order either to prevent
that people’s population growth, to induce them "voluntarily" to leave
their land altogether, or to provide "security" for its own nationals;
imprisons the other people in their own land behind checkpoints,
roadblocks, ditches, razor wire, electronic fences, and concrete walls;
squeezes the other people into ever smaller, disconnected segments
of land; cripples the productive capability of the other people by
destroying or separating them from their agricultural land, destroying
or confiscating their wells, preventing their industrial expansion,
and destroying their businesses; imprisons the leadership of the other
people and threatens to expel or assassinate that leadership; destroys
the security forces and the governing infrastructure of the other
people; destroys an entire population’s census records, land registry
records, and school records; vandalizes the cultural headquarters and
the houses of worship of the other people by urinating, defecating,
and drawing graffiti on cultural and religious artifacts and symbols
when one people does these things to another, a logical person can draw
only one conclusion: the powerful state is attempting to destroy the
other people, to push them into the sea, to ethnically cleanse them".

Nevertheless Palestine was not the first country suggested to become
a Zionist state which is clear evidence about the groundless Zionist
argument to legitimate their invasion to Palestine as a "Return". The
evidence that the "return" was invented afterwards lies in the fact
that Zionists proposed several countries to colonize such as Uganda
but rested at Palestine in the end. It is not possible that somebody
wants to return to his country would think first of 5 countries as
possible home countries. Modern states it must be noted was made by
the inter action between the place, the people, the language and the
history. It has never occurred in modern history that few people met at
a hotel or hall thousands mile from the country they plan to colonize
and no one of them know how it look like except in the Zionist case.

In Palestine for instance and prior to the arrivals of Zionists to
Palestine, the picture of Jews in the Palestinian mindset was generally
positive. The research I conducted in 1995 among elderly Palestinians
shows that their relation with local Jews prior to the Zionist arrival
was ordinary relations between people living on the same land, and this
generation knew little or nothing about Zionism as a racist ideology.

The only distinction they made when the Zionist project was obvious
to all was between "patriot Jews" who lived alongside Palestinians
without problems and oversees European Jews who arrived with the aim
to drive out Palestinians of their home.

The Zionist occupation is perhaps the most self centered occupation
in history. Even compared with classical colonial systems which
built railways, schools; hospitals in the occupied areas Zionists
did nothing more than to murder and steal Palestinian land.

Zionist did not contribute anything positive to the Palestinian
culture, nor to the Arab culture. They brought with them the culture
of hatred towards Europe and indirectly towards Christianity and
Islam later on.

They gathered the experience of torture from the places they came
from and applied it on Palestinians.

They brought the technique of putting explosives in public markets
and in hotels and even at orphanage as in Jaffa in 1948. They brought
the knowledge of torture and death on all levels, from kidnapping
to poison, to explosive letters ,to threatening prisoners to bring
their mothers or wives naked in front of them, or to black mail sick
Palestinians to work as spies in return for treating them which is very
sickening and disgusting beyond limits. All these devilish methods
sounded to the Palestinians of that period as methods brought from
persons who had arrived recently from the devil and not from persons
who had families and were capable to love other humans.

Compared with European settlements in North America Zionists are
further more violent. The Europeans immigrated to the new world
in the hope to improve their life; most of them knew nothing about
the Native Americans. The Europeans in the United States declared
independent after many generations of living there, and after fighting
Britain which was the defacto power there. They launched murderous
campaigns in order to get rid of the native folk there but this
has come within the context of their existence there, this is not
to excuse the atrocities but rather to explain in which context it
were committed. Zionist planned to murder and remove Palestinians
even before they knew Palestine or Palestinians and even before they
travel to the Middle East. After the massive Jewish "immigration"
to Palestine and the displacement of most Palestinians the number
of Zionist Jews born in Palestine among the 45 signatories on the so
called independent document was only one.

The immigrants European in the new world did make some treaties and
compromises with the natives even though most of these treaties were
in their favor. Zionists saw no point in compromise. The notion of
violence occupies their thinking and the Transfer was the word which
obsessed and still obsess Zionists.

Josef Weitz the architect of transfer made it even clearer: "There
is no room here for compromise.. There is no way but to Transfer the
Palestinian Arabs from here to the neighboring countries, to Transfer
them all"

They brought to the peaceful Palestine, products from the heart
of darkness of their ideology such as the Shabak, the Shin beit,
the Mossad which Palestinians view them as devilish organizations
equivalent to the Nazi Gestapo if not to excel it. They brought
atomic weapons and chemical and biological weapons which until today
is spreading poisonous pollution in the little but what was once a
pristine Palestine.

In this way, they did not fail to spot any multi cultural torturous
method to show their cruelty, brutality, and blood thirstiness. It
is not without reason that the term Jew, Israeli, Hebrew, Zionist
have become in the Palestinian collective memory not only the most
hateful words but synonymous to land theft, torture, death, merciless,
graveyards, and evil. I even met Palestinians in the refugee camps
of Syria and Lebanon and Jordan who think that the only profession
of a Jew is to murder and to steal land.

The David star has become a symbol of death and destruction identical
to the Nazi Swastika "Whenever I see the David star symbol, the
first thing I feel to do is to pull my pistol and shoot instantly",
a Palestinian politician once told me , and I believe that he reflects
the view of the vast majority of Palestinians who view the David star
emblem for their suffering .

The odd thing is that it came from persons who claim to be "holocaust
survivors!!! This really poses a serious question" How is it morally
possible for the so called holocaust survivors to be able to invent
such methods?" when they themselves say they have been tortured
near to death in Nazi jails? The most logic conclusion which is more
appropriate is that those are the holocaust beneficiaries disguised as
holocaust survivors’. Shulamit Aloni the previous Israeli minister
of education describes them as "following Mussolini’s way," and
"some soldiers behave like animals".

The culture which Palestinians were brought up in compared with the
culture of the Jewish ghettoes might explain the differences. European
Jews were brought up in closed ghettoes where the prime melting pot
was the doctrine of the chosen people which express a veiled superior
position and probably hatered towards the rest of the society.

Europe oppressed Jews for religious and economical reasons but the
enlightening period witnessed great European soul searching, a process
which produced modernity and the culture of equality and human rights
which Jews benefited from. The Jewish enlightment failed in breaking
with the culture of prejudice towards non Jews, in fact what Zionist
did was to envelop this prejudice in secular terms. In other words
Zionist Jews coped with modernity on a surface level, in order to
deceive the liberal Europeans for the sake of the Zionist agenda which
its fruits appeared in Palestine in the butchering of a whole nation.

On the other hand the Palestinian society has always been open, and
thusly capable of integrating various ethnic groups which flee from
their countries due to oppression such as the case of Armenians and
Chechanians and others. This naturally has helped in consolidating
the values of harmony in diversity which led to the culture of mutual
respect among Palestinians even in the pre modernity era. The evidence
that Palestine never had any form of religious conflict consolidates
my argument about the open nature of the Palestinian society.

Palestine contains all sorts of Christians, Catholic, Latin, Orthodox
,Anglican, and Maronite , and Muslims, Sunni, Shia and Druze and
even oriental Jewish sects. Zionists converted the country from an
open place, which could be a candidate of a platform for dialogue
among nations to a place where the language of racism is the dominant
language. No wonder that the state of Israel is the most condemned
state in the history of the Un. No wonder that the state of Israel
thinks its survival depends on poising the international relations
between the east and the west. The state of Israel is perhaps the
only state which does not host international conferences about human
rights or dialogues among cultures where non Zionist Palestine could
be more suitable to such meetings than any place in the world.

The only conference Israel arranges is the Hertezlia annual meetings
where they bring Jewish experts from all over the world to advice
the state of Israel on how to oppress Palestinians and how to avoid
the destiny of the apartheid regime in South Africa, and how to
poison the international relations. I think if there were no western
Christians who travel as pilgrims it is very doubtful that non Jews
would even think to visit the state of Israel. Even in tourism the
stamp of racism is apparent, a report published few years ago said
that tourists who travel to the state of Israel, find the Israelis
arrogant and unfriendly which tells something about Zionist worldview
and its attitudes towards non Jews.

The strangest thing is that despite all horrors they impose on
Palestinians Zionists complain that Palestinians hate them. As if
80 years of Zionist horror against Palestine were acts of love that
Palestinians should show gratitude for. This is perhaps the first
time in history a ruthless occupation caused enormous terror for
three generations, and then to complain that its victims hate them,
shows by far the level of arrogance.

In demanding this Zionists are aiming to change human nature: the
normal reaction which is universal that kindness begets kindness and
brutality would invoke aggression, under the Zionist interpretation
would be the complete opposite and so would follow the logic that Jews
must be the ones to celebrate Hitler’s birthday, and the Holocaust
memorial day is rather a day for not sorrful remembrance but rather
a day of gaiety ,for it is from this time in History which now allows
them this new day .

The reality is that the more Palestinians love their home country,
the more Palestinians loves their families, the more they hate the
Zionist occupants, who deprive them of living in peace in their home
country. Zionist are asking the impossible if they ever think that
Palestinians would forget, or forgive the occupiers for the atrocities
they have committed in the past 80 years.

The Nakba sentiments among Palestinians are the strongest sentiments
towards the Zionist horrors which drove Palestinians out of their
cities and villages. There is nothing that could generate among
Palestinians stronger feelings of anger, bitterness, and defiance
more than the Nakba sentiments.

The stories of the Zionist massacres have been told by the generation
who lived it and passed on to next generation where from it will
stay alive in the hearts and minds of Palestinians. This is what has
become the melting pot which unites Palestinians and consolidates their
solidarity towards restoring their rights. The massacre of Deir Yasin
is considered by Palestinians as a symbol for the Zionist terror of the
year 1948. In this peaceful village near Jerusalem terrorists of the
"holocaust survivors" went from house to house to murder children,
pregnant woman and old people indiscriminately. Shamefully, Menahem
Begin who was behind this massacre had found it necessary to the
establishment of the Zionist state ,and now has been granted a Nobel
prize ,for which many wonder if other mass murderers in history if
influential enough, might stand for the Nobel candidacy as well.

The role of Europe and the US in the slaughter of Palestinians has
undoubtly created hostile sentiments towards the western world which is
viewed by Palestinians and Arabs as speaking two languages, the human
right language in rhetoric and anti human right policy in Palestine.

The Palestinian reaction towards the Nakba is very strong that it
has become the most dominant factor in the collective Palestinian
consciousness.

This is widely reflected in the intellectual thinking of Edward Said
and in the Palestinian poesy of Mahmud Darwish, Samih Al Qasim and
Mueen Bseso and the literature of Ghassan Kanafani, Emil Habibi,
Samira Assam etc and in the folk songs of Abu Arab and Rim Al Banna
and Amal Murqus, and in films and TV Serious such as the "Tagreba
Al Falestiniyeh: the Palestinian exodus" which tells the story of
heroism of the Palestinian peasants in their attempt to defend their
homes and families and tell as well the journey of suffering which
Palestinians experienced under the exodus.

The dominant symbols of the Palestinian culture have become the
expressions which point towards restoring the Palestinian right such
as repatriation, the coming back to home, where Palestinians families
could meet in the evenings to tell each other happy stories as in
the old good days before the invasion of the "holocaust survivors"
terrorists.

The Nakba which became the biggest tragedy in Palestinian modern
history has been subjected to various explanations. The religious
trend often views it as a test from God for Palestinians who must
accordingly pass the exam through patience. The Pan Arab and the left
trends view it as a colonial plantation in the region which plays
a dogwatch role for the imperial powers ,a function Zionist Jews
begged Europe to accept in return to be their watch dog. Yet despite
the ideological differences between the left, religious and national
wings all agree to struggle against Zionism .The Zionist attempt to
equate the holocaust and the Nakba has failed because it convinced
nobody. The Nakba is the Zionist Jews responsibility in the first place
and the holocaust has nothing to do with Palestine and Palestinians.

Since its establishment like today, 61 years ago Israel sought to
obtain the impossible. They wanted the Jewish Ghettoes of Russia and
Poland to achieve self determination in the heart of the Middle East
while denying the same right of the natives of Palestine.

They wanted to achieve security by imposing fear and insecurity on
Palestinians. The Palestinian concept of security is to decide their
life and their future by themselves away from the Zionist terror
organizations which they brought from the European Ghettoes. The
Zionist concept of security means that Zionist Jews steal Palestinian
land, murder Palestinians and Palestinians must be thankful for them!

In this way Zionists wanted to change the universal value system
by demanding Palestinians to thank them for organizing campaigns of
displacement and death parties. They sought to convince the public
opinion that Palestinians who suffered Zionist atrocities are the
terrorists who attack the "little Israel". "The little Israel" it must
be repeated all time is capable to ruin most of the earth according
to experts. But the good news that after 61 years of Zionist success
in deceiving the western world of public opinion, the mountains of
deception are falling apart, which indicates that Zionism is fading
gradually and thusly the American report which gave the life expectancy
for the state of Israel at 30 years is not far from the truth.

Moreover, Zionists are facing new generations of determined
Palestinians who know very well the ugly face of Zionism.

Palestinian old generation was partly defeated because they knew
nothing about the devilish plans of the Zionist: they did not hate
Zionist Jews enough to fight them .They were mostly simple peasants
living in peace in their country without knowing anything about
the Zionist hateful ideology. As agriculture was the main source of
living for the majority of them, Palestinians were mostly engaged in
planting their fields following the seasonal technique ,and not aware
that they would be invaded by an ideology of which its literature
does not contain one single word about human love.

Palestinians were molded by the spiritual atmosphere of Palestine where
the prayers and the hymns were chanted in mosques and churches to thank
the creator for the precious life, and for the hope of a better life
for their families. European pilgrims and visitors to Palestine in
the 18th and 19th and 20th century emphasized this fact and described
Palestinians as generous people who welcome the strangers and offer
them help. The last thing Palestinians wanted was to fight any body.

Throughout history Palestinians developed unique closeness towards
Palestine as nature, as landscape and as people. Even when the
Canaanite boats used to leave Akka on the Palestinian coast on merchant
errands the sailors would be waiting impatiently to go back to their
city. The women of Akka would be waiting waving to the boats which
returned home safe after long travels. A woman might stand singing this
song, "you travel away and I know you will return back home". Because
they knew that whenever Palestinians traveled abroad they would long
to the day they come back home.

The Palestinian popular song "Wen A Ramallah "is a dialogue between
a Palestinian woman and her lover who was about to leave. She is
telling him that if he travels away from her and from his home he will
break her heart. Palestinians always think that all the homes are
beautiful but Palestine is the only home. Their love for Palestine
was in harmony with the Palestinian nature. At the springtime when
life comes back to earth, Palestinians celebrate this coming back
with spring flowers, birds, fish, perfumes, songs, gardens, trees,
lights, weddings and love .The shepherds would play on their flutes
lyrics and songs which praised life and love.

Palestinians ploughed the land from generation to generation, they
knew every household and wild plant and in the harvest season they
elaborated songs to thank God and to celebrate the harvest and to
create an atmosphere of closeness and solidarity. At the summer time
Palestinians used to bless the first fruit of the season. The family
would meet on that day to thank God for the first fruit.

The arrival of the Zionist forces of darkness to Palestine has
become the first source of wars and conflicts and instability: the
number of wars in Palestine in 500 years is much less in terms of
numbers and victims than the wars caused by the Zionist state in 60
years. No wonder that Palestinians view Zionist Jews worse than the
black plague which hit Palestine in the 17th .A Palestinian friend
visited Palestine first time after 25 years of living abroad wrote me
once saying: "Whenever I pass by an Israeli checkpoint I see how ugly
they are. I see them like a poisonous plant in a beautiful garden".

Since the establishment of the state of Israel the region has gone into
an armed race which resulted in the weakening of the baby democracy
which was in the region prior to the establishment of the Zionist
state. This indeed has opened a new chapter in history in which the
culture of militarization and violence has become a dominant factor in
the region. The international conflicts caused by the establishment of
the state of Israel have reached a level that endangers the existence
of humanity such as when the US and the Soviet union put their nuclear
arms on high alert in the 1937 wars.

The current Israeli agitation against Iran is threatening a major
war which could be catastrophic. The atomic emery was unthinkable in
the Middle East before Israel got the destructive atomic power which
threats the whole region and probably the world. The active Zionist
agitation against Arabs and Muslims in the west has undoubtedly
contributed in creating a less safe world .

At this moment in history Palestinian sentiments has reached a
climax. 61 years ago our parents and grandparents were pushed by
brutal force to leave their villages. They were walking through the
fields and the mountains with nothing except their clothes. They were
escaping from the murderers of the "holocaust survivors" who showed No
mercy. 61 years ago Palestine was wiped off the map by an international
terrorist organization which replaced the Palestinian olive trees the
symbol for peace and harmony with the culture of death and destruction.

Palestinians left behind their fields full of corn but they were
hungry, they left behind their wells full of water but they were
thirsty.

They were fleeing from a village to village and from city to city with
the hope to reach safer areas after the horrible stories they heard
about the Zionist death squads of the Hagana, Irun, and Lehi which
murder indiscriminately. They were carrying their babies in this exodus
and many of them died due to lack of food, medicine and health care.

Palestinians thought that it is a matter of two weeks and they will
be back home. The UN and the world would not accept this unjust they
thought. Even today, after 61 years of the Nakba, and after all the
horrors which Palestinians were subjected to, there are some who
put the butcher and the victim on same level. And today after 61
years of the Nakba the Zionist state denies them of returning back
to their homes. The Transfer took place while Europe and the Us were
supporting the Zionist war criminals butchering a whole nation and at
the same time signing in the sad year of 1948 the first declaration
of human rights.

Noyan Tapan
May 13, 2009

MADRID, MAY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian took
part in the 119th sitting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council
of Europe on May 12 in Madrid held within the framework of the events
of 60th anniversary of Council of Europe establishment. High-ranking
delegations of 47 Council of Europe member countries, 5 observer
countries and international organizations, chairmen of PACE and
European Court of Human Rights took part in the sitting of the
Committee of Ministers.

Prince of Spain Felipe gave a greeting speech at the sitting opening.

Issues regarding various spheres of Council of Europe activity were on
the agenda of sitting of the Committee of Ministers. The preparatory
activities of Council of Europe Secretary General’s elections and
interim methods of using the 14th protocol of European Convention
of Human Rights that would permit to raise efficiency of activity of
European Court of Human Rights were discussed at the sitting.

In his speech at the Committee of Ministers sitting E. Nalbandian
emphasized Council of Europe’s stable role in the issue of building
a peaceful continent. E. Nalbandian said that Artsakh people’s
concern to provide its security was the basis of the legal demand
of self-determination right, and Azerbaijan opposed force, ethnic
cleansings to it, then launched a large-scale aggression against
Karabakh by involving hirelings connected with terrorist groups.

Speaking about the negotiations process of conflict settlement,
E. Nalbandian said that in 2001 the sides were rather close to
settlement, but because of Azerbaijan’s non-constructive position and
its rejecting the reached agreements it was not fulfilled. Azerbaijan’s
non-constructive approach also had a continuation in 2007, in the form
of denying for months running even the existence of Madrid proposals
presented by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs.

Estimating as signs of progress in the peaceful process the meetings
of RA and Azeri Presidents, the declarations and statements adopted
in Moscow and Helsinki in 2008, E. Nalbandian expressed the hope that
if Azerbaijan’s leadership renounces its non-constructive approaches
and stops its bellicose and anti-Armenian agitation, the negotiations
proceeding within the framework of the Minsk Group can bring closer
sides’ positions and result in problem’s settlement.

At the meeting with Foreign Minister of Slovenia Samuel Zbogar held
the same day E. Nalbandian congratulated his counterpart on the
occasion of assuming Council of Europe chairmanship and expressed
readiness to provide assistance to the Slovenian chairmanship. Issues
regarding strengthening of bilateral relations, expansion of the
legal-contractual sphere, Council of Europe activity, and a number
of regional issues were discussed at the meeting. The EU Eastern
Partnership program was also touched upon at the meeting.

Ways of further expansion of bilateral relations were discussed
at the meeting of E. Nalbandian and Foreign Minister of Lithuania
Vygaudas Usackas.

They exchanged thoughts about the world financial-economic crisis
and mitigation of its consequences.

Bilateral and regional issues were discussed at the meeting with
Foreign Minister of Switzerland Micheline Calmy-Rey. They also touched
upon the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations.

Steps to be undertaken for the purpose of deepening Armenia-Portugal
bilateral relations were on the agenda of the meeting with
Secretary of State for European Affairs of Portugal Teresa
Ribeiro. The Ministers emphasized the necessity of expanding the
legal-contractual sphere. They also touched upon cooperation at
European and international organizations.

A detailed talk on further development of bilateral relations,
Nagorno Karabakh settlement took place at E. Nalbandian’s meeting
with Foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Balazs.

E. Nalbandian also met with Foreign Minister of Serbia Vuk
Jeremic. Issues related to development ways of bilateral relations,
organization of high-ranking visits were discussed at the meeting. The
Ministers also touched upon expansion of cooperation at international
organizations.

According to the RA Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department,
completing his visit to Madrid the RA Foreign Minister returned
to Armenia.
