Super-moyens WBO – Abraham redevient King Arthur

A 34 ans,

Feasibility study for fourth phase of north -south transport corrido

Feasibility study for fourth phase of north -south transport corridor
in Armenia will be ready in late April

YEREVAN, March 7. / ARKA /. The feasibility study for a project
designed to build the fourth phase of North -South transport corridor
in Armenia will be ready in late April 2014, a representative of the
Armenian government said during a meeting of the Eurasian Development
Bank (EDB) , held yesterday.

The $100 million worth s project is being prepared by the EDB as the
Manager of EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund in collaboration with the Asian
Development Bank (ADB).

If the project is approved by Anti-Crisis Fund Board , which is
expected somewhere in June 2014, the financing would follow the same
year.

On 26 June 2013 the ACF Council approved the preliminary request and
Concept Note for the investment project in Armenia the Construction of
the North-South Road Transport Corridor (Phase 4) in the amount of US$
100 million. The project involves rehabilitation of a section of the
transport corridor as part of the investment project “Construction of
North-South Road Corridor”.

The “North-South” Road Corridor links Central Asia and India with
Iran, Georgia, Russian Federation and Europe. The corridor passes
across Armenia from South to North
(Meghri-Kapan-Goris-Yerevan-Ashtarak-Gumri-Bavra), links up with the
Georgian road leading to seaports Poti and Batumi (Black Sea) and on
toward Russia, CIS and EU. The “North-South” road is part of the
transnational motorway AH 82 interlinking such Central Asian countries
as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the proposed comprehensive development project, the
road route Europe-Caucasus-Asia will be improved in the zone of
junction between West Europe and Eastern Europe. The quickest shortcut
route of the corridor, 449 km in length, in its final stretch on the
territory of Georgia runs along the road Akhaltsykhe-Batumi, which is
currently in need of rehabilitation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a joint mission of the
EDB , ADB and Armenian Ministry of Transport in March- April this
year.

EDB was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 with the
purpose of support to market economy of participant-states. Charter
capital of the bank exceeds $1.5 billion. Participant-states of the
bank are Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, the Kyrgyz
Republic and Tajikistan.

The EURASEC Anti-crisis Fund is an international financial institution
established by Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia
and Tajikistan with the goals to assist its member states in
overcoming the consequences of global financial crisis, to ensure
their long-run economic stability and to foster economic integration
of ACF member-countries.

The Fund assists member states with two instruments — financial
credits, available to governments only, and investment loans, provided
either to ACF member states or to companies implementing interstate
and national investment projects. -0-

Soccer: Everything Is Possible: Liverpool Target Henrikh Mkhitaryan

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE: LIVERPOOL TARGET HENRIKH MKHITARYAN ON POTENTIAL ANFIELD SWITCH

Daily Star Online, UK
March 5, 2014 Wednesday 2:55 PM GMT

by Colin Harvey

LIVERPOOL missed out on signing Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan
over the summer, but they could have more luck this time around.

Mkhitaryan opted to sign for Borussia Dortmund, saying: “Liverpool
have a great past, but Borussia Dortmund has a great present.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

But the Reds have surprised a lot of people this season, giving them
a realistic chance to claim the Premier League while Dortmund are 20
points behind Bayern.

The 25-year-old, who has set up seven and scored nine so far this
term, says he is happy in Germany but refused to rule out a switch
to Liverpool.

Mkhitaryan said: “Of course I know how much Liverpool wanted me,
but what happened, happened.

depend entirely on me. But this is life and everything is possible.”

Pianists Sergei Babayan, Daniil Trifonov Double Up For Fresno Concer

PIANISTS SERGEI BABAYAN, DANIIL TRIFONOV DOUBLE UP FOR FRESNO CONCERT

Fresno Bee, CA
March 6 2014

By Donald Munro

The Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concerts series Friday night
offers a rare double bill: Sergei Babayan and Daniil Trifonov playing
together. Here’s a rundown:

Fresno connections: Babayan has long been a friend to Fresno’s
classical music scene. In 2007 the Armenian-American pianist, who
teaches at the Cleveland Institute of Music and performs on concert
stages around the world, helped the Fresno Philharmonic inaugurate
its new Steinway piano. And he’s performed with Keyboard Concerts
multiple times, most recently in 2008. Trifonov, meanwhile, performed
with Keyboard Concerts in 2012.

Teacher and “student”: To call Trifonov the student of Babayan doesn’t
seem like it does the relationship justice, considering that Trifonov
is what Keyboard Concerts’ artistic director Andreas Werz calls “the
hottest 23-year-old pianist in the world right now.” But it’s accurate:
After winning the prestigious 2011 Tchaikovsky International Piano
Competition for young artists, an event held every four years, and
the 2011 Rubinstein International Piano Competition, the Russian-born
Trifonov continues to study with Babayan in Cleveland even as he
pursues his own concert career.

Double bill: Babayan and Trifonov will perform together in Fresno
for the first time.

The setup: On the first piece, Mozart’s Sonata in D Major, a work
written for two players and four hands, the pianists will sit by side
at one piano. For the other three works, they’ll sit at facing pianos.

(In addition to Fresno State’s Steinway piano, the Fresno Philharmonic
is loaning its Steinway.) They will play Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 2,
written for two pianos.

Babayan as arranger: For the other two pieces on the program, Babayan
worked some arranging magic. He took Schubert’s Fantasie in F Minor,
originally written for one piano and four hands, and arranged it to be
played on two pianos. And he adapted Prokofiev’s orchestral score for
“Romeo and Juliet” Suite to be performed the same way.

The dedication: The concert is dedicated to the memory of Dorothy
Renzi, the Fresno singer who returned from a career in New York to
teach at Fresno State. She died in February.

Special guests: This will be a glittery Keyboard Concerts affair, with
Fresno State President Joseph Castro scheduled to be in attendance
along with some important university donors, Werz says. Also in the
house: Jenny Vogel, executive vice president of Opus 3 Artists, a
prominent New York artists management firm. The concert is co-sponsored
by the Fresno State Armenian Studies Program.
