You will be sold at the price you sell

YOU WILL BE SOLD AT THE PRICE YOU SELL

`Levon Ter-Petrosyan comes to sell Karabakh.’ `These ones sold
Karabakh for a long time ago.’ Almost every Armenian is familiar with
these accusations. Everyone knows that the present government and its
supporters are accusing Levon Ter-Petrosyan in an effort to hinder
his political success, while Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his supporters
are retorting to the present government. In fact, it is difficult to
tell whose words have a magic effect on voters, and who hits the
target. One thing is obvious that both parties perfectly hurt the
dignity of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. In other words,
no matter what the purpose of these statements is, whether they are
meant to hit the political opponent or are out of worry for the fate
of Karabakh, it is obvious that the pronouncements about selling
Karabakh are insult to the people of Karabakh. The people who are
living in Nagorno-Karabakh, facing Armenia and the Diaspora, waiting
how many millions will be raised in the recurrent telethon to solve
their problems but in reality they live in their villages without any
millions , working their land, hearing Azerbaijan’s threats of war
and thinking before going to bed every day it is good that Azerbaijan
threatens to wage a war, for it means that they are not selling
Karabakh, otherwise Azerbaijan would announce to buy Karabakh.

Painful though it may be, we have to confess that Nagorno-Karabakh
became the most vivid indicator of the misery of the Armenian
political thought. Meanwhile, the Karabakh movement seemed to spur
the modern Armenian political thought. It seemed that over years,
especially after the success of the movement, this thought would
generated more, and it would pass from Karabakh to the solution of
more global problems. The opposite occurred, instead of generation
the Armenian political though underwent deep degradation to the
degree that Karabakh is already perceived at a level goods and
materials, in other words, it is something that can be sold. When the
activists of the present or the former government, when the
representatives of the present and the former opposition say to sell
Karabakh, do they remember that people live in Karabakh. If they do
remember, how do they imagine this trade of which they accuse one
another? In addition, first of all those who say they won’t let sell
Karabakh insult as much and even more the people of Karabakh. Dear
friends, who are you to allow or not to allow selling Karabakh, would
ask every Karabakhi who lives in this country? Who are you to decide
to sell or not to sell Karabakh? If you are this who, dare say who
you take the people of Karabakh for that can be sold together with
their country, it is not important to whom, Azerbaijan, Russia,
America and the European Union.

Only God knows the ultimate line of human abilities. And perhaps not
always does God give these abilities as a gift. Sometimes these
abilities become God’s punishment. Only as a rule everything that is
divine is perceived with difficulty because the human millennial
civilization is lying heavily on the surface of water.

Yerevan, December 3 /Mediamax/. Government of the Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic (NKR) is reconsidering its credit policy.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the NKR government,
the Prime Minister of the republic Ara Harutiunian said this during
the meeting with the Heads of banks, functioning in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ara Harutiunian spoke for the necessity of wider attraction of banking
capital for the realization of mortgage crediting programs and programs
of small and medium enterprise crediting.

By means of attracting state and bank financial means, it is planned
to assist the population of the republic.

There was an agreement reached between the government and the banks
on realization of active mortgage crediting on preferential terms in
regional centers of NKR. The first three years, the borrowers will
pay only the interest, after which they will start repaying the main
sum. For purchasing or construction of dwellings, 12% annual interest
rate will be functioning, half of which will be paid by the state.

Mortgage credits will be provided for the term of 15-20 years.

The banks will offer acceptable conditions for crediting of small
and medium enterprises as well. Instead of the present 2-3 years,
the credits will be provided for the term of 5 years on a simplified
scheme.

NKR Prime Minister urged the bankers to actively cooperate with the
Investment Fund of NKR, by means of which the state will be realizing
all its credit programs.

Ancient Art Brought Up To Date

ANCIENT ART BROUGHT UP TO DATE
By Jean Christou

Cyprus Mail, Cyprus
Nov 12 2007

CHOOSING what workshop to attend at the Mind, Body, Spirit Exhibition
running this weekend can be daunting given the range of esoteric
topics on offer.

However, the Enneagram workshop, run by Danish couple Jack and Helene
Makani, won out at that particular moment over regression therapy,
spiritual DNA and pranic healing, simply by I was curious to learn
more about it.

The Enneagram is not a new concept. As with most esoteric and such
techniques, it is an ancient art brought up to date.

There are many so-called shortcuts to personal development but these
are generally superficial and short-lived.

It’s easy to reach cloud nine and love life in the right circumstances
with the right method but the first sign of trouble can quickly drag
people back into old reactionary behaviour patterns.

Changing these patterns permanently requires time, self-observation
and hard work.

"The Enneagram is a marvellous model to hold up in front of ourselves
and take a look," said Jack. "It explains a lot of our behaviour
and beliefs."

Opinions on the origins of the Enneagram are varied, but in general
early 20th century Greek-Armenian philosopher and teacher George
Gurdjieff is credited with developing it.

He said it was an ancient model and probably Sufi. Others dispute this,
but in any case, even since Gurdjieff’s time it has been modernised
and updated.

"It describes nine personality types, but not superficially. It’s much
more in-depth. It shows nine very different views on the world," said
Helene, who is what is known as a Type 4, while Jack is a Type 5. "I
started to recognise some things in myself," Helene added. "It gives a
deeper understanding about why you are doing the things you’re doing."

Knowing your behaviour patterns allows you to change them, and also
helps in how you then communicate with others. "We develop a false
self, which is a distortion of our true selves," Helene said. "The
Enneagram finds the key to what is behind all these patterns."

But unlike numerology, which assigns people a number and a general
personality type through using their birth name, Enneagram personality
types are calculated after a thorough questioning, conducted by
trained people such as Jack and Helene.

There are many Enneagram tests available online, but Helene said
they were not 100 per cent accurate. The Danish couple runs the tests
through their Cyprus-based centre, The Makani Academy.

Shaped like a nine-pointed star, the Enneagramm shows how you are
influenced by the other eight types, through the use of connecting
lines.

For instance if you are a Type 3, the Achiever, the line inside the
circle links you to Type 6, the Sceptic when you are at your most
negative, and in the other direction to Type 9, the Mediator, when
you’re feeling positive.

People are also influenced from the character types on either side
of them on the chart.

What the Makanis do is help you work out what your type is and how
to use the knowledge to improve your relationship with yourself and
with others through self-observance.

The nine personality types 1. Reformer (perfectionist) 2. Helper (likes
being liked) 3. Achiever (motivation and goals) 4. Individualist
(seeks acceptance through being different) 5. Observer (focused
inwardly and private) 6. Sceptic (constant doubters) 7. Epicure (seeks
fun and happiness) 8. Boss (dominating and in control) 9. Mediator
(seeking inner and outer harmony)

More information on the Makani Academy can be found on
or Tel: 96589709. The Mind, Body Spirit exhibition continues all day
today at the Hilton Park in Nicosia.

Hrant Dink’s Children Abandon Turkey

HRANT DINK’S CHILDREN ABANDON TURKEY

PanARMENIAN.Net

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Arat Dink, the son of slain Agos editor Hrant Dink,
and his family abandoned Turkey and settled in Brussels, Inge Drost,
a Spokesperson for the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the
Netherlands, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Hrant Dink’s daughter
domiciled at Hague last year, she said.

Turkish media says Arat Dink left Turkey because ‘he and his family
were in jeopardy’.

In October Arat Dink stood trial under article 301 for re-publishing
his father’s interview where he spoke about the Armenian Genocide,
what is rated as "insulting Turkishness".
