Why The Human Race Is Growing Apart

WHY THE HUMAN RACE IS GROWING APART

Races have evolved away from each other over the past 10,000 years,
according to new research that challenges standard ideas about the
biological significance of ethnicity.

A genetic analysis of human evolution has shown that rather
than slowing to a standstill it has speeded up, with different
pressures on different populations pushing racial groups further
apart. Scientists behind the findings suggest that European, African
and Asian populations grew genetically more distinct from each other
over several thousand years, as their environments took them down
different evolutionary paths.

This would call into question the popular scientific view that race
has little or no biological meaning, as the genetic similarities
between ethnic groups greatly outweigh differences.

While this remains true – all humans share more than 99 per cent of
their DNA – the new work indicates that variations tend to differ
between races, and that these became more, not less, pronounced.

"Human races are evolving away from each other," said Henry Harpending,
Professor of Anthropology at the University of Utah, who led the study.

"Genes are evolving fast in Europe, Asia and Africa, but almost all
of these are unique to their continent of origin. We are getting less
alike, not merging into a single, mixed humanity.

"Our study denies the widely held assumption that modern humans
appeared 40,000 years ago, have not changed since and that we are
all pretty much the same. We aren’t the same as people even 1,000 or
2,000 years ago."

The research is published in the journal Proceedings of the National
Academy of Sciences. If the trend towards increasing genetic diversity
were to continue, it could lead ultimately to the development of
different species.

Most scientists, however, think this is now highly unlikely.

The research identified evolutionary currents only in past times. In
the modern era, greater movement and gene flow between the continents
has probably slowed or even reversed patterns of increasing genetic
difference, making the evolution of separate human species virtually
impossible.

Armand Leroi, Reader in Evolutionary Biology at Imperial College,
London, said: "In principle, this could have led to speciation
if it had continued. In practice, it has got to be the case that
that cannot happen now. The reason is that this study has looked
at largely separated populations in the past, but everything about
human history since the Industrial Revolution weighs overwhelmingly
against separation and thus against speciation too. Huge increases
in gene flow are going to wipe this trend out."

The study shows that over the past 5,000 years, new genetic variants
have been emerging at a rate 100 times faster than in any other period
of human evolution.

If this rate were to have remained the same since humans and
chimpanzees diverged around six million years ago, the genetic
difference between the two species would be 160 times greater than
it is.

The scientists said this reflected the great increase in human
populations over that period, which has allowed more beneficial
mutations to emerge.

Changes in the human environment, particularly the rise of agriculture,
also created new selective pressure to which humans adapted.

Tribes and traits

— The research compared genetic information from four modern ethnic
groups – Japanese, Han Chinese, Yoruba Nigerians and Utah Mormons of
northern European ancestry

— Examples of traits that differ among the groups include the lactase
gene, which allows people to digest milk into adulthood

— Most Europeans have this gene but it is absent in most Africans
and Asians. This may reflect the ancestral importance of dairy farming
in Europe

— Disease-resistance genes also differ. About 10 per cent of Europeans
have CCR5, which confers some resistance to HIV, and which may have
evolved to give resistance to smallpox

— Previous research by Professor Harpending has suggested that the
above-average intelligence found among Ashkenazi Jews could be the
result of selection in medieval Europe, where they tended to work in
trade and finance. This, however, has been criticised by scientists.

I do not understand the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, who promises
the release of imprisoned reporters, gathering their relatives in her
house, the head of the center of political innovations and technologies
Mubariz Ahmedoglu announced at today’s press conference on the November
political summary.

He noted that the decision on this issue can only be made by the
President of Azerbaijan.

"What will the US Ambassador do, if the President of Azerbaijan does
not issue resolution on pardoning of the detained reporters? The
Azerbaijani President have never passed such a resolution upon the
demand from the West. I think if the western countries really want
the release of reporters, they should not make abrupt statements
and demand immediate measures from the Azerbaijani government",
the political scientist considers.

At the same time, he noted that Azerbaijan had openly ignored
the opinion of the west and each time when western countries made
statements regarding detained reporters in Azerbaijan, a new reporter
was imprisoned.

"It can be a sign for Armenians that if our country decides to
initiate war, it will not listen to the Western countries. Armenians
currenly hope that the western countries, making large investmnets
in Azerbaijan will prevent its government from initiating hostilies
in order to release its occupied lands", M.Ahmedoglu said.

EU To Assist Armenia In Holding Elections In Line With International

EU TO ASSIST ARMENIA IN HOLDING ELECTIONS IN LINE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

PanARMENIAN.Net
11.12.2007 14:30 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On a working visit to Brussels, RA Prime Minister
Serzh Sargsyan met with European Union Council Secretary General and
High Representative for the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy
Javier Solana.

Welcoming the Armenian Prime Minister to Brussels, Mr Solana mentioned
that the visit came at the right time as presidential elections were
awaiting Armenia. He said that more than once he happened to discuss
questions relating to the development of EU-Armenia cooperation with
the President of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Solana made a point
of holding the upcoming presidential elections in line with the
international standards. Emphasizing the need of having a delegation
from the OSCE/ODIHR to attend these elections, he asked the Prime
Minister about the ongoing electoral processes in Armenia.

The RA Prime Minister conveyed President Robert Kocharian’s greetings
to Mr Solana. Noting that he had so far been responsible for national
security and defense affaires within the government of Armenia, Serzh
Sargsyan said that by taking a premiership glance at the EU-Armenia
Action Plan in the wake of his appointment to the post of Prime
Minister, he got added evidence that the logic of the program was
matching that of our country’s development in respect of both internal
and external policies. Serzh Sargsyan stressed that elections as part
of the democratic process were among the key challenges facing Armenia.

"We want to hold good elections so as they may be estimated as such by
foreign and native observers," the Prime Minister said. He mentioned
that the parliamentary elections of last May were given a favorable
assessment and, therefore, Armenia was interested in improving on
this achievement during the presidential elections. Among the major
problems faced by our country, Mr Sargsyan mentioned the settlement
of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the normalization of relations with
Turkey, the implementation of second-generation reforms. Armenia is
experiencing a number of serious problems that can be resolved only
by a candidate elected through internationally recognized elections.

Concurrent with the Prime Minister of Armenia as to the importance of
the forthcoming elections, Mr Solana expressed hope that they will meet
the international standards and offered the assistance of the European
Union in this matter, the RA government’s press office reported.

What chances the candidates have

WHAT CHANCES THE CANDIDATES HAVE

Or, how the electorate will orient itself

December 6 marked the end of the nomination of the candidates for
presidency. Although the general number of the pretenders who
participated in the 2003 presidential elections remained unchanged,
the list of the candidates relying on the votes of the pro-Opposition
electorate has become fractioned, `split’ and divergent.
Among the nominated candidates, i.e. Prime Minister Serge
Sargsyan, former NA Speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan, NA Vice Speakere
Vahan Hovhannisyan, former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, former
Prime Minister Vazgen Manoukyan, former Mayor of the town of Yerevan
Artashes Geghamyan, former Advisor to the NKR President Arman
Melikyan, as well as Aram Haroutyunyan and Tigran Karapetyan, there
are two of people (the last two of them) who haven’t held public
posts up to date.
However, strange as it is, these two candidates are going to be
the `statists’ of the upcoming electoral campaign. It’s clear that
they have advanced their candidacies purely with the purpose of
having an arena to introduce their viewpoints, so they will be unable
to stand in serious rivalry the former and present-day officials.
Perhaps with the exception of Arman Melikyan who will hardly
manage to receive a serious number of votes; as to the rest of the
candidates, the people know them perfectly well as former and
present-day officials, former and present-day candidates of
presidency or at least leaders of parties elected to the National
Assembly.
Let’s try to conduct a more thorough study of the chances of each
of them, based not on the sympathy for or antipathy to this or that
candidate, but rather, on the results of the polls conducted in
Armenia by a number of competent centers, especially `Gelup’, as well
as on the maximum chances of each of the candidates for opening `a
second breath’ in the final stage of the elections.
To begin with, the fact of being recognized by society implies the
existence of both a clear-cut sympathy and an equally clear-cut
antipathy. The votes of those who occupy an intermediate position
between these two and who are still hesitant and have not oriented
themselves, will naturally disperse to third candidates in case of
the existence of the rivals known to public. And it is in this
respect that the current campaign will fundamentally differ from the
1998 and 2003 elections.
The thing is that there was a protestant electorate consisting of
about half a million people who definitely voted against the
pro-Government candidate and were mainly guided by the subconscious
motive of returning to the Soviet past embodied in the image of Karen
Demirtchyan and his son. Now, this protestant electorate has not only
decreased in number but has also been deprived of the opportunity of
looking `in one direction’. And this means that there has emerged a
vast asymmetry between the pro-Government and the pro-Opposition
electorates in terms of being consolidated.
Therefore, even if we assume for a moment that there exists the
above-mentioned electorate consisting of half a million people (which
will be a great exaggeration), we can, nonetheless, confidently
conclude that it will be unable to focus on any pro-Opposition
candidate on February 19. The reason is obvious: none of the
nominated candidates definitely embodies the `blissful past’ and, at
the same time, none of them has great chances for consolidating the
votes of the pro-Opposition electorate.
a) Arthur Baghdasaryan: his electorate includes the members of
`Rule of Law’ party, around 80 thousand in number, as well as the
army of the sympathizers who, during all the parliamentary elections,
would attract part of the pro-Opposition electorate, as well as the
socially vulnerable, the disabled, the elderly and especially the
blind.
b) Artashes Geghamyan: his electorate is small, though these are
people who will definitely vote in his favor. During the previous
parliamentary elections he did not cross the 5 per cent borderline
for a very simple reason: A. Geghamyan had ceased to play his
characteristic role of `savior’ and was trying to assume the image of
a person with an alien `ideology’, citing the world-famous
philosophers and statesmen’s ideas, which sounded inconceivable and
complicated to the voter. Therefore, in case of assuming the `old
role’, the leader of `National Unity’ may receive some part of the
votes of the electorate.
c) Vahan Hovhannisyan: his potential electorate is well-known too.
These are the intellectuals sympathizing with the ARFD, as well as
some part of the war-veterans and civil servant, i.e. the votes
received by ARFD during the past parliamentary elections.
d) Vazgen Manoukyan: he may receive votes from the part of the
voters, mainly intellectuals, who categorically oppose the
present-day authorities. They, however, are not consolidated and are
few in number.
e) Tigran Karapetyan: this candidate will attract the electorate
consisting of the elderly people for whom ALM TV Channel is the main
source of entertainment and information.
f) Levon Ter-Petrosyan: his electorate will consist of the voters
who held offices or posts under the former authorities, as well as
the intellectuals having ties with the Armenian pan-National Movement
and some of the members of the political parties supporting him.
We emphasize the last factor on purpose, since the fact that the
People’s Party of Armenia and its leader Stepan Demitchyan are
represented in Mr. Ter-Petrosyan’s camp guarantees no support by the
so-called `pro-Demirtchyan electorate’, who detached themselves from
Stepan Demirtchyan during the past parliamentary elections.
Consisting mainly of elderly people, this protestant electorate grew
like a snowball and swelled in 1998, expressing its protest against
the policy implemented under the rule of Mr. Ter-Petrosyan. So, it
can vote in favor of anyone, except L. Ter-Petrosyan, as the majority
of the representatives of the old generation became impoverished
during the years when this person was in power.
In fact, the pro-Opposition electorate became split and fractioned
to such an extent that Serge Sargsyan, the pro-Governmental candidate
may win on February 19, 2008, even if his electorate is limited to
those who voted in favor of the Republican Party and `Prosperous
Armenia’ during the parliamentary elections held on May 12, 2007.
While, as shown many a time by the results of the social polls,
the Prime Minister’s rating exceeds the percentage of the votes
received by the RPA, his party.

An art exhibition, the opening of a renovated legal library, and a
human rights discussion are among the activities the OSCE Office in
Yerevan is supporting to mark International Human Rights Day on 10
December.

The exhibition of handicrafts by imprisoned Armenian women and
juveniles is the result of a six-month project at the Abovian
institution, which offered wood-carving courses for incarcerated women
and juveniles.

`The courses helped prepare prisoners for some of the challenges they
will face in their future,’ said Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, Head of the
OSCE Office.

The cultural non-governmental organization Trtu offered the course with
the support of the Armenian Justice Ministry and the OSCE Office in
Yerevan. The exhibition will be open to the public from 7 to 17
December.

The Office also supported the re-opening of the renovated library of
the Chamber of Advocates on 6 December, which contains books and other
printed materials from the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions
and Human Rights and other sources. The library targets legal
specialists, advocates and public defenders.

`I do believe the library will be a useful tool upgrading skills of
lawyers, raising efficiency of their daily work, which in its turn will
contribute to the overall system of protection of human rights and
fundamental freedoms, the importance of which can never be
overestimated,’ added Ambassador Sergey Kapinos.

In addition, the Office together with the Armenian Ombudsman
Institution plans to organize a discussion on 10 December to assess
activities in the field of protection and promotion of human rights in
the country. Representatives of governmental, non-governmental and
international organizations as well as human rights activists are
invited to take part.

On 11 December, a ceremony will be held to mark the laying of the
foundation of a new human rights school in Vanadzor, Lori province and
the start of a fund-raising campaign for the school. The Armenian
Constitutional Right Protection Centre NGO will operate the school.
Local authorities and the United Nations Department for Public
Information will also participate in the event.

YEREVAN (YERKIR) – The Bulgarian church synod has sent a letter of
condolence to Armenian Catholicos Garegin II over the Armenian genocide
of 1915, Armenian Foreign Ministry has reported. For the first time,
the synod characterizes the events as "genocide."

suffered a lot from the Ottoman Empire for centuries, indicating that
the two Christian nations have the same fate.

About 700,000 ethnic Armenians reside in Bulgaria.

SPECIAL FOREIGN SERVICES PLACE CONCEALED ESPIONAGE VIRUS-PROGRAMS IN COMPUTERS OF INTERNET AND E-MAIL ARMENIAN USERS, RA NATIONAL SECURITY SERVICE STATES

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. RA and NKR citizens and organizations
using Internet, in particular, E-mail, receive different kinds of
electronic letters lately, which often remind of offers of simple
and ordinary contacts or "espionage message." Many people read them
and continue carelessly using electronic mail’s services and do not
suppose that their unknown addressee without permission receives
information being in their system.

According to the report of the RA National Security Service, various
kinds of computer viruses can penetrate into a computer through
these "unexpected" letters, for instance, the concealed espionage
virus-program named Perfect Key Logger. Therefore, when opening a text
file, a concealed program is automatically placed in the computer,
which by the Internet network, with certain frequency readdresses
all kinds of codes of the computer, as well as the whole information
of monitor’s display to the address of the respective E-mail, as a
result of which the subject becomes an open source of information.

The report mentioned that the E-mail addresses where the
whole information goes were disclosed as a result of the events
carried out by the RA National Security Service, [email protected],
[email protected], [email protected] and others. According
to the National Security Service, the analysis of materials received
gives a ground to suppose that the above mentioned actions are carried
out by special foreign services and these traces lead to Azerbaijan.

Therefore, the RA National Security Service considers its duty to warn
persons using Internet, E-mail to be more careful, to observe the rules
of using anti-virus programs, which will exclude the possibility of
using subjects using E-mail as source of information.

Yerevan expected arrival of high rank guest impatiently. The fact
that official Yerevan regards democratization process of society,
development of democratic institutes of Armenia as gradually
developing, expecting only praise on the part of person of such rank,
explains it. Armenians also expected deviation of Terry Davis from
principal position on the Upper Garabagh.

They expected but were mistaken. Terry Davis once again stated that
international community recognizes the Upper Garabagh territory under
occupation as a part of Azerbaijan, and it doesn’t recognize the
so-called "presidential elections" there. Terry Davis also reminded
Armenian politicians who draw parallels between English colonies that
gained independence and Garabagh, that "Garabagh is not colony, it is
a part of Azerbaijan", having added that the history of his country
knows just "one exception – North Ireland which was not allowed to
come apart from the United Kingdom". High rank guest didn’t recognize
municipality elections held in October 2007 in unrecognized "Upper
Garabagh Republic", explaining that Council of Europe is not obliged
to comment all events, for example, "parade of sexual minorities held
in some European countries".

"It is OSCE Minsk Group that deals with the Upper Garabagh problem,
Council of Europe doesn’t directly deal with this issue. Moreover,
there are many obstacles relating to this problem. So many elections
are held in the region that it is difficult to regulate the conflict.

Relatively positive results achieved in the course of elections in
Armenia may be positive for solving this issue", declared Secretary
General of the Council of Europe and again condemned elections held in
self-recognized "Upper Garabagh Republic": "World community doesn’t
recognize the Upper Garabagh, it is not a separate country, election
held there are not recognized and won’t be recognized".

Apparently, Armenians decided to take Council of Europe this way
otherwise how their attacks against Secretary General of Council of
Europe made at press conference in Yerevan can be explained: "Terry
Davis shows serious personal interest in Azerbaijani oil that is why
he makes such statement in Armenia…".

Leader of separatists of Garabagh is of the same opinion: "Statements
of Terry Davis do not comply with interests of Armenians". As if
deeds of present Armenian authorities, dictates and expression of any
kind of dissent, policy pursued by high rank relating to electorate,
comply with interests of Armenians. Perhaps regional economic isolation
to which leaders of Armenia and maybe the only enemies of Armenian
nation, dashnaks, pushed their country, comply with the interest
of this nation. Recently Prime Minister of Armenia, Serj Sarkisyan,
made known position of Armenian party on regulation Garabagh problem:
right of people of Nagorni Garabagh to self-determination should be
recognized internationally, and all conditions should be provided
for realization of this right. Armenia and "Upper Garabagh Republic"
should have common frontier and security of people and frontiers of
"Upper Garabagh Republic" should be. Mr. Serj Sarkisyan, making known
position of Armenian party forgot to clarify one detail – what does
he mean under the notion "people of the Upper Garabagh"? You will say
that it is clear. It is clear but it is not lawful if Serj Sarkisyan
appeals to such notions.

And what can we do with the rights of Azerbaijanis ousted from
their historical motherland, which belonged to their ancestors
for centuries. For some reasons this fact is not taken into
consideration. Accordingly to leader of separatists from "Upper
Garabagh Republic", Bako Saakyan, development of economy in
self-recognized "republic" will enable to achieve international
recognition: "We understand very well that economically developed
country with efficient governing system and strong army, will have
more chances to be presented before civilized world in a worthy way".

However development of what economy is told is a riddle though he
indicated agricultural sector as key factor. Yes, they are second to
none in production of mulberry vodka and its usage.

Making speech at gala night in Los Angeles, organized by all-Armenian
Fund "Ayastan". Bako Saakyan, said that the Upper Garabagh will never
be a part of Azerbaijan. And there he traveled to get diaspora money:
"Continuing formed traditions we can lead inter-cooperation of Arzakh
(the way they call the Upper Garabagh) and diaspora to proper level.

I’m sure that together we will do everything for making Arzakh the
pride of every Armenian, independent, great and Armenian". Under
inter-cooperation one should understand collection of money:
All-Armenian fund "Ayastan" has already collected 1,4 mln. Euro for
villages of Armenia and the Upper Garabagh. Reportedly 1,1 mln. Euro
is collected. 250 000 US dollars were collected in Argentine. And
it is not a limit. Collection of currency is going on. We should
remind that TV marathon held November 23, 2006 brought 13,7 mln. of
donation. No one can guarantee that these money won’t be spent for
weapon and creation of "strong army", dreamt by world beggar, Bako
Saakyan, with stretched hand and pity face, crossing the ranges of
wealthy compatriots abroad taking there tear and money and justifying
his separatism by impossibility of coexistence with Azerbaijanis.

Armenian Prime Minister went far in this issue, having explained
reason of Garabagh conflict by religious factor. "We have been
avoiding considering this factor, speaking about it within the frames
of relations not only with Turkey, but also with neighbor Azerbaijan.

However contrary to our wish this factor exists and it is weighty
enough. It is serious factor. If we consider it in the context of
millenniums then probably it will turn to be that religious factor
is the only reason of our conflict". – This is from the records of
the meeting held between S. Sarkisyan with editorial staff of "Los
Angeles Times".

Later refused his own words, Armenian Prime Minister declared that
his words were misinterpreted and that he never said that Garabagh
problem is religiously motivated. But following his assertion there
exists religious factor in Garabagh conflict. His words were cited
by all mass media in Armenia and some US editions.

"Tolerance is characteristic feature of Azerbaijani nation, and the
one who has no unbiased information can dispute on this. Accordingly
to statistics in Azerbaijan there live representatives of 141 nations,
22 are living in compact state. It is interesting that living close
to Azerbaijanis these nations didn’t assimilate with them, each of
them preserved their language, traditions and culture".

– Lev Spivak, chief executive of international association "Israel –
Azerbaijan" expressed his vision this way.

And here is the view of chairman of community of mountain Jews, Semen
Ikhilov: "Our tolerance is so high that it represents example for all
the world. As for inter-religious conflicts I don’t remember such in
Azerbaijan. How one can say that some religion can’t live peacefully
in Azerbaijan? Is it true? As we remember well, Armenians lived here
in the best conditions: in the best apartments in the best regions
of Baku, they occupied governing posts in administrative bodies,
in constructions, in service, leading sections…"

Having Gained A Foothold In The Capitol Hill, Now Turkey Has Targete

HAVING GAINED A FOOTHOLD IN THE CAPITOL HILL, NOW TURKEY HAS TARGETED HOLLYWOOD

PanARMENIAN.Net

With its viewpoint on the Armenian Genocide the Bush Administration
proved that Turkey may do in the USA whatever it wants and no one
will ever say a word.

A single word about the events of 1915-1923, recognized by the
entire civilized world as Genocide, may cause big hysteria among the
Turks. In the USA, the war against the recognition of the issue is
carried out in all levels, starting from the Bush Administration and
ending with Hollywood.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "The fund for the struggle against ungrounded
accusations of Genocide" (ASÝMED) has started sending e-mails addressed
to Mel Gibson, trying to talk the actor out of performing in the film
dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.

According to ASÝMED President Turkish historian Savaþ Eðilmez,
the Armenian Diaspora has offered Hollywood $100 million for the
creation of the movie about the Armenian Genocide. "Several Hollywood
companies prepare to shoot a film, where the Armenian point of view
is represented. Mel Gibson has already been offered a role in a film
like this. The movie may be created by Icon Productions, whose partner
is Mel Gibson," said Eðilmez.

Together with this, the Turkish historian reminded that Sylvester
Stallone was also intending to make a film based on the book by Franz
Werfel "Forty Days of Musa Dagh". "However we sent him more than
3000 e-mails and he gave up this idea. The European Press has also
started to have some doubts about the truthfulness of the book. We have
started sending Gibson documents about the real order of events. We
are sending e-mails warning that if Mel Gibson doesn’t refuse to play
this role in the movie, his company may suffer greatly. What we are
doing is the answer to the new slanderous campaign, which was the
case with the "Midnight Express". We must put pressure on the famous
actor and explain him what had happened in real," emphasized Eðilmez.

The activeness of the Turkish lobby in the USA and Europe brings us to
think that it is quite possible that the U.S. Congress, together with
some European countries and the Great Britain in particular will call
things by their proper names. However, what the most astonishing thing
in this entire story is the exceptional impudence and confidence of
the Turks that the whole world will be dancing to Turkey’s tune. With
its viewpoint on the Armenian Genocide the Bush Administration proved
that Turkey may do in the USA whatever it wants and no one will ever
say a word.

Turks have started to attack violently everyone who qualifies the
events of 1915 as Genocide. However, Turkey ignores a very important
fact; the U.S.

strategic interests in the Middle East and in Turkey are only
the interests of the Administration, or to be more exact, of the
Republican Party. The Democrats are of quite different viewpoint
regarding the issue of the Armenian Genocide. Perhaps the reason is
that the Republicans are more tied with the Iraqi oil and the ideas
regarding the establishment of the independent Kurdistan.

The case with Mel Gibson, reminds of another movie actor Antonio
Banderas, who was offered the role of Kemal Ataturk in a film dedicated
to the life and activities of the "father of the Turkish Nation."

Baderas then refused and the role of the Armenian Diaspora in his
denial was not unnoticeable. The Armenian Diaspora didn’t use any
threats or blackmails, but provided some documents which revealed
the real face of Ataturk.

The story with Mel Gibson, if he gives way to the Turkish blackmail may
also become an example for other Hollywood stars. However, there is
a hope that he will follow Omar Sharif, who isn’t allowed to Turkey
after his role in the film "Mayrig". However, it is very unlikely
that this story will ever have any end.

Turkey’s future actions are not hard to guess: they are certainly going
to speak against publishers, historians, and writers or against anyone
who will dare to tell the truth. Meanwhile it is worth mentioning
that in the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs none of those who
voted against Resolution 106 doubted that it has indeed been genocide.
