Legalists And Criminals

LEGALISTS AND CRIMINALS

Story from Lragir.am News:

Published: 12:51:16 – 15/03/2012

The publication of the Republican ticket revealed the split of
this party between the so-called “legalists” and “criminals”. The
legalists -people who more or less get along with the law and speak
about democratization, modernization and new technologies, will be
included in the Republican list to save the face of the party. The
notorious “criminals” who harm the image of the party will run in
the constituencies.

By sending the oligarchs to the constituencies Serzh Sargsyan gave
them freedom of action. If you are lucky, you will be elected. But
where is the limit of freedom? Does it suppose violence, bribe, or use
of administrative levers? Will the party use its resources to ensure
Samvel Aleksanyan’s reelection? Or is it up to Aleksanyan to decide?

Nomination of Republicans in constituencies means that the party allows
for the application of any “acceptable” methods. Most probably the
party knows that people will not vote for the oligarchs. The idea of
getting rid of the oligarchs by sending them to the constituencies
is not well-grounded because the party will lose mandates in this
case. Most probably, the Republicans will support the oligarchs,
ignoring the rules of the fight and will guarantee their parliamentary
seats and property. Eventually, Serzh Sargsyan will be the sole
guarantor of property.

Perhaps, Serzh Sargsyan’s appeal to “trust” is intended for the
oligarchs. Apparently, they had doubts regarding their eligibility for
the elections and guarantees for their property. Serzh Sarsgyan told
them to trust him in order to be elected. But something will change
– he will be the guarantor of their well-being from now on. Here is
all the change.

Armenian Environmental activists who organized rally in the Yerevan’s
Mashtots park have spread an urgent message informing that there are
many policemen in the park and their numbers are increasing.

The message of the activists reads as follows:

“SOS Mashtots park….!!! Yerevan

We set a tent for the rally, which is legal according to the Armenian
Constitution and does not violate any law, but the Armenian police
disagree with us. They claim we are not allowed to set tents and for
setting them we must get the permission of the authorities. Currently
we have surrounded the tent so it won’t be damaged.

The police demand to remove the tent but we will not surrender.

The park is full of police officers and their numbers increase.

WE ASK EVERYONE TO JOIN US IN THE PARK…!!!

The bigger our numbers are the better.

If you can bring hot tea and food bring it with you.

Spread this and join us.”
