Armen Movsisyan: "Nairit" Will Be Relaunched" (Video)

ARMEN MOVSISYAN: “NAIRIT” WILL BE RELAUNCHED” (VIDEO)

16:06 | March 27,2014 | Economy

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan promises that
after some months “Nairit” factory will be relaunched. According to
him, at the moment the negotiations with “Rosneft” are continuing.

“Nairit” is now in the phase of technical- theoretical justification
works, which will be discussed and the road map will be clear,”-
assured the Minister.

Mr. Movsisyan has announced that he has taken loans for giving the
salaries of “Nairit” workers. Whether those loans later will be
compensated from the state budget?: “Those loans have no connection
with the state budget. Those loans will be involved in the project
of relaunching.”

If the factory isn’t relaunced, who will close those loans,
Minister Movsisyan announced with responsibility, “It will be surely
relaunched.”

To the question what was the reason for the Executive’s decision today-
to prolong Armenian Nuclear power plant energy block operation period
until September, 2016, Armen Movsisyan noted: “It was conditioned by
the geopolitical situation. But anyway, one way or another, it will
be relaunched. For that we will take money from international donors.”

But why it wasn’t possible to take that money until today: “Economic
crisis, the events in Fukushima delayed that process. There is some
peace in that field now and that’s why we will try to reactivate
those processes again.”

When Nuclear power plant’s second energy block will be built, and
who will do it, Mr. Movsisyan assured, “We must build in upcoming 15
years and “Rosatom” will build.”

RAFFI HOVANNISIAN: ARTSAKH CAN BE COMPARED WITH CRIMEA ONLY IF RUSSIA ANNEXES IT

by Ashot Safaryan

ARMINFO
Thursday, March 27, 14:24

Serzh Sargsyan’s stance on Crimea is a display of political
shortsightedness, Raffi Hovannisian, Leader of Heritage Party, said at
a Roundtable on Ukraine organized by the Armenian Center of National
and International Studies (ACNIS).

According to Hovannisian, Russia’s actions in Crimea was nothing but
violation of the norms of the International Law and constitute threat
to security in both the region and the world. The Armenian authorities,
in turn, should not side with the Kremlin, but decisively protest
against falsification and distortion of the norms of the International
Law. The politician is sure that when it comes to the principle of
the people’s right to self-determination, no parallels can be drawn
between Artsakh and Crimea. “They have nothing in common.

Artsakh and Crimea can be compared only if Russia annexes Nagorno
Karabakh!” Hovannisian said.

To recall, Serzh Sargsyan in a phone talk with Vladimir Putin on 19
March said: “The Crimea referendum is another case of exercise of
peoples’ right to self- determination via free expression of will.”

Azerbaijan and Turkey to Italy and expressed its protest against the
anti-Armenian policy conducted by those countries. on that demand

parliament Fabrizio Chiquito, senator Pier Ferdinando Casini and leader

“Azerbaijan and Turkey threaten the security of Armenia and its people
even beyond its borders. There have been many victims in recent years

but joint enmity of the two countries towards the sovereign state,”
the letter says as reported by Armenpress.

Armenian Assembly Of America Urges President Obama To Safeguard The

ARMENIAN ASSEMBLY OF AMERICA URGES PRESIDENT OBAMA TO SAFEGUARD THE ARMENIANS OF KESSAB

13:13 27.03.2014

The Armenian Assembly of America (Assembly) condemns the attacks on
Armenian communities in Syria and the greater Middle East, including
the seizure and desecration of ancient Armenian religious sanctuaries.

The Assembly is particularly concerned that the extremists crossed
the Syrian border from Turkey and attacked Kessab.

In its March 24th letter to President Obama, the Assembly called
upon the Administration to safeguard Christian Armenians, not only
in Kessab, Syria, but throughout Syria and the Middle East.

“We call on President Obama to take all steps necessary to not only
safeguard the Christian Armenian community of Kessab, but to increase
efforts in coordination with the United Nations to ensure that all
minority communities are afforded greater protection. In addition,
we urge President Obama to make it publicly clear that the United
States will not tolerate its NATO ally’s policy of providing support
to extremist groups,” the Assembly’s letter to President Obama stated.

“For Armenian Americans, current images of Armenian homes being looted
and occupied in Kessab, and innocent lives tragically lost, invoke
painful memories of the early phases of the first genocide of the
20th century at the hands of Ottoman Turks,” read the Assembly letter.

The Assembly, for its part, has and will continue to reach out directly
to Members of Congress and the Obama Administration urging that the
Christian Armenian community in Kessab be safeguarded. In addition,
the Assembly has urged the Administration to redouble its overall
humanitarian efforts for Syria’s Christian and minority refugees
and displaced.

“The Assembly will continue to press for action with an urgent appeal
for immediate relief and assistance to the Armenians of Kessab,”
added Ardouny.

Antichrist Nation Of Turkey Wants To Revive Genocide Of Christians

ANTICHRIST NATION OF TURKEY WANTS TO REVIVE GENOCIDE OF CHRISTIANS

Shoebat.com
March 27 2014

SHOEBAT EXCLUSIVE
By Walid Shoebat

While the FSA (Free Syrian Army) is loosing momentum in Syria, the
Muslim terrorists are working with the Turkish government.

Shoebat.com yesterday reported attacks on Kessab, a predominately
Christian Armenian city of 50 thousand inhabitants in which over 80
Armenian Christians were massacred and today we obtained footage of
further attacks on Christians in Samra.

It seems that Erdogan aiding the Chechen and Afghan Muslim terrorists
on the attack on Kessab shows that he has alreadyput on the hat of his
fathers who massacred the Armenians in the past. Turkey is entering
the fray for political and religious reasons. Al-Samra was the
town that was historically Iskenderun. In 1939 after the control of
Turkish troops on the Iskenderun it was declared part of the Turkish
Republic under the name “Hatay”. When the French Commission amended
the border, they included the town to be under Syrian control as the
Latakia province.

(video showing an attack by Mig Jet fighter jet on Latakia) The
Turkish involvement now changes the equation. Terrorists are seen
patrolling using Turkish Gendarmerie vehicles and are aiding in
persecuting Armenins. Shoebat.com was able to obtain video recording
of statements from Armenian Christians through Arabic media sources.

Here is a priest revealing how the Turks were behind the massacre of
Christtians in Kessab:

Here is a video of an Armenian Christian explaining how he was
kidnapped and almost killed by Chechen Muslims:

Interview of an Armenian women affirming that the Turkish government
wants to revive the Armenian Genocide:

We also obtained statements from Armenians lamenting their situation.

“Since the beginning of the conflict, all civilians in the troubled
areas were evacuated towards Latakia, under the supervision of the
army. Christian Armenian families who were previously displaced
from Sulaymaniyah in Aleppo were moved to the village of Samra and
finally found themselves in the middle of Latakia in the American
neighborhood” says George who came from Aleppo adding “It’s hard to
forget the Armenian massacres and displacement in the past, which we
could not move away from the borders of our country of origin. We
left Aleppo to only experience the Turkish aggression which today
forces us to move again. We do not know why after all this”.

George’s mother does not stop crying, when she hears the news about
what is happening. Matilda, an elderly lady who was displaced from
Idlib, remembers how Kessab was turned in the previous two years to
become a large center for Syrian Christian Armenians fleeing from
violence and terrorism in the inner cities and that now its following
them to the extremities of the nation.

Syria has directed its blame on Turkey, which ensures the coverage
of the logistics for the attacks, which was launched in part from
Turkish territory, which succeeded in controlling some of the hills
and orchards, especially on the larger part of the town of Kessab.

Shoebat.com last week obtained sources from within the Turkish ground
that new training centers have been established in Ghazi Adab, Antioch
and Ophra in Turkey prior to these attacks on the coastal area on the
Mediterranean. Now we see the results. This will switch the battle
from the inner parts into the borders and coastal area.

The plan as we see it is simple, the terrorists want control of the
border crossings between Turkey and Syria, which halts the crossing
with Turkey that was under the control of the Syrian army, with
the exception of crossing Qamishli in al-Hasakah province, which is
practically closed.

The attacks on the province of Latakia, especially Qardahah is
essential since it is the birthplace of President Bashar al-Assad.

Note that this is a conservative stronghold and is the most prominent
of the Syrian system, both in terms of political support, which
secured Bashar and his family ties that bind him with the religious
residents there.

The terrorists under Turkish aid, attempt to gain access to the
coast in the hope of controlling the maritime line which is long
enough to receive small cargo ships, which would open the door to
the possibility of the transfer of weapons and gear to the Syrian
opposition by maritime line, and without any supervision or control
of by any party, except the sender and the receiver.

This of course is causing the Syrian military to concentrate on these
areas with air force and bombardments since this is a red-line as
far as Syria is concerned, but with Turkish aid, it looks like the
rebel forces which comprise of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Al-Nusra Front),
Ansar Al-Sham (Supporters of the Levant), and Kataib Sham al-Islam
(Islamic Brigade of the Levant) and Syrian Front Rebels Syria.

The axis of the Al-Samra mountain hill and Observatory 45 is crucial
for the terrorists on the northern borders with Syria’s northern
border with Turkey.

Putin has affirmed that he is taking the cause of the Christians in
Syria, and one way he is doing this is supporting Bashar al-Assad’s
fight against the jihadists. While Turkey is supporting the Islamists
in their massacring of Christians, Russia is assisting Assad in the
endeavor to protect the Christians. What you are seeing in Syria is an
indirect conflict between Turkey and Russia. The Orthodox Christians
and the Ottoman Muslims.

Here is a very emotional video showing the sufferings of the Armenians
who escaped Kessab:

Armenia Won’t Support Draft UN Resolution On Ukraine

ARMENIA WON’T SUPPORT DRAFT UN RESOLUTION ON UKRAINE

Vestnik Kavkaza, Russia
March 26 2014

26 March 2014 – 8:55pm

Armenia is not going to support the draft UN resolution on Ukraine
suggested by the Ukrainian government. Instead the country is going
to abstain from voting.

The document suggested by Ukraine condemns the referendum held
in Crimea, according to the results of which the peninsula should
join the Russian Federation, and calls for respect for Ukraine’s
territorial integrity.

Crimea – Russia – South Caucasus

CRIMEA – RUSSIA – SOUTH CAUCASUS

Vestnik Kavkaza, Russia
March 26 2014

26 March 2014 – 9:21am

Alexei Vlasov, exclusively for Vestnik Kavkaza

The events in Ukraine are reflected in the internal political climate
in republics of the South Caucasus. It concerns not only perception
of the Kremlin’s new international line by the ruling elites, but
also a deeper level of the public attitude to the events happening
in Crimea and the whole post-Soviet space.

The rather moderate and careful position of Baku toward the Ukrainian
crisis is explained by the fact that the foreign political course of
Azerbaijan, which was started under Heydar Aliyev, can be effective
only if the main international actors do not try to throw the former
Soviet republics into a dilemma – for the red team or for the white
team.

A successful realization of the multisided course as the main condition
demands “geopolitical silence,” i.e. an opportunity to balance between
Moscow, Washington, Brussels, and Ankara.

>From this point of view, Armenia has no less difficult situation
than Azerbaijan, but for different reasons. Yerevan understands that
Russia and its role for the country will grow, as Armenia will move
to the Customs Union and confrontation between Russia and the West
will escalate.

The Georgian situation is beyond all-Caucasus trends, despite
Saakashvili’s resignation. However, even though official Tbilisi
promises absolute loyalty to the West, it cannot be completely
protected from attempts by foreign forces to improve influence on
the foreign political course of the country through organization of a
Rose Revolution-2. So, a possibility of Saakashvili’s return supported
by foreign sponsors influences public statements and declarations of
young Georgian leaders.

As for pro-Western non-governmental organizations and the mass media
which became numerous in Armenia and Azerbaijan for 2-3 years, there
is no surprise in them. As the information war becomes stricter,
masks are torn off and the authors who used to write about democracy,
struggle against corruption, and a national idea appear to have a
single goal only – imposing an image of Russia as the only threat to
the South Caucasus and the whole post-Soviet space on people.

All possible means are implemented to reach the goal – from fake
publications to interviews with nonexistent experts.

Speaking about Azerbaijan, publications in several local websites
hardly influence an attitude to Russia of the Azerbaijani society.

Official propaganda strives to a neutral thoughtful position without
hysteria or attempts to present Russia as “an enemy and occupant”
for all free nations.

I believe the position of official Baku in the current situation is
the best that we could expect from the conflict between Russia and the
West in the difficult time of rapid changes in the international arena.

Obviously, the Russian expert society should estimate prospects of
the Russian-Azerbaijani relations in the post-crisis period in the
same wise and thoughtful manner, rather than presenting a view of
5-6 involved Azerbaijani experts as the ultimate truth, moreover,
many of them don’t live in Azerbaijan.

I agree with a view of Maxim Shevchenko that Azerbaijan is one of
Russia’s partners in the Caspian region. I would like to add that the
basis of the cooperation is not only an energy dialogue or a strong
army of Azerbaijan. Finally, the problem of an attitude to Russia is
a problem of Russia’s image in societies of the post-Soviet countries.

And I think our task is to explain principles of the Russian foreign
policy toward Ukraine and Crimea to residents of the South Caucasus,
addressing civil societies of the countries, common citizens of
Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. Our geopolitical rivals are working
in this field.
