Brazil’s Confederations Cup victory has catapulted them back to the
top of the Fifa world rankings for the first time since August 2007.

The Selecao jumped from fifth knocking the European champions Spain
down to second.

The Netherlands drop to third ahead of Italy and Germany. Guus
Hiddink’s Russia rose to sixth followed by England, Argentina and
France.

The United States, who reached the final in South Africa by beating
the Spanish, are up two spots to twelfth.

The UAE have kept their position at a disappointing 122nd and now
sit jointly with Jordan and Armenia.

The rankings are based on performances over the last four years.

This week, Raymundo gives us all we need to look for at Don King’s
‘Summer Sizzler’ show in Florida on July 11…

The Raging Bull is no stranger to higher weights The 118 pound class
just inherited a boxer with the vernacular of a Heavyweight.

While most of boxing’s attention is directed toward the welterweight
division, there is a man who talks with a swift tongue and borders
on the level of a fighter who once beckoned, "I want to eat your
children".

"Your going to feel like someone’s hitting you with a hammer."

"I’ve seen Agbeko’s fights and they don’t impress me. You will see,
nothing compares to my power. I will knock him out with my power. I
can open my jaw and let him punch it and he still won’t hurt me."

That was just a speck of what came out of the mouth of this little man
with a small frame with the nickname "Raging Bull" whose is anything
but short on trash talk and banter that he throws at his opponents
before every contest.

Armenian Vic Darchinyan has been hailed as the flyweight mini-Tyson,
and his words have thus far been backed up by his fists, as the WBA,
WBC & IBF 115 pound champion continues to move up in weight and in
pound for pound polls.

Darchinyan, (32-1, 26 KO’s) faces Joseph "King Kong" Agbeko on July
11 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida as the main event
of the Don King hosted card "Summer Sizzler", which will be aired by
network Showtime.

Darchinyan challenges Agbeko for his IBF bantamweight title, and
took time out Tuesday for a media conference call that showcased his
classic banter of opponents.

"I’m going to knock you out. You are going to feel my power badly,"
Darchinyan said directly to Agbeko during the call.

This writer has attended Darchinyan’s last two bouts, both bouts in
which I picked the other man to win. This time, I believe I’ll go
with Darchinyan, especially if its true that he says he’s hitting
five times harder than he was in his last fight.

Agbeko, (26-1, 22KO’s) knew better than anyone what he should expect in
the weeks leading up to the fight, and even attempted some return fire.

"You can punch. I’m ready for your punch. After this fight, your
always going to be scared in the ring."

"I’m going to do to you what Azumah Nelson did to Jeff Fenech
in Australia," said Agbeko, noting to his fellow Ghanian Nelson’s
stunning upset in 1992 by way of TKO in the eighth round."

"King Kong" has some validated confidence heading into next Saturday’s
nationally televised fight. This will be the third defense of his IBF
title and his only loss was highly disputed and even Darchniyan took
time to address his loss, stating that he felt Agbeko was robbed,
but that he’ll personally hand the African his first loss.

During the phone conference, the trash talk was egged on by Don King
Productions’ Alan Hopper and Gary Shaw, Darchinyan’s promoter, had
more than a mouthful to say.

"Vic’s been eating up Mexican’s lately, and he asked me for a change
of diet. So I got him an African," said Shaw, who heads his own Gary
Shaw Promotions.

"I believe I represent probably a fighter who will go down as one
of the greatest boxers to ever fight in the lower weights in the
history of boxing. Please tell all the poachers out there that Vic
and I are bound together for life. I want everyone who’s on this call
to hear that."

Shaw also stated that if WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley still
hasn’t found an opponent after July 11, that he’ll pit Darchinyan
against Mosley. Darchinyan has made it known he is seeking to keep
moving up in weight, and even stated that his walking around weight
is 142.

Could we see a ‘Pacquiao’ like ascension from Darchinyan? The Armenian
is only three years older than Pacquaio at 33, and started his career
seven pounds heavier than Pacquaio at 114. Pacquaio used 2008 to fight
in three different divisions, and now sits on top of the boxing world
as the most sought after opponent in the welterweight division.

Will there be a Darchinyan v. Mosley, or even Darchinyan v. Pacquiao
in the future? Only time will tell.

As for now, Darhinyan is looking to be successful in the bantamweight
division on Saturday, July, in a fight is a scheduled twelve rounds
for Agbeko’s IBF bantamweight title.

Who will it be? King Kong or the Raging Bull?

VICAR NICKED OVER 180 FAKE WEDDINGS

A VICAR was under arrest last night as cops grilled him over 180 SHAM
marriages – staged so illegal immigrants can stay here.

Rev Alex Brown, 61, was held in a dawn swoop on his rectory that
shocked his seaside parishioners.

The dramatic raid followed an 18-month probe into an alleged scam
in which Eastern Europeans and other foreigners were able to claim
residency by tying the knot.

Immigration officials had suspended applications from anyone getting
married at the C of E vicar’s St Peter and St Paul Church more than
a year ago.

one elderly member of his flock in St Leonards, East Sussex, said:
"I am stunned.

"I have known the vicar for 18 years and he is a wonderful priest. He
was so caring to me when I lost my husband and he goes out of his
way to look after alcoholics and drug addicts. If he has thrown away
his long, loyal service to the Church to do something so stupid I’ll
be devastated."

The vicar has given sermons in the town – next to Hastings – for more
than 20 years. The raid on his rectory was one of four staged by more
than 35 police and officers from the UK Border Agency.

Rev Brown – due to retire next month – is being held on suspicion of

been arranged at the church totalled "nearly 180".

Chichester Diocese said it had suspended the vicar.

The Bishop of Lewes was described as having heard of the arrest
"with great sadness".

The European Judo Junior Championship finished in the city of Koper,
Slovenia on June 28. David Ghazarian (60 kg, Vanadzor) performed best
of all from the 7 delegates of Armenia. He took the third place and
was awarded a bronze medal.

FRANCE DOES NOT CEASE ITS EFFORTS FOR PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT OF NKR CONFLICT

does not cease efforts aimed at assisting Armenia and Azerbaijan
to achieve peaceful, fair and durable settlement of NKR conflict,
French MFA official representative’s statement says.

"On June 26 in Paris, on the initiative of mediator states, RA and
Azeri Foreign Ministers, Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mamedyarov held
negotiations. First, each of Ministers met mediators to have detail
and constructive negotiations. Later, they held a meeting attended by
mediators, and discussed improvement achieved during the last summit
conference between RA and Azeri Presidents Sargsyan and Aliev, held
in the beginning of June in St. Petersburg and the possibility to
continue improvement into the future.

Success achieved in St. Petersburg was consolidated and spheres that
could yield positive results were defined during negotiations. MG
OSCE Co-Chairs made new offers to achieve compromise. In this context,
mediators resolved to organize a visit to Baku, Yerevan and NKR in the
beginning of next month to prepare presidential meeting in Moscow,"
the statement concluded.

SUPERJET 100 TO BE TESTED IN ARMENIAN HIGHLANDS

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armavia national carrier will buy Superjet 100 and
test it in highlands and elevated temperatures.

Russia presented its new Superjet 100 passenger airliner at Le Bourget
2009 air show, which was held on June 15-21, which marks 100 years
of technological innovation in aeronautics and space conquest, will
be the first chance for most aviation enthusiasts to get a look at
the new plane.

Superjet 100 was the only really new aircraft displayed at the
show. It is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by
Russia’s Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company in cooperation with U.S. and
European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales,
Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.

The first Superjet 100 aircraft has already made several long-distance
and 40 short-distance test flights, clocking over 100 flight hours. A
total of four planes will take part in the Russian certification
program, which should be completed in the third quarter of 2009.

International certification is expected by mid-2010.

Sukhoi, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), plans to
manufacture at least 700 Superjet 100s, and intends to sell 35% of
them to North America, 25% to Europe, 10% to Latin America, and 7%
to Russia and China.

The company earlier said it had about 100 solid orders for the Superjet
100 so far and planned to sign a new deal during the Le Bourget air
show for 20 additional planes, worth an estimated $600 million.

the ‘Great Eight’ in Trieste, Italy, its participants made a joint
statement hailing the Armenian-Turkish dialogue. They also expressed
commitment for peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

As the Italian Foreign Ministry’s official site reported, the
statement said, in particular: ‘We expressed our commitment for
achieving regional stabilization. We state our support to efforts
carried out to that effect with the active involvement of the UN,
the OSCE and the EU. We encourage all actors in the region to work
towards the peaceful settlement of unresolved conflicts and to support
humanitarian aid programs. We strongly encourage the development of
regional cooperation. In this framework, we welcome the efforts of
Armenia and Turkey to normalise their relations and the efforts of
the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to seek a peaceful resolution of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Caucasus region has the potential to
become an area of peace and prosperity for all populations’.

NEW CASES OF ARMENIAN HISTORY FALSIFICATION DISCOVERED IN UKRAINE

in Ukraine, especially as far as the Biographies of Ukraine Armenians
are concerned. Thus, according to Ukraine’s National Reporters Union
member Samvel Azizyan, the seascape painter’s name was Gayvazovskiy,
and not Ayvazovski at all. "According to the painter’s earlier
biographers, his father and siblings lived nearby Lvov. Ayvazovski left
them, having quarreled over their father’s inheritance. Upon becoming
a painter, Ayvazovski portrayed not only the Ukrainian sea, but also
Ukrainian landscapes and mountains. The painter designed his Crimean
estate of Shakh Mamai so it would remind him of Ukrainian hamlets,
so dear to his heart."

According to David Davtyan , ANALITIKA.at.ua Informational and
Analytical Agency expert, the author, possibly, has no idea,
which period he was describing, as at that period the Ukrainian
nation was struggling for its right to freedom of speech and
expression. Ayvazovski lived among Armenians and was surrounded by
Armenian realities.

The biography goes on like this: "Ayvazovski was a great patriot of
Feodosia. Thanks to his efforts, the city was provided with water
supply system and opened a museum of paintings and artifacts. Strange
as it is, the painter created very true-to life portrayals of Ararat
though he’d never been to Armenia and never saw the mountain. But his
heart was always in the country of his ancestors, and he was creating
with all of his thoughts about Armenia."

"All through his preposterous article the author said no word about
Armenian soul of the artist, his Armenian spirit and attachment to
Armenian nation, reflected in his works. It’s rather shameful that
such articles exist just because of an attempt to please someone,
to the detriment of the truth," Davtyan emphasized.

PRESIDENT OF GEORGIA GOING TO TURN BATUMI INTO NEW BARCELONA

The Georgian president called Batumi a very important town not

U.S. Embassy Celebrates Fourth Anniversary, New Location of the
Yerevan American Corner On April 14, the U.S. Embassy marked the
re-opening of the Yerevan American Corner at the City Central
Library’s new location by the Republic Square Metro Station. The
inauguration also marks the Corner’s fourth year of operations in
Yerevan. In her remarks, Ambassador Marie L. Yovanovitch said, "The
United States has a longstanding commitment to spreading the ideas
and values of American democracy, and to engaging and maintaining an
open dialogue with people throughout the world." American Corners are
small American-style libraries that provide information about America
in a variety of formats, including reference books, works of fiction,
journals, and videos. The Corners also provide computers with Internet
access, and offer a variety of public programs including speakers and
workshops. The American Corners are open to the general public and
access is free of charge. A network of over 400 American Corners is
operating globally through partnerships between the U.S. Department
of State and local host organizations. The American Corner program
officially began in Armenia in April 2005 when the U.S. Embassy
inaugurated the first Corner in Yerevan. Over the past four years,
over 35,000 people have visited the corner. Additional Corners are
located in Gyumri, Vanadzor and Kapan.
