Turkey: America’s Only Honorable Exit From Iraq

TURKEY: AMERICA’S ONLY HONORABLE EXIT FROM IRAQ
Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin Megalommatis

American Chronicle, CA
June 11 2007

America failed in Iraq; this conclusion is irreversible. The pathetic
and ignorant leadership of the – statistically only taken as –
superpower failed to escape from the traps its supposed British ally
had long prepared for them.

America stands accused for although a great country, it keeps inhumanly
acting as if Iraq had ever been a reality – whereas the country was a
colonial technical entity, something a serious administration should
have drawn as conclusion before interfering.

America stands accused for acting in a criminal way – fashioned after
the colonial powers France and England before more than 100 years
– that perpetrates and completes the massacre and the genocide of
numerous Mesopotamian peoples to whose existence the US administration
fails even to refer.

Stop calling the Aramaeans as ‘Assyrians’ and ‘Chaldaens’

America failed to perceive – let alone outmaneuver – the treacherous
colonial attitude of disfiguring local nations by using false national
names; as the most indicative example, the Mesopotamian Aramaeans are
called either Assyrians or Chaldaeans. Both names are preposterous and
anti-historical. Assyrians ceased to exist before more than 2600 years,
and there is not a single connection between the Ancient Assyrians
and the Aramaeans who, misguided by the French, fell victims of the
colonial confusion that targets their own existence.

France averted the Rise of a Christian Aramaean National state in
order to promote ‘Arabic’ Barbarism and Islamic Extremism.

America failed to understand that France and Vatican plotted already
during the middle Ottoman times against the Aramaeans and devised a
great number of machinations to physically exterminate the Aramaeans
to the last. By introducing the bogus-national name of Chaldaeans for
the Aramaeans who accepted the Pope’s supremacy, the French divided
the Aramaeans to Assyrians and Chaldaeans, averting therefore the rise
of a modern Aramaean nationalism that would end up in the formation
of an Aramaean National State in Syria and Mesopotamia.

By Naming the Aramaeans as ‘Assyrians’, France prepares their Genocide
at the hands of the Kurds.

America failed to detect the French plot of misnaming the Aramaeans who
live among Kurds as Assyrians; as the Kurdish nationalism, promoted
in parallel by France, attempts to draw a continuity from Ancient
Assyria (another tragic-comical and criminal, colonial falsehood),
the Aramaeans who identify themselves as Assyrians commit suicide,
exposing themselves to either forced assimilation or massacre.

Treacherous French policies of two measures and two weights

America failed to catch the nuance that the murderous and inhuman
colonial administration of France makes big fuss about the so-called
Armenian Genocide, but remains mysteriously silent in front of the
case of the merciless massacres of the Aramaeans of the Ottoman Empire
at the hands of Kurds.

Apostate French Freemasonry: the Only Responsible for the Armenian
Genocide

If America fails to have France accused and globally condemned for

a) its crimes – perpetrated through proxies – against the Aramaeans
in 1915 – 1916,

b) the closing down of the Nestorian Kutshanus Patriarchate at Julamerg
(presently Hakkari), and

c) the successive national extermination of the Aramaeans at the
hands of the Kurds, the British, and the Sunni Arabic speaking Iraqis,

America has no survival chance whatsoever.

Ignorance of Historical Realities: Reason for US failure

These are the realities the US failed to understand – let alone take
into consideration:

1. Iraq never existed; it is a bogus-term that disfigures the
Mesopotamia’s most basic historical realities.

2. The geographical area’s name is Aram Nahrain, and this is translated
in Turkish and other modern languages as Mesopotamia.

There cannot be other name, except one wants to open the Pandora’s box.

3. There are various nations, ethnic-linguistic and religious groups in
that country. Due to antagonisms exacerbated by the colonial practice
of ‘divide et impera’, these nations cannot live together.

They must be separated and freedom, democratic society’s rules,
self-determination must be guaranteed to all of them, except the
small group that, after tyrannizing the rest for more than 30 years,
proved to be prone to terrorist practices of the most inhuman nature.

Mesopotamian Ethnic – Religious Groups for a Canton -Building Effort

4. The Mesopotamian groups that have to be taken into consideration
in any canton building effort are:

– the Aramaeans, improperly and divisively called Assyrians and
Chaldaeans

– the Mandaean Aramaeans (not Christian Aramaeans as the
aforementioned)

– the Turkmens

– the Armenians

– the Yazidi Kurds, rejected by the Muslim Kurds, and often oppressed
and terrorized as supposedly Satanists

– the Mokri speaking Kurds

– the Sorani speaking Kurds

– the Bahdinani speaking Kurds

– the Hawleri speaking Kurds

– the Gorani speaking Kurds (who belong to the Ahl-e Haq religion)

and

– the Arabic speaking Shia of the Mesopotamian South.

Only a Severe Punishment of Saddam’s Sunni Thugs will guarantee Peace.

5. No one can seriously accept to take the Arabic speaking Sunni
into consideration as participatory group in the arrangement of the
Mesopotamian affairs. The collectively guilty and criminal group of
the terrorist gang that inhumanly and perfidiously served for decades
the bloodthirsty dictator Saddam Hussein stands accused for all the
crimes committed by the fallen regime.

They acted as thugs of the same gang, exploited for their profit
the country resources, excluded all the rest from the country
administration, representation and economy, and shamelessly shared
all the decisions taken by their condemned leader, supported their
materialization and carried out the implementation in the most
meticulous way.

All the other groups suffered because of the tyrannical attitude the
Arabic speaking Sunni expressed towards them for decades without a
moment of regret or repentance. All the other groups were met with
robbery, expropriation, expulsion, plight, imprisonment, serial
extrajudicial killings, torture, mass extermination, without even
having the right to complain; the luckiest of them crossed warfronts
and terribly inaccessible mountains to escape fleeing the Hell the
Arabic speaking Sunnis methodically, cynically, and obstinately
had delivered.

If you do not punish the Gangster, you are not Christian, Mr. Bush!

6. It is out of the question that any situation will be remedied
without Justice being made first. It is anti-Christian, anti-Islamic,
anti-Jewish, and ultimately antihuman. Yet, for more than four
– idiotically wasted – years the US President and his useless
Vice-President comically pretend to attempt to solve the issue without
tackling the Sunni issue first.

Who would consider as normal that no one is punished in Germany in
the aftermath of WW II?

How logical is it to limit the Iraq trials to a few people around
Saddam Hussein and inhumanly let the Sunni group unpunished?

`RALLIES ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE’
[12:56 pm] 02 June, 2007

On Children’s Day, June 1, oppositional forces (Impeachment, New Times
and Republic) held a rally near Matenadaran. The rally participants
were again comparatively few.

`No matter how many people attend our rallies, we shall conduct them
as we realise their significance,’ said Aram Sargsyan, the leader of
the Republic Party.

`people inquire when our rallies will finally stop,’ said Vahagn
Khachatryan, the former Mayor of Yerevan and a memeber of the
Impeachment.

`The rallies will not stop unless our athuorities realise that the
power is in the hands of people!’

He reflected on election frauds, presented some facts and urged the
Constitutional Court to recognise the parliamnetary election
invalid. He had a packet of dirty and torn-out ballots from Precinct
17. The ballots cast in favour of Grisha Virabyan, a candidate from
Artashat.

`The ballots were mainly faked by teachers who bring up our future
generation,’ Vahagn Khachatryan said. We must combat against this
phenomenon.

Vahagn Khachatryan also presented the sums spent by the parties at the
pre-election period. The Republican Party spent 79 million AMD and the
Prosperous Armnenia -129 million AMD instead of the fixed 60
million. The money was mainly spent in three Armneian towns – Yerevan,
Gyumri and Vanadzor.

Aram Karapetyan, the leader of the New Times advised President
Kocharian and Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan `not to sit with their
hands crossed’ as people will become more active and rally
participants will increase on the eve of presidential elections.

G8 FM: ESTABLISHMENT OF PEACE AND STABILITY IN SOUTH CAUCASUS IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT KARABAKH CONFLICT

Establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus is
impossible without settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the chairman of
informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the "Eight" (G8) in Potsdam
said, the Russian Mass Media report. To note, however, the Karabakh
problem was not included in the meeting agenda.

"The Foreign Ministers of G8 were unanimous that the conflict
resolution between Armenia and Azerbaijan on Nagorno Karabakh is
compulsory for establishment of peace and stability in the region",
the statement says. The G8 Ministers support the efforts of OSCE
MG Co-chairs and urge the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to
increase their efforts for achievement of unanimity on the basic
principles offered by OSCE MG Co-chairs. "In view of this, we welcome
the intention of the both presidents to meet within the frames of the
session of CIS informal summit in St. Petersburg on July 9, 2007 and
urge them to reach an agreement on the basic principles as to open
a way for peaceful settlement of the conflict", the statement says.

NKR MFA: Territories Of Artsakh Cannot Serve As Small Changes In Gam

NKR MFA: TERRITORIES OF ARTSAKH CANNOT SERVE AS SMALL CHANGES IN GAMBLING OF MEDIATORS

PanARMENIAN.Net
30.05.2007 19:58 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ A conference entitled "Call of Mrav" was held in
the Central Hall of Literati Moscow May 27. The event was organized on
the initiative of refugees from Shahumyan district (the most northern
part of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic) with the assistance of "Mitk"
Armenian Youth Association of the Russian-Armenian Commonwealth,
"Yerkramas" Armenian newspaper of Russia reports. In their reports
participants of the conference touched upon the most actual
historical-political issues concerning the Karabakh problem, first
of all territories of Artsakh occupied by Azerbaijan. The key point
that was actually touched upon in all speeches was the situation
around the Shahumyan district. The most significant conclusion,
which was expressed by rapporteurs on the bases of stated objective
facts, is the following, "The Shahumyan district is an integral part
of Artsakh". Participants of the conference stressed, today in the
process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement conflicting parties do
not touch upon the issue of Shahumyan-Getashen as a result of the fact
that actually the NKR does not participate in the talks. Participants
also underlined the cynical stance of mediators in the settlement
process, who want to reach temporary appearance of the settlement
via one-sided concessions to Azerbaijan aimed at their selfish ends
in political-economic expansion in the region. They are not concerned
over the future of Artsakh people, as well as peace and stability in
the whole region of the South Caucasus. "Both the Shahumyan district
and other native territories of Artsakh cannot serve as small changes
in gambling of various mediators, who behind the mask of settlement
are pursuing selfish ends of realizing their own national interests
far away from the interests of Artsakh people," Adviser to NKR Foreign
Minister Arsen Melik-Shakhnazarov underscored.

Rapporteurs also underlined that official Yerevan’s stance is
excessively compliant, which in particular is expressed in the
indifferent treatment to the future of Shahumyan, Getashen, as well
as territories of North Artsakh, where the native Armenian population
was expelled still during ethnic cleanings of 1988.

This very stance is not only mistakable, but also waning, since it does
not allow to contradict the territories liberated by the NKR Defense
Army to the Nagorno Karabakh territories occupied by Azerbaijan.

A report on Soviet period scrupulously described the aggressive,
colonial and discriminating policy of Azerbaijan towards the Armenian
population, which compactly resided at that moment on the territory
of NKAR. The result of such policy became Armenian population’s
natural aspiration for becoming independent of Azerbaijan. In this
regard participants of the conference underlined that the national
referendum on December 10, 1991 was the will of the Armenian population
of Karabakh, including the Shahumyan district. The referendum was
carried out in the full compliance with then acting legislation of
the USSR and norms of the international law.

Another actual topic during the conference was the information war
between Azerbaijan and NKR that is currently on the way. One of
the reports read as follows, "Today, 13 years after the cease-fire
of the Azeri-Karabakh bloody war, propaganda moans are heard in
Baku about "20 percent of Azeri occupied territories and over one
million refugees," and though those figures are sensu stricto entire
fabrications, they are propaganda tricks and open lies. By this way
Azerbaijani politicians purposeful bring up an entire generation of
pathologically lying citizens, who potentially are not capable to
compromise peaceful solution".

Expert of Strategic Culture Foundation Andrei Areshev scrupulously
described the current situation in the region and the process of the
negotiations around Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

During the conference participants were shown video materials about
events in the Karabakh war displaying the heroic spirit and patriotism
of the Armenian nation during that heavy period.

Deputy Director of the Center of Caucasian Studies (MGIMO-University)
of the Russian MFA Vladimir Zakharov delivered a welcoming speech. He
is a frequent guest in Artsakh and delivers lectures in Artsakh State
University. V. Zakharov told about his impressions during visits to
Artsakh. He also presented his views concerning the Artsakh problem,
saying that the NKR must be an independent state and wishing the
Karabakh people prosperity and belief in future.

A brochure titled "Call of Mrav" was prepared and issued
on the occasion of the event. It tells about the history of
Gulistan and chronology of the events in the Shahumyan district in
1988-92. Organizers of the event are also planning to publish a book
about reports presented during the conference.

Armenia Negotiates Peacekeeping Mission In Afghanistan

ARMENIA NEGOTIATES PEACEKEEPING MISSION IN AFGHANISTAN

Armenpress
May 29 2007

YEREVAN, MAY 29, ARMENPRESS: Armenian authorities indicated today
they are planning to step up the country’s international peacekeeping
mission and are negotiating with counterparts in Greece and Great
Britain the possibility of dispatching a non-combat platoon of medics
and liaison officers to Afghanistan.

The news came from Mikael Melkonian, head of a defense ministry’s
department in charge of external relationships and defense programs.

He said before Armenia could dispatch medics to the volatile country,
the parliament in Yerevan should pass a relevant decision. He said
this a time consuming process and piles of documents must be developed
and passed.

Armenia already has a 32-member platoon in Kosovo and a non-combat
platoon of 46 medics, truck drivers and sappers in Iraq.

Melkonian said Armenia is ready to double the number of troops
in Kosovo.

Arrested Oppositionist Condemns ‘Political Persecution’

ARRESTED OPPOSITIONIST CONDEMNS ‘POLITICAL PERSECUTION’
By Karine Kalantarian

Radio Liberty, Czech Rep.

Aleksandr Arzumanian, a prominent opposition politician charged with
money laundering, remained adamant in denying any wrongdoing and
alleging political motives behind his controversial arrest as he
spoke to RFE/RL in a maximum-security prison in Yerevan on Tuesday.

"I repeat that I never did anything illicit," he said. "This is
political persecution."

Arzumanian has been kept in the basement jail of Armenia’s National
Security Service for the past three weeks on charges of illegally
receiving a large amount of money from Levon Markos, a fugitive Russian
businessman of Armenian descent. His arrest came two days after NSS
officers of searched his Yerevan apartment and confiscated $55,4000
kept there.

They also confiscated a comparable amount of cash from the Yerevan
apartment of Vahan Shirkhanian, another prominent oppositionist. But
unlike Arzumanian, Shirkhanian was not accused of attempting to
"legalize revenues obtained by criminal means."

The two men used to held senior positions in government and now
co-ahead the Civil Resistance Movement, a small opposition group
campaigning for regime change in the country. They both deny being
financed by Markos.

Arzumanian, who had served as Armenia’s foreign minister from
1996-1998, claimed that he was arrested because President Robert
Kocharian and Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian were worried about street
protests staged by other opposition groups. "The authorities were in
total panic before the elections as the wave of protests was gaining
momentum and demonstrations were growing bigger," he said.

"During the nearly one month that I have been here I have not faced
any questions or [investigative] actions. I was simply isolated. They
themselves have probably understood that they have no facts," added
the former minister.

Arzumanian’s lawyer, Hovik Arsenian, similarly claimed that a
seven-member team of NSS investigators tasked with the case is
essentially idle. He said they have failed, in particular, to
investigate media reports quoting another ethnic Armenian citizen of
Russia as admitting that he is the one who sent the confiscated cash to
Arzumanian. The man, identified as Aleksandr Aghazarian, was reported
to have revealed his address and offered the NSS to question him.

ELMAR MAMMADYAROV: THE SOONER TEH CONFLICT IS SETTLED, THE BETTER FOR EVERYONE

"I agree with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Bernard Fassier
that the military way of settlement of the Karabakh conflict is
unacceptable. The sooner the conflict is resolved, the better for
Armenia, Azerbaijan and the region as a whole," Azerbaijani Foreign
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told the journalists, commenting on
the statement of the Co-Chairs during a pres conference in Baku,
"Turan" reports.

The Foreign Minister reconfirmed the necessity of accepting the
main principles, on the basis of which the future peace treaty will
be signed.

Elmar Mammadyarov said they agree to the deployment of peacekeeping
force in Lachin corridor. "The most important is not to let
military actions restart," he noted. The terms and composition of the
peacekeeping forces still remains open. The Foreign Minister reminded
that representatives of the countries of the region and the OSCE Minsk
Group Co-Chair states must not be included in the peacekeeping forces.
