Experts Consider That The Recognition Of Armenian Genocide Must Be D

EXPERTS CONSIDER THAT THE RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MUST BE DISCUSSED AT GEORGIAN PARLIAMENT

Expert of Javakh issue Ghevond Lazarian met journalists today. “I
consider that Azerbaijani deputies have obvious authority in the
Georgian Parliament, but we can not say the same about Armenian
deputies”, the expert said. According to him the dispute between
Azerbaijani and Georgian deputies over the recognition of Armenian
Genocide on April 24 proves this.

According to Lazarian Armenian deputies do not say words “Armenian
Genocide” even in whisper. The speaker considers that the issue
of Armenian Genocide recognition must be raised in the Georgian
Parliament. The latter must decide itself to recognize the Genocide
or not.

Remind that on April 24 representative of the Georgian opposition
party “Georgian council” Jondi Bagaturia and the deputy from the
leading party “United National Movement” Azer Suleymanov argued.

Azerbaijani deputy called his colleague “Bagaturyan” and advised him
not to be involved in “the issue where he had no tie”. After it they
threw some things towards each other and then started to beat.

Another participant of the press-conference, expert on Georgia Alik
Eroyants noted that Azerbaijani deputy acted not correct. And despite
the latter apologized it did not justify him at all.

“I would ask Armenian Community in Georgia to be more active and to
be more united in the issue of recognition of Armenian Genocide”, A.
Eroyants noted.

In Azerbaijan’s Doctrine Armenia Is Enemy – Expert

IN AZERBAIJAN’S DOCTRINE ARMENIA IS ENEMY – EXPERT

news.am
May 01, 2012 | 05:12

The response of the international community to the events of April
25-27 occurring on the Armenian -Azerbaijani border will be only
negative, the head of Russian Centre for Military Forecast Anatoly
Tsyganok announced.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s increased activity does not mean
anything good.

“The last 2 years Azerbaijan has been stating that it is planning
to start military actions in the Karabakh region as during the last
20 years it was not able to get what it wanted,” he said adding that
war threatens Nagorno-Karabakh. “The military doctrine of Azerbaijan
should not be forgotten according to which Armenia is the enemy,
the only enemy. Baku has already forgotten that there may be other
enemies besides Armenia.”

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Armenia’s Dovegh village’s
kindergarten was under fire of Azerbaijani military units on Thursday,
while on Friday Azerbaijanis fired at VAZ 2107 vehicle on the road
section between the Aygepar and Movses villages, killing three Armenian
passengers of the car.

ARMENIA MARKS INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY

Today Armenia marks International Workers Day. It is celebrated in
more than 140 countries of the world.

International Workers’ Day is the commemoration of the 1886 Haymarket
Massacre in Chicago, which occurred after an unknown person threw a
dynamite bomb at police as they dispersed a public assembly during a
general strike for the eight-hour workday. In response, the Chicago
police fired on the workers killing dozens of demonstrators and
several of their own officers.

In 1889, the first congress of theSecond International, meeting in
Paris for the centennial of the French Revolution and the Exposition
Universelle, following a proposal by Raymond Lavigne, called for
international demonstrations on the 1890 anniversary of the Chicago
protests. May Day was formally recognized as an annual event at the
International’s second congress in 1891.

Subsequently, the May Day Riots of 1894 occurred. In 1904, the
International Socialist Conference meeting in Amsterdam called on “all
Social Democratic Party organizations and trade unions of all countries
to demonstrate energetically on May First for the legal establishment
of the 8-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for
universal peace.” The congress made it “mandatory upon the proletarian
organizations of all countries to stop work on May 1, wherever it is
possible without injury to the workers.”
