MKHITARYAN IS REAL DISCOVERY FOR BORUSSIA, SAYS RUSSIAN CHAMPION

16:06 03.09.13

A champion of the 1988 USSR Olympics has described Armenian midfielder
Henrikh Mkhitaryan a real discovery for Dortmund’s Borussia.so

“I have known Mkhitaryan since the matches with the Armenian team.

That football player is a real discovery for Borussia, and I know
Klop is content with his performance. He is a team player and does
not have to worry for a place in the main team,” Yuri Sovichov said
in a recent interview with Sport Express.

“Borussia is the club which often uses pressing to attain a result. I
think that style is close to Mkhitaryan. The Armenian footballer
scored the two goals in Frankfurt with a kick of the left leg. It is
very important for a football player to use both legs effectively,”
he added.

Papyan: Military Invasion Of Syria Unlikely

PAPYAN: MILITARY INVASION OF SYRIA UNLIKELY

15:59 03/09/2013 ” POLITICS

The military invasion of Syria is unlikely in a short term perspective,
director of Modus Vivendi center, political scientist Ara Papyan told
reporters on Tuesday.

“The United States is currently the biggest player in the Middle East.

But it should be noted that the United States is almost alone against
Syria as, except Turkey and, partly, France, the other countries
have rejected participation in a military strike against Syria,”
Papyan said.

The United States understands clearly that it has no resources to
control Syria after the collapse of Assad’s regime, the speaker noted.

“I think that there will be no large war in the future, but there
will be missile strikes against Syria, with the latter being just
because Obama has put himself in such a situation that he cannot but
do something,” the analyst said.

Protests Evidence Of Anarchy In Armenia

PROTESTS EVIDENCE OF ANARCHY IN ARMENIA

14:27 03.09.13

The protests against illegal actions are evidence of anarchy in the
country, Armenia’s ex-Ombudsman Larisa Alaverdyan told journalists
on Tuesday.

“What measures are the authorities taking against the offenders that
have been fined or warned, but they continued their actions to the
end? This is the evidence of anarchy and impotence of the authorities,”
she said.

With respect to the women that gathered in front of the Covered
Market and called Samvel Alexanyan “a benefactor,” Alaverdyan noted
that they were brought with a view to “far reaching designs.”

Sukias Avetisyan, a Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary
group member, said he was glad about the renovation of Yerevan’s
Covered Market because people will be employed at a market “with
new foundations.”

“As regards its cultural and historical value, its appearance will
be preserved, which will enable people to work in better conditions,”
he said.

Avetisyan is glad about civil society’s activity. However, their
behavior shows the “client’s style.”

“I want civil society to be active, but without claiming they are
architects,” he said.

In response, Alaverdyan said that “civil society does not have to be
an architect. I must know laws and defend them.”

Obama Has No Clear Position On Syria – Armenian Expert

OBAMA HAS NO CLEAR POSITION ON SYRIA – ARMENIAN EXPERT

13:51 * 03.09.13

The United States’ possible intervention in Syria is not going to be
as easy as was in Iraq, an Armenian analyst has said, commenting on
the continuing tensions in the country.

According to Artak Skakaryan, a regional expert specialized in Turkish
studies, President Barack Obama is not powerful enough to undermine
Bashar al-Assad just within a day.

“[President] Bush had a thesis, which served as a guideline for him;
Obama doesn’t have an approach. He is trying to undermine Syria with
the help of domestic forces. ôhe region won’t be facing serious
tensions in case of a pointed strike; for the Armenian population
in Syria, that would mean yet another massacre. The big problem
for Armenia is the problem of the Syrian -Armenians. What Aleppo is
facing now is anarchy causing harm to the Syrian Armenians,” he told
a news conference.

As for Iran, Shakaryan said the country realizes well that the
strikes are against it as it may face a total isolation in case of
Syria’s collapse.

“The Syrian collapse also harms Russia. So Russia will fight up to
the last ditch to prevent an attack. Russia is not that powerful in
the Middle East, while Turkey will keep arming its contract killers
and militants more aggressively,” he added.

Shakaryan noted that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has
elaborated anti-Syrian strategies over the past couple of years in
an attempt to increase the number of Sunni forces in the country.

“Erdogan is exaggerating the foreign policy problems today to leave
the domestic problems in oblivion. But Erdogan is going to face
problems domestically. The upcoming local government elections are
going to see a fight for Istanbul. The constitutional debates and
the presidential and parliamentary polls will come next,” he noted.

COVERED MARKET COVERUP: “PAK SHUKA” RENOVATION IS ILLEGAL SAYS PROTESTERS, CULTURE MINISTRY

The flaring passions over the 60-year-oldPak Shuka (Covered Market)
produce market in the heart of Yerevan, have escalated into a
standoff between those who want to see the site maintained as a
cultural landmark, and those who support its transition into a modern
supermarket and a source of jobs.

Enlarge Photo

Those who support development by the building’s owner, Parliament
Member Samvel Alexanyan, are demanding that members of the opposing
social initiative group “Liberate the market from the oligarch”
back-off and stop hampering construction.

The stand-off against the market reconstruction has received another
spur after oppositional Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper published a story
claiming that the interior has been altered beyond recognition, turned
into a “whitewashed” shopping center, a second storey has been added,
an escalator installed and by September 15 another store of Yerevan
City supermarket chain will open.

Prior to this deputy culture minister Arev Samuelyan made a statement
that the ministry had not licensed any construction at the Covered
Market, neither had it approved any architectural plan.

“The construction there is illegal. The ministry has constantly voiced
this issue and acted within the limits of its authority,”she said. “We
have sent numerous letters to all the bodies in charge”.

Architect Sashur Kalashyan says City Hall had promised to dismantle
illegal structures and punish the wrongdoers, however after seeing
the market interior it is apparent the beloved building’s character
has been changed completely.

“The municipality claimed the construction inside the market had
been suspended and the building was under its control. However, now
the news is that it will open in two weeks. What is that supposed to
mean?” says the architect.

“Liberate the market from the oligarch” initiative group has three
demands: to hold the owner liable as the law provides for, make him
compensate the damage caused to the monument and restore its original
interior, implying dismantlement of illegal structures, restoration of
the monument back to its original state. They also demand to suspend
the owner’s rights to use the monument and carry out any economic
activity on its premises until the above listed demands are met.

Group coordinator Garegin Chugaszyan says should the listed demands not
be met, the owner should be legally stripped off his ownership right.

Meanwhile on Monday hundreds of Alexanyan’s supporters rallied next
to the market – employees of Yerevan City supermarkets located in
different parts of the Armenian capital – armed with tricolors, “Yes
to new jobs” posters, whistles, chanting “Alexanyan-philanthropist”.

Water and juices were being distributed to them all along during
the protest.

Civil activists rallied at Mashtots Park at the same time said that
they did not go to the market area out of safety concerns – the number
of police officers on site was far not enough to prevent a clash,
bound to happen had they gone.

“Whether they wanted a clash, I cannot say, but this speaks for it.

They came in great numbers and the police would fail to hold them,”
says Yeghia Nersisyan, one of the activists. “For how long can
Alexanyan have his employees go on strike and bring them over to the
market premises?”

Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan has released a statement that the law
enforcement bodies should take up the covered market issue, rather than
ministries or the city hall. It is doubtless that the construction
is illegal, as the urban development and culture ministries, as well
as Yerevan city hall representatives have repeatedly stated.

Marat Musin:Training Camps For CIS Militants In Syria Are Headed By

MARAT MUSIN:TRAINING CAMPS FOR CIS MILITANTS IN SYRIA ARE HEADED BY PERSONAL BODYGUARD OF AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV

12:30 03/09/2013 ” INTERVIEWS

Training camps for CIS militants in Syria of are headed by personal
bodyguard of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In general, thousands
of CIS citizens are fighting on the militants’ side in Syria – there
are over 4000 Russians there, and in the military camps there are
also many Azerbaijanis, who are now “dying with groups,” stated in his
interview given to “Neyromir TV” expert Marat Musin who has recently
returned from Syria. Video of the interview is available on “Youtube.”

Commenting on the use of chemical weapons in Jawbar, one of Damascus’
outskirts, the expert stressed that there have been no chemical attack
by Syrian government forces; on the contrary, it is the militants who
use chemical weapons. Thus, the militants already have the technology
of producing artisanal chemical weapons.

Musin stated that the West promotes the terroristic elite in Syria.

“When high-level professionals will be involved in the elite, the rest
will surely show the white feather,” he said. The expert also noted,
“Training camps for terrorist from CIS are headed by Ilham Aliyev’s
personal bodyguard.”

The transfers of the mainstream flow of citizens from CIS countries
to Syria, who are fighting on the side of President Bashar al-Assad’s
enemy troops, as noted by Musin, pass through Turkey.

“CIS citizens enter Syria through Turkey. First they receive the Turks,
who move them to the border, where they form groups. A taxi pulls up,
takes them to the required places, where they have to cross the border
by themselves. Then the Turkish police car pulls up, collects the
documents, takes them to its police district, scans them, returns and
hands them back. As soon as they crawl over the border the Kirghiz,
who speak Russian, meet them,” Musin says.

Then, the CIS citizens get into militants’ camps. “There are a lot
of Azerbaijanis there. Who holds the markets here? Our peaceful
merchants. They get into Jawbar by packs. Now all this riff-raff is
out there,” said Musin.

He stressed at the same time that the most high-profile crimes in
Syria are committed by the Russian who are originally from the North
Caucasus. “At present terrorist leaders are being prepared in Syria,
who will return to Russia in the future,” the expert said.

Speaking on the terrorists of “Al-Qaeda” who oppose the governmental
forces in Jawbar Musin stated that as soon as the Syrian army
occupied the key positions in that area in half an hour, trying to
bring order to its ranks the commanders of terrorists shot three of
their commanders. Musin also noted that Russia is not ready for the
tactics of the war which is used in Syria because the army there has
to destroy entire neighborhoods occupied by small terroristic groups.

In the last period of time the media reported about a number of deaths
of Azerbaijani terrorists in Syria. In early April, the Turkish sites
have reported that about 30 terrorists from Azerbaijan have already
been killed in Syria. According to the Azerbaijani conflict scientist
Arif Yunus more than 300 Islamists from Azerbaijan are fighting in
Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. However, according to Arif Yunus and
the “Facthaber” portal, over 100 Azerbaijani terrorists are fighting
in Syria. Azerbaijani terrorists had even placed an online video-record
calling for “jihad.”

Recall that the relationship between international terrorist groups and
Azerbaijan originated in the early 1990s. That time, the Azerbaijani
army, having failed in the aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic (NKR), retreated with losses. Trying to save the situation,
the Azerbaijani leadership, headed by Heydar Aliyev attracted to the
war against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh international terrorists
and members of radical groups from Afghanistan (groupings of Gulbuddin
Hekmatyar), Turkey (“Grey Wolves”, etc.), Chechnya (groupings Basayev
and Raduyev etc.) and some other regions.

Despite the involvement in of thousands of foreign mercenaries and
terrorists in the Azerbaijani army during the war, the Azerbaijani
aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh Republic failed, and the Baku
authorities were forced to sign an armistice with the NKR and Armenia.

However, international terrorists found ties in Azerbaijan, and used
them in the future. Recruitment was conducted among Azerbaijanis,
who then were sent to Afghanistan and the North Caucasus, where
participated in the battles against the forces of the international
coalition and Russian organizations.

In recent years, the citizens of Azerbaijan are actively involved in
terrorist and extremist activities in Russia, Afghanistan and Syria.

In Azerbaijan the citizens are brought to criminal liability for
participating in “illegal armed groups” in Afghanistan, sentenced to
minor terms of imprisonment.

Le President Sarkissian Denonce Le Système Feodal En Azerbaidjan

LE PRESIDENT SARKISSIAN DENONCE LE SYSTÈME FEODAL EN AZERBAIDJAN

ARMENIE

« On va
