UNION OF DOMESTIC PRODUCERS RECOMMENDS TO ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT TO REDUCE EXPORTERS’ RISKS

YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government should take the
responsibility of reducing possible risks of producers in order to
foster export, Vazgen Safaryan, Head of Union of Domestic Producers
of Armenia, told reporters on Wednesday.

“To boost export, the government should change the export policy
primarily by taking the risks of exporters and subsidize them by 8-9%
loans instead of the current 11%-12%,” he said.

Moreover, extension of tax on profit exemption period from 3 to 5-6
years for entities which produce what has been previously imported
can also foster exports of the republic, according to him.

Imports to Armenia stood at $4.2 billion in 2012, and exports–$1.4
billion. As to this figures, Safaryan expressed confidence that the
measures mentioned above will improve these results and import/export
ratio.

The authorities should acknowledge what can be produced in the republic
should not be imported, he noted.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia,
foreign trade turnover of Armenia in 2012 rose by
3.9% from a year earlier to over $5694,9 million. The
deficit stood at $2838,7 million. -0- – See more at:

Armenian String Cheese Can Be An Exotic Change From Fresh Mozzarella

ARMENIAN STRING CHEESE CAN BE AN EXOTIC CHANGE FROM FRESH MOZZARELLA. SAN ANGELO STANDARD-TIMES

18:34, 27 February, 2013

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 27, ARMENPRESS: Armenian “string” cheese is an exotic
change from fresh mozzarella if you are looking for a mild, milky
cheese with stretch. As reports Armenpress, San Angelo Standard-Times
daily has presented Armenian “string” cheese to foreign gourmands.

“Like mozzarella, Armenian string cheese is a filata cheese. This means
after the curds are formed, they are drained, then heated, salted and
pulled, doubled and pulled again and again, somewhat like taffy, to
form the elastic texture and fine separable strings we associate with
string cheeses. Then they are doubled up in pretty knots and stored in
brine or packaged in Cryovac. The cheese is sold fresh, with no aging.

According to Cheese.com, in Armenia it can be made with sheep, goat or
cows’ milk. Locally available cheeses are made with whole cows’ milk.

Pretty little black nigella seeds sprinkled throughout the cheese
supply texture and a sharp, oregano-like flavor.

The cheese is most attractive served with the strings pulled apart into
a pile of fluffy threads. If stored in brine, it can be quite salty,
as are most Middle-Eastern cheeses. You may rinse the untangled cheese
briefly in cold water to remove some salt if you desire. The locally
available cheeses are in Cryovac and less salty.

Nigella is the seed of Nigella sativa, a less decorative version of
the popular ornamental love-in-a-mist, commonly used in Indian and
Middle Eastern cooking. The teardrop-shaped black seeds have a nutty,
earthy, peppery flavor and are a key ingredient in some Indian spice
mixes. They add both flavor and a bit of crunch to the milky string
cheese.

Armenian string cheese can be used just like fresh mozzarella, and
is very suited for eating cold as a snack, on a sandwich, with flat
bread and relish, or in a salad. It may also be melted in a pita or
atop flatbread, or even used as a pizza cheese,” the daily writes.

Identity Of Azerbaijani People Is Formed On Anti-Armenian Propaganda

IDENTITY OF AZERBAIJANI PEOPLE IS FORMED ON ANTI-ARMENIAN PROPAGANDA – ANALYST

February 27, 2013 | 17:55

YEREVAN. – To date, there is no consensus within Azerbaijan on the
events in Khojaly, the head of the Analytical Center on Globalization
and Regional Cooperation, political scientist Stepan Grigoryan said
during the Wednesday roundtable discussion dedicated to the anniversary
of Summgait massacres.

“During meetings I ask the international and European envoys,
representatives of international organizations, if Khojaly was
“genocide” then which institutions committed it. It is no secret that
at that time official armies of Armenia or Azerbaijan did not exist. I
am very sorry that Armenia does not voice such clear and logical
things with the help of government agencies,” Stepan Grigoryan said.

According to him, the identity of Azerbaijani people is formed on
the basis anti-Armenian propaganda.

“This is not the fault of the people, it’s the fault of the Azerbaijani
elite,” the political scientist concluded.

Armenia’s Key Problem

ARMENIA’S KEY PROBLEM
Igor Muradyan

17:28 27/02/2013
Story from Lragir.am News:

There is no social-political problem which cannot be recognized and
understood by the society once false complexes are dropped, and they
pretend that the society is public at large or the majority of people.

The national liberation movement of people has always and everywhere
contradicted the interests of the bourgeoisie. The state of national
liberation movement in which the Armenian nation is, which is certain,
leads to a synthesis of aristocratic and marginal public statuses.

Only highly limited people, despite their high level of formal
education, are unable to understand that a bourgeois-nationalist
state may not be established in Armenia.

Bourgeois nationalism has led to a deep crisis of the Armenian
society in the Diaspora and exposed the independence of the Armenian
state. In addition, the Armenian bourgeoisie has always been petty and
miserable and cannot offer anything significant either in the economy,
or in politics.

Limited results of activities of the Armenian lobby in the United
States and France demonstrates the misery of bourgeois essence
of public mentality. The national liberation movement in all its
expressions is counterrevolutionary, not revolutionary in character.

(As one studies the history of ARF and Hnchak Party, one understands
that every significant achievement has a counterrevolutionary
motivation, and speaking in more tangible terms – reactionary.)

Why does modern bourgeoisie prefer the present pseudo-democratic
principles, such nonsense as universal suffrage though it could do
well without this mess? Because modern pseudo-democracy is a method of
holding on to power and suppressing national interests. What do the
Armenian voters vote for? For one representative of the interests of
the bourgeoisie or another which hates national interests, the real
legal state, such a notion as social justice.

This is doomed to mockery or oblivion accompanied with the slogans
of rightist ideology. The rightist political ideology has nothing in
common with the den of liberal arbitrariness in the world which has
led to the deepest crisis of economy and values. While other nations
can afford such luxury as expectation of better times, Armenia is
located at the line of actual geopolitical fault, is short of time for
further toleration of the government of bourgeoisie. The bourgeoisie
must run businesses and pay taxes while other groups must do politics.

Presently Armenia is caught by centers of power which impart it with
a new status in geopolitics but it happens in return for sovereignty.

This can be tolerated for some tome but will end up in a disaster if
it becomes chronology.

One way or another, left-radical and right-radical groups will
form in Armenia. The question is who will rule them. In the current
situation no political party or group can take any radical step to
level bourgeois life style and political style.

Nevertheless, there are preconditions for a right riot against
bourgeoisie in Armenia. Who will lead that, the current ruling regime
which would be the most effective option in terms of macro-expenditure
and the distance of the critical way? This right turn of the society
may cost the life of the political government of Armenia but it is
already facing the loss of its head, which may result in a political
fiasco or a successful solution for the political task.

Nothing can be as helpful for the achievement of these goals as
integration with the Euro-Atlantic community (and there is no need
to give examples of contemporary history of other countries, we have
our own issues and our own mission).
