ARMENIA CITIZENS AMONG VICTIMS OF ILLEGAL HUMAN ORGAN TRAFFICKING

Two Ukrainian citizens were detained, in capital city Kyiv, on
suspicion of involvement in the activities of an international
criminal group.

The criminals had stolen human organs to sell them for the purpose of
conducting illegal organ transplantation surgeries, Korrespondent.net
informed citing the Security Service of Ukraine.

“From 2010 to 2014, their victims include the citizens of Ukraine,
Azerbaijan, Armenia, Lithuania, and the Russian Federation,” the
respective statement reads.

KOBANE : LES AMERICAINS DETRUISENT UNE PALETTE DE MATERIEL EGAREE LORS D’UN LARGAGE (CENTCOM)

Les Americains ont ete obliges de detruire une des palettes de materiel
qui s’etait egaree lors du largage aux Kurdes de Syrie assieges dans
la ville de Kobane, pour eviter qu’elle ne tombe entre les mains du
groupe Etat islamique (EI).

Pour la première fois, l’armee americaine a largue des armes, des
munitions et du materiel medical fournis par les autorites kurdes
d’Irak pour permettre aux assieges de resister a l’offensive des
jihadistes du groupe EI contre Kobane.

A part cette palette, tout le materiel a bien ete receptionne par
les Kurdes assieges, a precise le le Commandement militaire americain
charge de la region (Centcom) dans un communique.

Les Americains ont poursuivi leur offensive aerienne avec six nouvelles
frappes dimanche et lundi, a precise le Centcom. Depuis fin septembre,
plus de 135 raids aeriens ont ete menes autour de Kobane.

Les raids conduits dimanche et lundi ont detruit des positions de
combats et de mortiers des combattants de l’EI ainsi qu’un de leurs
vehicules.

Le sort de Kobane, troisième ville kurde de Syrie frontalière de la
Turquie devenue dans le monde entier le symbole de la lutte contre
l’EI, reste totalement incertain après un mois de combats acharnes.

En Irak, les Americains, assistes des Francais et des Britanniques
ont egalement procede a six frappes aeriennes en coordination avec
les troupes irakiennes au sol : deux au sud-est de Fallouja, trois
au sud de la raffinerie de Baïji et une autre au sud de Baïji.

ARMENIAN REPUBLICAN PARTY MEMBERS MORE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT RUSSIAN ECONOMIC RECOVERY THAN RUSSIAN EXPERTS: 168 ZHAM

Armenian experts and government officials are more optimistic about
Russia’s economic recovery than Russians are, writes 168 Zham paper
turning to the backdrop of western sanctions on Russia’s economic
crisis.

The paper cites Russian Academy of Sciences academician, economic
expert Abel Aghabekyan, who stated that Russia’s socio-economic
situation is in quite a serious situation, which is characterized
by stagnation, recession, and stagflation. The academician noted,
that those three factors combined, will last for at least 3 years,
including 2013, when the process of stagnation began.

In regards to Armenian officials, for example, Republican Party faction
MP Gagik Melikyan recently stated that the current situation in Russia
is a temporary one.

“We expect that sanctions against Russia will diminish in the future,
and will positively influence Russia’s economic growth. I’m convinced
that during the coming year there will be positive steps toward that
direction,” says Melikyan.

Another Republican Party MP, Parliamentary Standing Committee on
Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Chairman Gagik Minasyan
spoke on Public Television (H1), assuring that the sanctions could
be helpful for Russia. According to Minasyan, the sanctions could
stimulate Russia to focus on its domestic resources, and in a short
time-frame ensure technological progress and economic growth, which
would result in an increase of remittances from Russia to Armenia.

Attempts have been made by Russia to facilitate the lifting of
sanctions by the United States and the European Union, but with no
avail. The sanctions were imposed by the Western states in order to
punish Russia for its involvement in Ukraine. The sanctions target
certain government individuals and the Russian banking, defense, and
energy sectors. Russia is recently lifting previous bans on certain
products, ex: Chinese Pork etc, in order to supplement recently
sanctioned products.

Armenia recently entered into the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union
on October 10 after a year negotiations. The majority of Russian
imports to Armenia are in the form of remittances and energy (gas).

When Russia’s economy fell during the 2008 international crisis,
remittances from Russia to Armenia fell approximately by 250%,
significantly more than any other developed country sending remittances
to Armenia.

‘PARLIAMENT OF WESTERN ARMENIA’ HOLDS SECOND SESSION IN YEREVAN

The “Parliament of Western Republic of Armenia” recently summed up
its second session inYerevan.

The first session, held in Paris this January, established the
authorities of the members who had received votes by over 18,000
western Armenians, the Parliament’s president, Armen Ter-Sargsyan,
told a news conference on Monday.

“Several legislators laid down their mandates over this period,
joining the refugee government, and then elections were held again.

Yesterday we approved the lawmakers’ competences; besides we had
an agenda comprising four key issues. The parliament summed up its
activities of nine months, its program implemented since January and
the activities of the permanent committees,” he said, adding that
they also adopted a package of kry documents.

Tigran Pashabezyan, the refugee government’s prime minister also
attending the news conference, said the document would serve as a
basis for their future work.

“Among our key activities is the adoption of the Constitution for
which we approved a commission yesterday. After a final elaboration,
the Constitution will be accessible to all both electronically and in
a printed form, and will be put to a referendum to enable the citizens
of Western Armenia to vote ‘for’ or ‘against’. At yesterday’s session,
we also approved our strategic approaches and raised the questions
regarding the Genocide recognition and reparation,” he added.

Asked who can become Western Armenian citizens, the prime minister
replied that any one is eligible regardless of nationality.

TURKEY’S EMPIRE TO POSSIBLY COLLAPSE IN NEAR FUTURE

According to the opinions circulating in the world press the Turkish
empire will soon collapse taking into consideration the geopolitical
developments and the events in the Middle East.

“If to view for 20-29 year prospective, we may say that the Turkish
state does not have good prospect,” political analyst Ara Papyan said.

It may be caused not only by foreign political and geopolitical
processes but the qualitative changes taking place inside Turkey. In
particular the blossom of identities of national and ethnic minorities
takes place which is natural as the empires who keep some groups of
people inside under pressure does not have future and the number of
such groups in Turkey are a lot.

According to Papyan, in shorter period of time in 2-5 years this
country will still be a winner. The forces confronting the empire
pyramid are not strong enough and they grow qualitatively slow
thus the Turkish state manages to skillfully use the geopolitical
contradictions in its favor. For instance, it takes Islamic state
forces against Kurds, kills the others by the hands of Kurds, etc.,
like what they did with us – killing Armenians by the hands of Kurds.

But there is a way of historic development, a general process which
you cannot divert – all the people seek independence and want to
direct their own future themselves. And if 100 years ago the idea
of general Islamism was dominating in Turkey, that is to say all
the Muslims perceived themselves as one commonality, today not the
religious by ethnic factor is a priority.

As to whether our country is ready to act in corresponding situations,
or whether we have plan for separate developments, the political
analyst said he is not so optimistic.

“Our plan is just to survive. Our authorities have just put the issue
of survival. And this situation does not promise anything good,”
he said.

LE NEGATIONNISME A L’ECOLE PAR TANER AKCAM

J’ai eu l’occasion d’analyser les nouveaux manuels d’histoire
destines a l’ecole primaire, au collège et au lycee. J’ai limite
mon examen a tout ce qui concernait la question armenienne, mais
j’invite vraiment d’autres journalistes ou chercheurs a effectuer la
meme demarche concernant tout ce qui touche aux autres chretiens, aux
juifs et aux alevis. Cela serait très utile. Dans un contexte où l’AKP
entend jeter les bases d’une “nouvelle Turquie”, slogan de campagne du
president Erdogan, il etait interessant de voir ce que pensaient des
Armeniens les concepteurs de cette “nouvelle Turquie”. On apprend ainsi
beaucoup de choses, dans ces manuels d’histoire, sur la facon dont
ces “visionnaires” entendent faconner les nouvelles generations. Le
message delivre est très clair : il s’agit d’eduquer les jeunes
dans le cadre d’une vision complotiste de la societe et du monde,
a l’image des theories developpees par le reseau Ergenekon [reseau
mafieux turc]. Il est ainsi explique aux jeunes elèves de dernière
annee de primaire que la Turquie fait face a trois grandes menaces. La
question armenienne est presentee comme la première de ces menaces,
vient ensuite le terrorisme et enfin les missionnaires chretiens,
qui representent un grand danger pour la securite nationale ! Vous
avez bien lu. Les concepteurs de cette nouvelle Turquie partagent
avec les partisans du reseau Ergenekon une idee des menaces pesant
sur la nation qui a conduit au meurtre de Hrant Dink [l’intellectuel
armenien d’Istanbul tue en 2007] et a celui de trois missionnaires
chretiens a Malatya la meme annee [ils avaient ete egorges ; leurs
assassins presumes ont ete liberes cette annee]. Voila donc ce que ces
“innovateurs” veulent transmettre a nos enfants. Les Armeniens sont
depeints dans ces manuels comme des separatistes manipules par les
puissances etrangères, qui s’en prennent aux Turcs et aux musulmans
et qui sont prets a tout pour imposer leur mensonge concernant le
genocide. Rien de nouveau dans ce discours, qui n’est qu’une repetition
des thèses des negationnistes turcs les plus connus.

“Evenements armeniens”.. Une place importante est reservee au
genocide, designe comme les “evenements armeniens de 1915” dans
le manuel d’histoire destine aux collegiens. On y repète tous les
poncifs sur “les Armeniens qui ont collabore avec les Russes”, sur
les organisations armeniennes “qui ont fomente des soulèvements en
Anatolie” et qui n’ont pas hesite a “tuer ceux de leurs compatriotes
qui ne voulaient pas les suivre”. Les Armeniens, “qui avaient pour
ordre de tuer leurs voisins turcs, ont profite de l’absence des hommes
partis sur le front pour attaquer les villages turcs sans defense et y
massacrer la population, sans epargner les enfants”. Selon ces manuels,
ils n’en sont pas restes la et ont “frappe l’armee ottomane dans le
dos en sabotant leurs voies d’approvisionnement, en detruisant routes
et ponts”. “En espionnant pour le compte de la Russie et en provoquant
des soulèvements dans les villes, ils ont aussi facilite l’occupation
[de l’est de l’Anatolie] par la Russie.” Lorsqu’on lit ces phrases,
il faut avoir a l’esprit que, meme s’ils ne sont plus très nombreux,
il y a encore des Armeniens en Turquie et que leurs enfants aussi
vont devoir lire ce genre d’allegations a l’ecole [y compris dans
les ecoles communautaires armeniennes] ! On peut encore lire dans
ce manuel une thèse a propos de laquelle on ne sait pas s’il faut
rire ou pleurer, a savoir que “la deportation des Armeniens a ete
organisee pour assurer leur securite”. Mais qui les menacait alors ?

Les Armeniens bien sûr, qui “tuaient donc tous ceux des leurs qui
refusaient de participer aux soulèvements”. Concernant les chiffres,
ces manuels evoquent 300 000 Armeniens decedes “a cause de la guerre
et des maladies”, tandis que les Armeniens “massacraient 600 000 Turcs
et en forcaient 500 000 autres a quitter leurs foyers”… Et encore
ne s’agit-il ici que de 1915 [date du genocide armenien]. Ce que
l’on peut en conclure, c’est que, pour incarner le paradis, il semble
necessaire de definir d’abord l’enfer. Ceux qui pretendent avoir une
vision d’avenir [le parti AKP] ressentent ainsi le besoin de definir
le type d’ennemi qui pourrait empecher la mise en oeuvre de cette
vision. Force est donc de constater, a la lecture de ces manuels,
que les Armeniens sont un des ennemis de la “nouvelle Turquie”.

issue of regime change. They were the first to say that we need
systemic change. Raffi Hovannisian has a unique position pertaining to
EaEU, but you know that it is not essential now. The society itself
has become a dictator to political forces. It is specifically
inspiring for me that PAP, in the face of Gagik Tsarukyan, he is the
main locomotive in these processes, and they, in their honor, have
