Does U.S. Believe In Success More After September 3?

Does U.S. Believe In Success More After September 3?

Clinton said and left and who will stop Putin?

Russian President Putin is trying to restore the USSR but we will not
allow taking us back in time. The U.S. ex-secretary Hillary Clinton
said so during the meeting of the OSCE foreign ministers in Dublin in
December. It was a blunt statement which many explained by Clinton’s
retirement.

However, it is hard to think whether the ex-first lady, ex-candidate
for president and the state secretary for four years did not realize
that retirement from the post of foreign minister of a country like
the United States cannot be an `alibi’ for the author of the statement
and the country that she represents.

This statement was made by the United States, not Clinton, therefore
the United States is responsible. Hence, the question is how the
United States is going to prevent return to the past, how it will
thwart Putin’s attempts to restore the USSR.

Armenia needs to know this urgently because not only is it at the
border of the former USSR, in a region of high geopolitical
importance, but has also engaged in the Russian efforts to restore the
USSR, whether voluntarily or by force.

How is the United States going to prevent Armenia’s return to the
past? It should be noted that this is the problem of Armenia, the
government and citizens of Armenia. Since power in Armenia does not
belong to the citizens, and the government has placed itself under
Putin’s ambitions with the connivance of most political parties, only
the citizens of Armenia are to resolve the problem of the ruling
system and prevent return to the Soviet past.

However, the United States has made a statement and thereby assumed
responsibility. If the citizens of Armenia had sufficient power and
resource, the steps that the United States could take would hardly
interest us. However, since the citizens have been left alone
vis-à-vis the government and the so-called political system so the
steps of the United States can be an additional opportunity for the
citizens to address the problems.

In this regard, after the Customs Union the United States displayed an
attitude that differs from the attitude of the United States. The
United States did not make tough statements expressing its
frustration. Moreover, it expressed its readiness to continue its
policy of supporting internal reforms.

In addition, over the past few days the United States has been active
in Armenia, discussing issues of modernization in different sectors of
economy and governance.

The question is what has happened in Armenia for the U.S. attitude to
the success of this initiative. Does the United States believe in
success after September 3 more or less strongly? Does the United
States think about change of balance of partnership and reduction of
the government’s share in it?

There are no answers to these question, and these questions will
hardly have a direct answer. They are from the circle of diplomatic
and political subtleties, and there are mostly hints.

Sometimes, however, these hints are quite transparent, like the U.S.
Ambassador John Heffern’s statement that there is nothing in the
Customs Union that would impede internal reforms in Armenia. In other
words, the United States announces that the Customs Union in Armenia
cannot be a hindrance to the United States. This could be a model
behavior for Europe which has been telling us since September 3 how
disturbing the Customs Union is.

If Europe did not have a plan B on Armenia, it is evidence to Europe’s problems.

By the way, the chair of the EP Committee of Foreign Affairs Elmar
Brok told Radio Liberty they did not lose Armenia but Armenia lost the
European prospect.

Brok is right, Europe has not lost Armenia, Europe is losing itself,
and this is a problem. The problem is equally unimportant whether the
USSR is restored exactly or with some differences. Europe’s role is
that of a strategic dam.

New honour for CRC Chair Stepan Kerkyasharian

New honour for CRC Chair Stepan Kerkyasharian

September 26, 2013.
Saved under Australian News

e Chair of the Community Relations Commission of NSW, Stepan Kerkyasharian,
has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Western Sydney,
in recognition of his “distinguished service to multiculturalism”.

The degree was presented today by the Chancellor of the University,
Professor Peter Shergold, as part of a graduation ceremony at the
university.

Professor Shergold told the gathering such doctorates were presented to
“individuals who had contributed to the advancement of knowledge or the
betterment of society and who have achieved eminence in their field of
endeavour at local, state, national or international level”.

Delivering the occasional address at the graduation ceremony, Dr
Kerkyasharian referred to the impact on Australia of international acts of
terrorism like the two violent attacks committed at the weekend in Kenya and
in Pakistan.

“The First Gulf War, the invasion of Iraq, September 11, the war in
Afghanistan and then Iraq again, the bombings in Bali, London and Spain,
have left Australian Muslims feeling in danger of being isolated and
rejected,” Mr Kerkyasharian said.

“However, it has to be said that it has also made non-Muslim Australians
feel insecure and defensive, fearful of the spectre of the unknown and the
unexpected act of terror.

“The use of religion to pursue geo-political agendas, particularly through
terrorism, is a fearful and ultimately uncontrollable destructive force.

“The impact of seeing pictures of what happened in Nairobi and in Peshawar
(Pakistan) in the last few days on ordinary Australians cannot be ignored.”

“It does present us with a challenge which we have to face collectively and
for which leaders of all religions in Australia have a collective
responsibility”, he said.

Today’s presentation is Mr Kerkyasharian’s second honorary doctorate, as he
already holds a Doctor of Letters from the University of Sydney (Honoris
Causa). He is also a Fellow of the University of Technology, Sydney. Other
awards include Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2011, the Olympic
Order in 2000 and the Gold Cross of Poland.

At the end of November, Mr Kerkyasharian will conclude 24 years in his post
having served seven New South Wales State Premiers. He was previously
founding head of SBS Radio for nine years.

Mr Kerkyasharian will continue as part-time President of the Anti
Discrimination Board of NSW.

Western Media Can’t Hide Truth Forever: Stephen Lendman

WESTERN MEDIA CAN’T HIDE TRUTH FOREVER: STEPHEN LENDMAN

09:21 27/09/2013 ” INTERVIEWS

Press TV has conducted an interview with Stephen Lendman, an author
and radio host, from Chicago, about an article published by an
American journalist in MintPress News who claims to have found,
after interviewing insurgents in Syria, that chemical weapons were
supplied to them by Saudi Arabia ordered by Prince Bandar Sultan.

– Here we have another example of proof that the insurgents were behind
this chemical attack in Ghouta and that Saudi Arabia was complicit
in this, of course, Prince Bandar quoted as saying that he provided
the chemical weapons or a party linked to him.

Why wouldn’t this get widespread coverage in Western media as acts
that they claim the Syrian government was responsible for the chemical
attack in Ghouta?

– Well, of course, the US media, the reason I call them scoundrel
media, they only publish what I call the big lies. So, they publish
one lie after another wrongfully blaming Syria for blames committed
by these insurgents – the most extremist types: al-Qaeda, al-Nusra,
other extremist groups.

And there is overwhelming evidence that these people have chemical
weapons. They’re supplied by Saudi Arabia. Prince Bandar is very,
very much involved. He is head of Saudi intelligence; he’s been doing
these kinds of nefarious things for years.

The insurgents were responsible for the Ghouta attack. Russia published
information last March that the insurgents were responsible for a
chemical weapons attack in an Aleppo suburb. It supplied the UN with
this information and the UN buried it; didn’t report it and neither
did the US media.

– It’s becoming more evident from other alternative media, if you want
to call them that, such as I’d like to mention Russia Today where
there was a former Pentagon official Michael Maloof who had a paper
in his hands saying that US intelligence is aware that insurgents are
in possession of sarin gas and that this was supplied through Turkey.

This is becoming somewhat now out in the open for the general public’s
view. How can the US then think they can get away with it?

In addition, as you said, the Russian government is providing the UN
with a detailed report provided by Syria about the insurgents being
complicit in this.

– On the one hand, there is an old saying that if a tree falls in
the forest and nobody hears it or sees it, I guess it didn’t fall.

But there’s another wonderful saying that goes, “What can’t go on
forever, won’t.” And I agree.

America may get away with this for year after year after year, but
at some point push comes to shove and the day of reckoning will come
when America will no longer be able to get away with this.

There are wonderful things happening in terms of supplying people
with real information. Press TV is in the forefront of doing it,
Russia Today does a wonderful job, Voice of Russia does the same
thing and other alternative media including in America where people
are turning more to these sources for information and tuning out what
I call the scoundrel media.

And I write about this all the time. At some point these people
simply will not be looked to for information and people will get it
from credible sources and then the tide of truth will no longer be
able to be held back.

There is no question that Syria has been invaded; Washington has
been very much responsible; they’re using terror gangs to commit
horrendous crimes against the Syrian people; it’s important that this
gets reported.

It is being reported and increasingly more and more people are finding
out about it. I hope they’ll do something about it.

Mark Geragos Calls U.S. Stance On Armenian Genocide Issue Hypocritic

MARK GERAGOS CALLS U.S. STANCE ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE ISSUE HYPOCRITICAL

12:16, 27 September, 2013

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. American-Armenian attorney Mark
Geragos voiced about the Turkish strategy of the Armenian Genocide
denial and the double standards policy of the United States in
this issue. As reports “Armenpress” the participants of Anderson
Cooper 360 program unanimously condemned the policy adopted by Iran
regarding the Holocaust of the Jewish people by Nazis. Mark Geragos
has also participated in the aforesaid program and reminded the
interlocutors that the United States conduct similar policy in the
Armenian Genocide issue, which was followed by the other genocides of
the 20th century. Among other things Mark Geragos underscored: “Turkey
is our greatest ally in that region. But Turkey denies the Armenian
Genocide. As a presidential candidate Barack Obama stated that he will
recognize the Armenian Genocide, if he is elected. So in my opinion
the political dynamics in this issue is a little bit hypocritical.”

Mark John Geragos (born October 5, 1957) is an Armenian-American
criminal defense lawyer. Clients that he represented include Michael
Jackson, actress Winona Ryder, politician Gary Condit, Susan McDougal
and Scott Peterson.

As the Principal with the internationally known trial lawyer firm of
Geragos & Geragos, Mark Geragos cemented his national reputation as
a trial lawyer a dozen years ago with back-to-back State and Federal
Court jury trial acquittals for renowned Whitewater figure Susan
McDougal, later securing a presidential pardon for Ms. McDougal for
a conviction sustained prior to his representation of her.

During the last decade, Geragos has won two consecutive dismissals
of murder charges against clients by proving flawed eyewitness
identification. One of those clients later won a $1.7 million
settlement when the Geragos firm sued the City of Glendale for their
false arrest of that client. In another twelve-week murder trial where
the victim was the defendant’s four-year-old daughter, Geragos was the
lead lawyer where the jury did not convict his client. He convinced a
San Mateo Superior Court Judge to grant probation in a weapons and drug
case brought against Victor Willis, former Village People frontman, and
was the attorney who successfully represented Chris Brown last year.

Geragos won dismissal of prostitution charges against James Bond movie
director Lee Tamahori; dismissal of all felony charges – including
kidnapping and torture – for Hung Bao Zhong, the recognized exiled
leader of China’s shadow government with an estimated 38 million
followers worldwide; dismissal of murder charges for the third time
for a USC co-ed charged with murder in the death of her fetus; and
dismissal of a decades-old murder charge against Japanese national
Kazuyoshi Miura, a case christened the “Japanese O.J. Case” by
Japanese media.

Geragos was one of the lead lawyers in a pair of groundbreaking
Federal Class Action Lawsuits against New York Life Insurance and
AXA Corporation for insurance policies issued in the early 20th
century during the genocide of over 1.5 million Armenians by the
Ottoman Turk Regime, eventually settling these two cases for more
than $37.5 million. He is currently suing the Government of Turkey
for reparations arising out of the Armenian Genocide.

Geragos is the only lawyer besides Johnnie Cochran ever named “Lawyer
of the Year” in both Criminal and Civil arenas. California Law Business
Magazine named Geragos “One of the 100 Most Influential Attorneys in
California” three years in a row, and Geragos has repeatedly been voted
by his peers as one of Los Angeles’ SuperLawyers. His $59 million jury
verdict in a trade secrets case against pharmaceutical giant Pfizer
Corporation was voted both “Top Ten Verdicts in 2008 in California”
by the Daily Journal, as well as “Top Fifty Verdicts in the United
States” by the National Law Journal.

Mark Geragos has represented some of the most prominent figures in the
world. His client list has included former Congressman Gary Condit,
former first brother Roger Clinton, Academy Award-nominated actress
Winona Ryder, pop star Michael Jackson, Nicole Ritchie, singer Chris
Brown, hip hop stars Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale and Sean “Diddy”
Combs (aka Puff Daddy), international arms dealer Sarkis Soghanalian,
and the Sarkisyan family, whose seventeen-year-old daughter died when
Cigna Corporation refused to authorize a liver transplant. For the last
several years, Geragos has represented Barry Bonds’ personal trainer,
Greg Anderson, in his matter relating to the Federal Investigation
into steroid use in Professional Sports.

Geragos has regularly appeared as both guest and legal commentator
on the “Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “Dateline NBC,” “Larry
King Live,” “Greta Van Susteren’s On the Record,” “60 minutes,” and
“48 hours,” and has lectured extensively and authored numerous articles
and Law Review publications on the subject of Media and the Law.

Mark Geragos attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania as an
undergraduate, and later earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law
School. He was born in Los Angeles

Turquie : L’Eglise Orthodoxe Turque Connectee Aux Affaires Politique

TURQUIE : L’EGLISE ORTHODOXE TURQUE CONNECTEE AUX AFFAIRES POLITIQUES ?

TURQUIE

Vural Ergul a

procureurs “, a declare Orhan Kemal Cengiz.

” Ataturk a pu

a declare O’Mahony.

” a declare Cengiz Aktar, politologue a l’Universite Bahceþehir
d’Istanbul.

d’autres importants suspects d’Ergenekon.

a declare Ergul, l’avocat.

Repenser Les Migrations : Les Dachnaks Parlent De Securite Nationale

REPENSER LES MIGRATIONS : LES DACHNAKS PARLENT DE SECURITE NATIONALE EN DANGER, D’INTRODUIRE DES MESURES POUR ARRETER LES DEPARTS

ARMENIE

doivent etre prises aujourd’hui, maintenant.

agriculture industrielle.

” a detaille Artsvik Minasyan.

BAKU: Azerbaijani FM: Nagorno-Karabakh May Hamper Completion Of Sout

AZERBAIJANI FM: NAGORNO-KARABAKH MAY HAMPER COMPLETION OF SOUTHERN GAS CORRIDOR

AzerNews, Azerbaijan
Sept 26 2013

26 September 2013, 13:00 (GMT+05:00)

By Sara Rajabova

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has said that
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict hinders the completion of the Southern Gas
Corridor (SGC).

“Regional conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia is not a “frozen”
conflict. It might be a problem on the way of completion of the
construction,” Mammadyarov said during panel discussions of Caspian
Forum in New York.

“Armenian armed forces occupied Azerbaijani territories, committed
ethnic cleansing. But I have a positive view, how we should keep up
the sustainable development. The question is not only oil and gas,
in general, it is related to the development of the region. It is a
message to our Armenian neighbors “, Mammadyarov said.

He said Azerbaijan is ready to assist Armenia, if this country obeys
the norms of the international law.

Armenia occupied over 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s internationally
recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent
regions, after laying territorial claims against its South Caucasus
neighbor that caused a brutal war in the early 1990s. Long-standing
efforts by US, Russian and French mediators have been largely fruitless
so far.

As a result of the military aggression of Armenia, over 20,000
Azerbaijanis were killed, 4,866 are reported missing and almost
100,000 were injured, and 50,000 were disabled.

The UN Security Council has passed four resolutions on Armenian
withdrawal from the Azerbaijani territory, but they have not been
enforced to this day.

BAKU: Saakashvili In UN: The Current Rise Of A Modernized, Dynamic A

SAAKASHVILI IN UN: THE CURRENT RISE OF A MODERNIZED, DYNAMIC AZERBAIJAN IS A NIGHTMARE FOR THE RUSSIAN LEADERS

Azerbaijan Business Center
Sept 26 2013

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia,
who is leaving his post, had a speech at the General Assembly of
UN where he expressed consolidated estimation of Russian policy by
Russia’s neighbors and Georgian Government.

In his words, the threat of tyranny and confrontation exists
today because “old Empire” wants “to reclaim its bygone borders”,
or “margins”. Saakashvili said that he was speaking in the name of
one of such “margins” and accused Russian Federation that it has no
interest in having stable states around it and rejects the very idea
of strong governments there.

“Do you think that Vladimir Putin wants Armenia to decisively triumph
over Azerbaijan, for instance? No. This would make Armenia too strong
and potentially too independent. Do you think then that the contrary
is true, that Moscow wants Baku to prevail over Yerevan? Obviously
not. The current rise of a modernized, dynamic Azerbaijan is a
nightmare for the Russian leaders, as it can lead to integration into
the European common space”, – Saakashvili said.

He also accused Russia that it’s preparing to divide Ukraine into
parts after it signs Association Agreement with UN.

“The current Russian authorities know perfectly well that as soon
as strong institutions are built, they will reflect and enforce the
will of their people, which is to become fully independent and move
towards Europe”, – Saakashvili said.

Saakashvili said that Eurasian Union is just a concentration of
“efforts to roll back the advances of the EU and NATO in our region”.

It makes him sick “when KGB officer Vladimir Putin lectures the world
about freedom, values and democracy – this is the least of the things
he can do to the world”. The President of Georgia considers such
lectures to be a dictatorial approach.

The main target of Saakashvili’s speech was to tell why people should
not make a choice in favor of Eurasian Union.

“Unity should be our rule in Eastern Europe, including in the
Caucasus”, – Saakashvili said.

BAKU: Azeri Presidential Candidates Target West In TV Debate

AZERI PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES TARGET WEST IN TV DEBATE

ITV, Baku, Azerbaijan
Sept 21 2013

At their third TV debate, which took place on 21 September, Azerbaijani
presidential candidates targeted foreign countries, Western media
and international organizations for their “negative” role in ongoing
political processes in Azerbaijan. Public TV aired the debate live.

USA, CNN, BBC

The candidate of the opposition alliance National Council of Democratic
Forces, Camil Hasanli, repeated his earlier remarks that President
Ilham Aliyev should explain his reported purchase of foreign properties
for his family.

Self-nominated candidate Zahid Oruc said that an anti-Azerbaijani
campaign was launched after US President Barack Obama’s visit to
Turkey in 2011. He added that certain steps were required at the time
for the ratification of Turkish-Armenian protocols on the opening of
borders between these two countries, which had been signed in Sweden.

“Mr Aliyev was invited to that event, [former US Secretary of State]
Mrs Clinton made four phone calls, the head of the country [Aliyev]
did not join the event thinking about the country’s national
interests. After they saw that the project failed to work, a war
involving compromising materials against Azerbaijan started,”
Oruc said.

He also said that media outlets, such as CNN and BBC, are the main
tools of fight in the modern world.

“What he [Hasanli] has said [at election debates] is not specifically
against the Azerbaijani president. His remarks are mostly part of
a plan to weaken the Azerbaijani state… At present, generally in
the world the fight to seize states and capture countries is not
conducted using tanks or artillery. The main weapon used in the fight
today is information. Today, the main tanks and artillery are CNN,
BBC and other major, giant information systems,” Oruc said.

The deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party,
Siyavus Novruzov, who represented President Aliyev, described Hasanli’s
accusations as unfounded. He accused the opposition of passing
“materials” to the OSCE, the US Department of State and forming
“wrong” opinions about Azerbaijan.

Mais Gulaliyev, proxy of presidential candidate Ilyas Ismayilov, said
that the US policy on the South Caucasus, especially on Azerbaijan,
stands behind “negative” things in the economy, finance, health and
education in his country.

“Super powers, particularly US special organizations, control
Azerbaijan’s economy, health and education today, even developments
on our TV channels, events related to our morality, and the state of
our non-governmental organizations and political parties,” he said.

Russia, Turkey, OSCE

Farac Quliyev, leader of the National Awakening Movement Party,
said that Azerbaijan should make some changes to its foreign policy.

“Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani lands and Russia stands behind this.

They cooperate within the Collective Security Treaty Organization
[of which Azerbaijan is not a member]. Every day, we hear this
organization’s threats when Azerbaijan expresses some opinion against
Armenia… Azerbaijan is an associate member of NATO and we do not
think that it needs to maintain simply symbolic ties with NATO, but
[should] make use of its opportunities,” Quliyev said.

He urged closer military ties with Turkic states and also called for
the establishment of a new military bloc “on the axis of Azerbaijan
and Turkey, including Moldova and Georgia”.

He added that Russia and France should be replaced with Turkey and
Georgia as two of the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group which
mediates a peaceful solution to the Karabakh territorial dispute
between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“If this is not the case, no result will be achieved,” he said.

In turn, Chairman of the Social Democratic Party Araz Alizada said
that the Karabakh problem should be solved using a strong army,
not through using the OSCE Minsk Group.

“The OSCE Minsk Group should be rejected. We need to form a
professional army. This army should be an army of men over 25.

Azerbaijan should win this war [referring to Karabakh conflict],”
he added.

Alizada said that not only Azerbaijani oligarchs, but also Russian
oligarchs finance the National Council to “cause chaos in Azerbaijan
and to ensure that Azerbaijan fails to conduct an independent foreign
policy and solve its social problems”.

Presidential candidates Qudrat Hasanquliyev, Sardar Calaloglu and
Iqbal Agazada pledged to fight corruption and to develop the country’s
agrarian, health and education sectors.
