Baku. Anakhanim Hidayatova – APA. Armenian delegation, which
participated in Euronest Parliamentary Assembly’s 2nd plenary session
in Baku, went for a walk in the capital.
APA reports that Armenian MPs became closely familiar with Baku and
visited Ichersheher, Nizami street, as well as looked at Armenian
church from the outside. No incident was recorded during the walk.

ARS ‘LORI’ CHAPTER CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

The ARS “Lori” chapter members during the celebration
TORRANCE, Calif.-The first anniversary of the establishment of the
ARS N. San Fernando Valley “Lori” Chapter was held on March 17, 2012
at the De Luxe Banquet Hall in Burbank, California. The 200 guests
included members of the ARS Regional Executive Board, representatives
of local sister organizations, and community supporters.
Welcoming remarks were presented by chapter executive member Sossi
Khatchadourian, congratulated “Lori” Chapter members and thanked
guests for their continued support. She expressed, “We knowingly have
taken upon ourselves the responsibilities and duties of the ARS. With
this responsibility, we vow to strive with our youthful and creative
strength to continue and advance the humanitarian goals and mission
of the ARS.”
Rev. Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian commenced the evening speeches with a
prayer and expressed his blessings to the chapter. ARS “Lori” Chapter
Chairperson Maria Terterian conveyed special thanks to the ARS Regional
Executive Board and sister chapters for their support and guidance
throughout the year, as well as to the ACF Arshavir Shiragian Gomideh
for sharing their new center and always facilitating the chapter’s
needs. She recalled the journey of the chapter’s first year, noting
that just one year ago 17 members took their ARS oath and, currently,
the “Lori” Chapter stands firm with 43 members and continues to grow.
ARS Regional Executive Chairperson Dr. Nyree Derderian praised
the chapter’s dedication, hard work, and commitment, expressing
contentment and amazement with the chapter’s progress within its first
year. Thereafter, ARS Regional Executive Board members presented the
chapter with a plaque of special recognition. The evening speeches
concluded with ACF Arshavir Shiragian Gomideh Chairperson Vatche
Donoyan extending well wishes in the years to come.
The evening entailed surprising gifts for the chapter, including a
cordless microphone from the ARS “Anahid” Chapter and a hand-painted
portrait of the ARS logo by ARS member Anahid Der Ashodian.
Musical entertainment was provided by well-known singer Koko Hayitian
and guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere full of celebration

CONSTRUCTION AND INTERIOR 2012 EXHIBITION OPENS IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the opening
ceremony of the fifth Construction and Interior 2012 exhibition held
in Yerevan.
“This is a good platform to get familiar with new solutions and
ideas in the field of construction. It will enable the participants
to enter into dialogue and establish new ties,” Premier said.
The exhibition’s objective is to promote development of small and
medium-sized business and create favorable conditions to establish
business ties. The event brought together 150 companies.

Goris has opened on April 5.
“Heritage” party leader Raffy hovhannisyan told the reporters on
April 6 that the party managed to overcome the difficulties and reopen
the office.
I do not want to voice the clear reasons, whereas we are gratified
we have succeeded. Currently Syunik headquarter is operating and it
is the most important.
Dwelling on the widespread rumors on pre election cooperation with ARF
party, Raffy Hovhannisyan assured that it is misinformation and they
do not correspond to the reality. Whereas their party is not keeping
in a secret the cooperation with ARF in the frame of forthcoming
parliamentary elections.
“Heriatage” and ARF parties have similarities concerning the issues of
state and national significance and this is not the first year we are
joining forces. What concerns the other aspects we have no agreements
” Party leader Raffy Hovhannisyan highlighted.

ArmInfo-TURAN: The main objective should be to prevent war between
Azerbaijan and Armenia that could bedevastating for all sides in the
Caspian basin, for the societies of the two countries, and for larger
hopes and prospects for region-wide security and economic development,
John Sitilides, a government relations specialist and advisor to
the State Department, said in an interview with Turan’s Washington
correspondent commenting on possible influence of the growing tension
in the region on Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Unfortunately, Armenia has developed very close diplomatic ties
with Russia, and there is a pronounced Russian military presence in
Armenia. Azerbaijan maintains strong ties to Turkey, and enjoys a long-
standing relationship with the U.S. and now Israel. Azerbaijan has
also become a strong trading partner with Germany and with Greece,
through which Azeri natural gas will delivered to Italy and onto
European markets. Two competing blocs seem to have been established
in the Caucasus with Armenia seemingly in the Russian-Iranian camp
and Azerbaijan, with all of its undemocratic practices – and that
remains a major problem for U.S.-Azeri relations – aligning it with
essentially Western powers.
“As Iran continues to attack the Baku government’s authority
in Azerbaijan through its terrorist activities, espionage, and a
broader range of activities of great concern, geography has condemned
Azerbaijan to no choice but to exist as a neighbor to Iran. Baku needs
to tread carefully and in a non-provocative manner until such time
as behavior change – or ultimately, regime change – occurs in Teheran.
Other neighbors such as Turkey, which interesting among NATO
members enjoys the warmest relations with Iran, can be supportive of
Azerbaijan’s regional balancing efforts against the backdrop of its
precarious geopolitical situation,” he said.

nations have also actively engaged in consultation and coordination on
internationaland regional affairs, which has substantially protected
their common interests, he added. The Chinese president also said
China would like to take the anniversary as an opportunity tofurther
consolidate the foundation for bilateral cooperation, strengthen
political exchanges, andpromote pragmatic cooperation so as to further
step up bilateral ties. For his part, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
said that with the joint efforts of the twocountries over the past
two decades, bilateral cooperation has been constantly increased
inpolitics, trade, industry, technology, defense, culture, education
and sports. Developing a friendly partnership with China has always
been one of Armenia’s diplomaticpriorities, said Sargsyan, adding that
his country speaks highly of China’s principled stance insafeguarding

WHY DO MEN USE “SERVICES” OF PROSTITUTES? – ARMENIAN SEXOLOGIST EXPLAINS

YEREVAN. – The Armenian website, which attempted to register the
prostitutes in Armenia’s online domain, had a very short life; it
was closed down, but the occurrence was not stopped, sexologist Vrezh
Shahramanyan stated during a press conference on Friday.
In his words, the aforesaid prostitutes are registered on other
websites, and closing down of the Armenian website was not the logical
solution to the matter.
According to Shahramanyan, the website’s name ()
was offensive, and it has an irrelevant connotation.
“The phenomenon of prostitution exists; 300 of the nearly 400
registered prostitutes have some form of sexual disease; and this is
the global problem,” he noted.
As per Vrezh Shahramanyan, we need to ask why people resort to
prostitutes, and, according to the sexologist, in many cases men do
not find in their bedroom what they find outside.
Also, Shahramanyan informed there are no pornographic websites on
the Armenian online domain, but there are similar Armenian websites,
but they are on the Russian domain.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Andranik H. had confessed
to having created the website that offers sex services.
He admitted to posting, on the aforesaid website, data on Armenian
prostitutes, the price list for intimate services, and the prostitutes’
photographs and telephone numbers, the Police Press Service had
informed.
Also, Andranik H. surrendered the computer with which he had created
and edited the website. The computer is sent for expert examination.
The website is blocked, and an investigation is launched.

YERKIR”: BAGHDASARYAN WANTS TO GET RID OF BISHARYAN

According to “Yerkir” daily head of the Rule of Law Party’s Women’s
Council, principal of school No.186 Marine Kocharyan, the 31st
proportional candidate of Rule of Law Party, is not satisfied with
party’s candidate list. Relations between formerly close friends,
principal of No.191 school Tamara Avdalyan and party’s Deputy
Chairwoman Heghine Bisharyan have gone worse too as the Executive
Director of American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia Diana Gaziyan was
named the second woman candidate on the list of the Rule of Law Party.
According to the daily Arthur Baghdasaryan plans to “prepare” a new
Heghine Bisharyan out of Gaziyan.

Le Patriarcat armenien d’Istanbul a depose une plainte a Ankara pour
recuperer l’Ecole historique de Sansaryan dans la province d’Erzurum
qui etait le site du Congrès d’Erzerum en 1919 qui l’acte fondateur
de la Turquie moderne par Mustafa Kemal Ataturk
” Quelques autres fondations appartiennent aux communautes [des
minorites], mais la Fondation Sansaryan a ete donnee au patriarchate
par le philanthrope Migirdic Sansaryan dans les annees 1800.
L’administration et la gestion de la Fondation Sansaryan appartiennent
legalement au patriarchate ” a dit l’avocat Ali Elbeyoglu qui
represente le patriarcat armenien devant la cour au journal turc
Hurriyet.
Le patriarchate exige aussi le retour d’autres proprietes de la
province de Sivas appartenant autrefois a la Fondation Sansaryan dans
le procès qu’il a declenche le 14 mars.
” Nous n’allons pas nous contenter du simple retour des bâtiments
historiques. Nous allons aussi exiger une compensation de la Direction
Generale des Fondations pour toutes les pertes materielles encourues
par le patriarchate depuis 1936 ” a dit Ali Elbeyoglu.
A la demande du gouvernement, les minorites de Turquie en 1936 ont
fait des declarations au gouvernement detaillant leurs proprietes. Au
cours des annees, cependant, beaucoup de ces proprietes ne sont pas
restees enregistrees sous les noms des Fondations des minorites et
quelques-unes ont ete meme vendues a des tierces personnes.
La Direction Generale des Fondations de Turquie a exproprie la
Fondation Sansaryan citant la declaration de 1936, selon Ali Elbeyoglu.
Le Patriarcat a aussi depose une autre plainte contre la Direction
Generale des Fondations ces derniers mois exigeant que le Centre
commercial Sansaryan dans le district d’Eminonu a Istanbul soit
rendu au patriarcat. Cependant, le chef de la Direction Generale
des Fondations de Turquie a dit qu’il ne sera pas rendu malgre une
decision d’une cour d’Istanbul d’imposer une injonction interimaire
sur le bâtiment.
” Cela va a l’encontre de toutes [les normes] internationales legales
aussi bien que du Traite de Lausanne. Le Patriarcat est toujours en
possession de l’acte de propriete ” a dit Ali Elbeyoglu.
La communaute armenienne possède actuellement trois petites fondations
a travers toute l’Anatolie. Si le patriarchate gagne son procès, c’est
la première fois que la communaute armenienne de Turquie regagnera
le contrôle d’une Fondation en Anatolie.
” Si la communaute armenienne n’avait pas hesite pour des raisons
diverses, ils auraient pû deposer plainte en 1936, comme ils en ont
legalement le droit. Il y a un dossier datant de 1936 et ses fichiers
indiquent que le patriarchate possède officiellement Sansaryan. Notre
recherche montre que les documents les mieux preserves au point vue
des archives se trouvent au Bureau du cadastre ” a dit Ali Elbeyoglu.
Ali Elbeyoglu a ecarte toute liaison entre le procès et la Loi sur
les Fondations recemment entre en vigueur. Le gouvernement turc a
ordonne une mesure qui est entree en vigueur le 27 août 2011, rendant
les proprietes saisies aux fondations sur la base de la declaration
de 1936.
La Direction Generale des Fondations classifie toujours Sansaryan
comme une propriete abandonne mais pour que cette definition puisse
etre soutenu devant une cour cela exigerait qu’il n’y ait aucun
citoyen d’origine armenienne en Turquie, selon Ali Elbeyoglu.

Les Loups Gris Sevissent en France contre les Armeniens de France en
Cooperation avec les Services Secrets et le Gouvernement Turcs
Les nouvelles recemment publiees dans la presse francaise prouvent
une fois de plus que les manifestations contre le projet de
loi penalisant en France la negation du Genocide des Armeniens
n’etaient pas spontanees. La version en ligne de l’un des principaux
hebdomadaires, “Le Point”, a publie un rapport de la Direction Centrale
du Renseignement Interieur, selon lequel la manifestation de milliers
de personnes contre la penalisation de la negation du genocide armenien
a ete organisee a la demande d’une Federation Turque de France “qui
n’etait pas une federation”, mais en fait un groupe masque autour de
l’organisation nationaliste “Loups Gris”.
“Des personnes sont venues participer a la manifestation depuis
la Belgique, … et d’autres pays europeens, au nombre de 25 000,
dangereuses, bien armees et bien organisees”.
D’après la Direction Centrale du Renseignement Interieur, des
organisations telles le “Centre Culturel Anatolie”, “Radio MIT” ou l’
“Union pour la Pensee d’Ataturk” et le “Comite Talaat Pacha”, ont
egalement participe aux manifestations. Il est ecrit dans le rapport
en 19 pages que les organisations qui ont participe aux manifestations
de janvier, agissaient sous le contrôle du renseignement turc, qui
est une emanation du gouvernement turc.
Nous savons que concernant le Genocide des Armeniens, il existe un
accord entre les services secrets, les militaires, le gouvernement turc
et les “Loups Gris”. C’est le seul point sur lequel ces organisations
peuvent s’entendre, leur but commun etant de nous affaiblir. Elles
s’efforcent d’installer une atmosphère de peur : des gens sont suivis,
ils recoivent des messages.
“Le danger est que nous avons aujourd’hui un certain poids en France,
et qu’elles tentent d’y faire contrepoids. Elles sont très dangereuses
parce que derrière elles il y a l’etat turc, et que nous n’avons en
France que les ressources de la communaute armenienne, qui ne sont
pas comparables”, nous a dit le representant en Europe Occidentale
du Comite Central de la FRA, Murad Papazian.
Il est egalement ecrit dans le rapport que la communaute turque en
France obtient des fonds d’autres pays et que très souvent, l’etat
turc constitue une menace serieuse pour les francais, en particulier
pour les Armeniens de France.
Il faut noter que la Turquie a deja pris des mesures pour declarer
que ce rapport est un faux. L’ambassade turque en France a publie
un communique selon lequel, d’après les donnees dont elle dispose,
un tel rapport n’existe pas. La Direction Centrale du Renseignement
Interieur n’a fait officiellement aucun commentaire a ce sujet.
Le rapport special remis en 1990 au premier ministre etait deja
a cette epoque publie officiellement en Turquie, où les tentatives
d’assassinat contre les personnages politiques et les attaques contre
les institutions nationales et culturelles etablies en France etaient
abondamment rapportees. Ces attaques et ces tentatives d’assassinat
etaient l’~uvre d’elements formes dans de groupes nationalistes,
agissant non officiellement sous mandat des services secrets turcs.
Leur chef etait Abdullah Chatli qui a tenu un rôle de “pont” dans le
système “Mafia” des structures secrètes turques. Sa mort etrange a des
repercussions sur la politique interieure turque encore aujourd’hui.
Mourad Papazian se souvient bien de ces jours où les locaux
d’associations de jeunes, une station de radio et d’autres immeubles,
dont le monument au Genocide Armenien d’Alfortville, avaient ete
plastiques. En outre, son père alors membre du bureau de la FRA ne
dût de rester en vie qu’a la chance ce premier mai 1984. La charge
explosive fixee a son auto n’a pas explose parce que son installation
etait defectueuse.
Ce sont des faits qui ont fait l’objet d’editions disponibles en
Turquie. Le livre A Secret Story of the Turkish Security Structure
[Histoire Secrète du Service de Securite Turc] en est un exemple ;
son auteur, Tuncay Ozkan, est en prison depuis deja deux ans.
