AZERBAIJANI COMMANDER KILLED BY ARMENIAN WOMAN

Azerbaijan is continuing its impudent policy towards its soldiers and
their families, Spokesman for Armenia’s Ministry of Defense Artsrun
Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“Today Azerbaijan lost three servicemen near Karvachar. Also, a female
Armenian killed the commander of an Azerbaijani sniper squad in the
southern region of Artsakh. Let Azerbaijani citizens know that their
children are not only killed but also dishnoured by the country’s
leadership,” said Mr Hovhannisyan.

With Aleppo Encircled, West Seeks Wildcard To Save Its Terror Hordes

WITH ALEPPO ENCIRCLED, WEST SEEKS WILDCARD TO SAVE ITS TERROR HORDES

23.01.2015 Author: Tony Cartalucci

The Syrian Arab Army is reportedly close to completely encircling
militants that have occupied the northern city of Aleppo since they
invaded it from NATO territory in 2012. Once the encirclement is
complete, analysts believe the the city will be finally liberated,
in a process similar to the retaking of Homs further south.

The desperation of militants facing this final phase in the Battle for
Aleppo is indicated by their Western sponsors’ attempts to broker a
ceasefire and arrange “aid” to reach them. Similar attempts were made
in vain during the closing phases in the Battle for Homs in mid-2014 –
with the city of Homs having been an epicenter of terrorist activity
beginning in 2011, and now under the control of the Syrian government.

Small pockets of militants have been isolated within Homs, allowing
order to be restored across the majority of the city and the
surrounding region.

As the Syrian government systematically regains control of a nation
up-ended by Western-backed terrorists flooding the country accompanied
by a seemingly inexhaustible torrent of cash, weapons, and equipment,
the desperation of these Western interests has visibly increased.

The Guardian, chief among the many propagandists distorting the
conflict since it began in 2011, is now attempting to form a narrative
extorting global security by claiming only by NATO establishing a
no-fly-zone over Aleppo and repelling Syrian government forces, can
“moderate rebels” hold on to the city and repel lingering “Islamic
State” (ISIS) forces.

In a report titled, “Syrian rebels prepare to defend ruined Aleppo
as troops and militias close in,” the Guardian claims:

Since then the regime’s incremental gains have been hard fought,
with most inroads being pushed back by rebel fighters and locals,
both still reeling from their losses of manpower in the war with Isis.

Meanwhile Isis has lurked 20 miles away, taunting the Islamic Front
with a radio station it has set up that regularly plays Islamic chants
insulting the group’s members.

“They were strategic [losses] for us,” said the Aleppo commander of
the gains by Isis. “And [yet] the Americans doubt our commitment to
fighting them? When [the US] came back to Syria, we thought the least
they could do is to stop Assad’s air force from flying. But they have
bombed the city more than at any time before the Americans arrived. Of
course we believe they have a deal with the regime. It is obvious.”

Of course the reality is that the US has merely used ISIS as a pretext
to violate Syrian airspace, with the next step being to establish
long-planned no-fly-zones, if possible, to thwart the Syrian Arab
Army. Just as in Libya, the no-fly-zone would simply hand the rest of
Syria over to ISIS and other Al Qaeda affiliates – clearly the most
dominate militant force engaged in fighting the Syrian government,
and clearly the recipients of the vast majority of material support
supplied by NATO and their regional partners, most notably Saudi
Arabia, Qatar, and Israel.

The fight for Zahraa, one of the few Shia enclaves in northern Syria,
is being led by the al-Qaida-aligned Jabhat al-Nusra, with whom the
Islamic Front have an understanding but no formal alliance. After
barely holding ground for much of the past year, al-Nusra recently
seized large chunks of territory near the Turkish border, reasserting
itself as a power player at the expense of non-jihadist groups. The
fast-changing dynamic is forcing a new reckoning with the Islamic
Front, which says it has waited fruitlessly for help from Arab
states that was promised but never delivered. It should be noted,
that while the Guardian claims the remaining encircled militants
in Aleppo are at odds with ISIS, the same report admits these same
militants coordinate with US State Department listed foreign terrorist
organization, Al Nusra. The Guardian would admit:

These same ISIS forces that are allegedly at odds with “moderate
rebels” have seen thousands of so-called “moderates” defecting into
their ranks recently bringing with them large sums of Western cash and
weapons. That Al Qaeda – both Al Nusra and ISIS – seems to thrive along
the Turkish border indicates that NATO support is not at all going
to “moderate rebels,” but instead, intentionally to Al Qaeda, or to
moderate groups NATO knows is working with, or soon to join Al Qaeda.

With a menace of the its own creation – perpetuated to this day
and thriving along the borders of NATO, seeking safe-haven in NATO
territory and receiving an uninterrupted line of supplies from NATO
territory with absolute impunity – the West seeks to extort from
the world through fear of ISIS’ spread, greater direct military
intervention, up to and including no-fly-zones, and perhaps more
muscular policies including the carving out of “safe havens” within
which ISIS can stage larger and more effective military operations
deeper into Syria.

As exposed in 2007 by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and veteran
journalist Seymour Hersh in his New Yorker report titled, “The
Redirection,” the West conspired to intentionally build up and unleash
terrorist mercenaries affiliated with Al Qaeda across the Arab World
to fight a proxy war against Iran and its growing arc of influence. US
support was to be laundered through Saudi Arabia as to maintain a
veneer of plausible deniability and operational compartmentalization.

Clearly, what is unfolding in Syria today, is the verbatim
manifestation of Hersh’s meticulous, 9-page report.

To confound this criminal conspiracy, Syria and its allies must ensure
that the ongoing conflict is exposed as a terrorist invasion, not a
“civil war,” and that any strategy formulated to combat this terrorist
scourge must include the Syrian government – demonstrably the most
capable force confronting Al Qaeda in the Levant since 2011. Thus,
the more aid the West and its regional allies supply this terrorist
front with, the greater support Syria has upon the global stage to
fight it – painting Western foreign policy into a corner, and allowing
Syrians to finally restore order to their besieged nation.

ARMENIENS : LE PREMIER GENOCIDE DU XX SIECLE

Magazine l’Histoire

pourtant bien intégrée a l’Empire ottoman. On comprend mieux

Questions About Gyumri Murders: Prosecutor General Faces Parliament,

QUESTIONS ABOUT GYUMRI MURDERS: PROSECUTOR GENERAL FACES PARLIAMENT, WITH LITTLE TO SAY

Politics | 22.01.15 | 15:57

GOHAR ABRAHAMYAN
ArmeniaNow reporter

During Thursday’s Parliamentary hearings Prosecutor General Gevorg
Kostanyan assured the National Assembly that Armenian and Russian
law enforcement bodies are properly managing the case of the seven
murders in Gyumri by a Russian serviceman who confessed to slaying
the Avetisyan family.

Connected with the incident in Gyumri hearings of legal processes
at the National Assembly Standing Committee on Legal Affairs were
supposed to be held still on January 20, however they got delayed when
the youngest victim, six-month old Seryozha Avetisyan, died that day.

On January 12 six members of a seven-member family were killed
in Gyumri, in their own house, and the six-month-old infant was
hospitalized with severe wounds where later he passed away.

The main accused of the case is a Russian serviceman at Russian
military base in Gyumri, Valeri Permyakov, who later that day made an
attempt to cross the Armenian-Turkish border, however, according to
official information, he was apprehended by Russian law enforcement
bodies and currently he is at the Russian military base. Nevertheless,
Armenians demand that he be handed over to the judgment of Armenian law
enforcement bodies, and have held many protests to make that demand.

The press release of the Armenian Information and Public Relations
Department of the Investigative Committee said that Permyakov is
accused upon the 1st point of the 2nd part of Article 104 of Armenian
Criminal Code – for premediated murder of two and more people and
Permyakov accepted the accusations.

During Parliamentary hearings oppositional Heritage Party faction MP
Zaruhi Postanjyan once again raised the question why no criminal case
on crossing the border is filed yet.

In response to the question the Prosecutor General said that it is
necessary to find out whether he appeared in the hands of the Russian
border guard legally, which, according to Kostanyan, will serve as
a ground enough to turn to the Russian Attorney General.

Still several days ago in Gyumri, Kostanyan promised to turn to the
Russian Attorney General (for handing over the case), however on
Thursday he said that actually still there aren’t enough grounds
for that.

“I will do that when we have enough grounds for that,” Kostanyan said.

Armenian National Congress (ANC) faction MP Nikol Pashinyan said that
the Prosecutor General avoids answering questions for which he should
have answers by now.

“We noticed that servicemen of the Russian military base are realizing
some armed actions in the streets of Gyumri. Do they have rights by
any document claiming that they can realize such operation on the
territory of Armenia?” Pashinyan asked inquiring about which side is
going to run the case. In response to his question Kostanyan said
that when it comes to the stage of handing over the proceedings,
according to the order determined in 1997 agreement, the sides will
agree upon that issue.

What refers to operative actions of the servicemen of the military
base, the Attorney General said that upon the 9th point of the same
agreement with the permission of the Armenian law enforcement bodies,
servicemen of the military base may realize actions.

And Heritage faction MP Alexader Arzumanyan said that the hearings
were supposed to be run with the presence of the Foreign Minister,
because, according to Arzumanyan, Kostanyan is responsible only for
the proceedings of the case.

Opositional MPs accused Kostanyan of appearing before the legislative
body merely to patronize the deputies, rather than to give insight.

In the end the Prosecutor General apologized for not being able
to answer all questions, saying that there is a confidentiality of
pre-investigation.

Aliyev Given A Harsh Reception In Berlin

ALIYEV GIVEN A HARSH RECEPTION IN BERLIN

Yerevan /Mediamax/. After addressing a joint press conference with
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had
to leave the conference hall under “release the political prisoners”
chanting.

Ahead of Azerbaijani President’s visit to Germany, a number of human
rights organizations including Amnesty International and Human Rights
Watch, called upon Angela Merkel to exert pressure on Ilham Aliyev
demanding to release political prisoners. They recalled that only
in 2014, over 30 dissidents were imprisoned in Azerbaijan, Deutsche
Welle reports.

In Berlin, Aliyev was met by protesters who raised the photos
of political prisoners and posters saying “Stop tyrant Aliyev”,
“Azerbaijan without political prisoners”, “Stop assisting authoritative
regimes” etc.

“At the press conference, among other top priority issues for Germany,
Merkel also noted the human rights situation in Germany. Most probably,
Ilham Aliyev didn’t consider the topic important as he didn’t touch
upon it in his introductory speech. However, journalists reminded
the President about it asking whether Aliyev was not concerned about
the fact that Azerbaijan ranks the 160th on World Press Freedom
Index. Aliyev stated in response that all the rights and freedoms
are protected in Azerbaijan”, the German magazine writes.

In her turn, Angela Merkel recalled that Azerbaijan is a Council of
Europe member which means that it is committed to ensure fundamental
freedoms and democratic principles.

“We think that in the human rights field, there are cases which evoke
our criticism”, said Angela Merkel.

“However, the Azerbaijani President’s mood was once and for all ruined
by one of the journalists. When the press conference was over and
Merkel and Aliyev were leaving the hall, he stood up to loudly chant:
“Release the political prisoners in Azerbaijan”, Deutsche Welle writes.

BAKU: Armenians, Outlander In Caucasus, Proves Lie Detector

ARMENIANS, OUTLANDER IN CAUCASUS, PROVES LIE DETECTOR

AzerNews, Azerbaijan
Jan 21 2015

21 January 2015, 14:10 (GMT+04:00)

By Mushvig Mehdiyev

The lie detector, a technology developed by the Caucasian History
Center to unmask the Armenian falsifications, is a main “gravedigger”
for the Armenian historiography, said a high-level Azerbaijani
official.

Fuad Akhundov, Head of the Lie Detector Project, Deputy Department
Head of the Presidential Administration, said the survey based on that
technology has proved the absence of any tie of the words “Lavash”
and “Duduk” with the Armenian culture and heritage.

“The word “Lavash” can be traced back in Turkic chronicles in VII-XIII
centuries but it is not seen at all even in the Armenian dictionaries
of the XVII- XIX centuries. The word “Lavash” emerged in the Armenian
culture only hundred years after their move to the Caucasus, when
they began their efforts to armenize the territory in early XX century.

This fact clearly shows who is a local of the Caucasus and who is an
outlander,” Akhundov said in his interview with Interfax Azerbaijan.

Akhundov noted that none of the 18 Armenian dictionaries, which
were published between the years of 1698 and 1906, contains the word
“Lavash” and even nothing about the “Armenian Duduk.”

“It once more proves that the Armenians have adopted the Lavash,
Duduk and other examples of the cultural and spiritual heritage from
the Turkic people much later. The mentioned 18 dictionaries bear
the characteristics not only of the linguistic, but also historical
documents,” Akhundov added.

Our technology destroys the postulates of Armenians about their
autochthony in the Caucasus and belonging of all the surrounding
things, even including the lands, which we know in regard to the
Nagorno-Karabakh region, said Akhundov

Akhundov added that the next survey will be co-conducted with the
Georgian scientists to investigate the Georgian words also claimed
by the Armenians.

“Collaboration with the Georgian colleagues is particularly topical
given the recent claims of Armenians for 450 Georgian churches, similar
to their appetite for tens of the ancient Albanian churches in the
territory of Azerbaijan. I’m sure that the outcomes of the joint tests
will inflict the same blows on the Armenian falsifiers,” Akhundov said.

Our ethno-linguistic method will again and again prove the alienage
of the Armenians to our region, and at the same will unmask their
ungrounded claims not only for the historical, religious and cultural
values of the indigenous nations, but also the lands, including the
Nagorno Karabakh.

Akhundov claimed that no one can disprove the new technology as long
as this linguistic detector provides and will provide the results
with absolute precision.

“We will keep on refuting the all older and possible claims of the
Armenians for the history and culture of the neighboring nations,”
Akhundov said.

Armenia has recently appealed to the UNESCO in an effort to present
Lavash as a typical example of its cuisine. However, the UNSECO passed
a resolution to acknowledge it as a common heritage of several regional
countries, after reconsidering the issue based on Azerbaijan’s appeal.

Revealing the original root of Lavash, Kamran Imanov, Director of
Azerbaijan’s Copyright Agency, said the word Lavash comes from the word
“ash” that means to cook and etymologically belongs to Turkic world.
