L’usine d’eau minérale « Lidjk » près de Sevan pourrait rouvrir

Un Arménien de Russie prévoit de rénover et remettre en exploitation
l’usine d’eau minérale « Lidjk » près du lac Sevan, selon le maire du
village de Lidjk, Knel Krikorian. Les installations de l’usine, fermée
au début des années 1990 doivent être rénovés. « Le nouveau
propriétaire de l’usine devra réaliser des investissements importants
dans les appareillages et les outils de production » confie le maire
de Lidjk. Selon Rafik Krikorian, le préfet de la région,
l’investisseur est attendu sous peu pour élaborer le projet
d’investissement et de réouverture de l’usine « Lidjk ». En plus des
eaux minérales, la production sera diversifiée avec des boissons
gazeuses. A l’époque soviétique l’usine produisait plus de 2 millions
de bouteilles par an. Selon le maire de Lidjk, la réouverture de
l’usine pourrait créer plus de 200 emplois…de l’eau bénite pour tout
les villageois…

L’OM aurait pu avoir Mkhitaryan gratuit

Il a fait sensation en Ligue des champions la saison dernière face à
Chelsea ou la Juventus. Il était convoité cet été par Liverpool et
Manchester City avant de signer à Dortmund pour un peu moins de trente
millions d’euros. Lui, c’est Henrikh Mkhitaryan, neuf et demi qui
monte en Europe. Dans la catégorie des attaquants qui peuvent faire la
différence tout seul en Ligue des champions. Ce qu’il manque à l’OM
pour certains.

La Provence nous apprend aujourd’hui que le club marseillais aurait pu
compter l’arménien dans ses rangs et ce pour une somme dérisoire :
jeune, il était venu faire un essai à la Commanderie. Il n’avait pas
été retenu, trop frêle. `Albert Emon avait été vraiment séduit parce
qu’il avait cette frappe enroulée comme lui. Mais au-dessus, personne

que Nasri !` Je lui ai expliqué que lorsque je l’avais amené, on ne
l’avait pas calculé !`

De son côté, le joueur n’aurait pas de sentiment de revanche,
puisqu’il a avoué en conférence de presse d’avant-match ne plus trop
se souvenir de Marseille, comme nous le rapporte Maritima.info.

L’indice de l’activité économique de l’Arménie en baisse de 1,5 points

L’indice d’activité des entreprises en Arménie a baissé de 1,5 points
au deuxième trimestre de cette année, par rapport au trimestre
précédent, à 58,2% a annoncé le bureau de presse de la banque centrale
d’Arménie.

L’industrie de l’Arménie a montré un indice d’activité trimestriel le
plus élevé – à 61% contre 61,9% au premier trimestre de cette année.

Par ailleurs, l’indice de climat des affaires s’est établi à 53,7%
soit en baisse de 1,8 points par rapport au trimestre précédent.

La Banque centrale d’Arménie a commencé à mener ses enquêtes
trimestrielles sur les organisations et les ménages financiers et non
financiers en 2005 afin d’évaluer les attentes économiques des sondés
et calculer les indices.

INUTILE AUX IGNORANTS

Ce récit de voyage de Manuel Mirakhorian à travers les hayapnag
kavarner (« provinces habitées par les Arméniens ») décrit avec
justesse la vie du paysan arménien confronté au contexte politique des
années précédant les massacres hamidiens de 1895-1898 et le génocide
perpétré par les Turcs en 1915. l’ouvrage fait référence au livre du
médecin personnel des sultans, Amirdovlat Amassiatsi, « Inutile aux
ignorants. »

CRAINTES

La crainte qui hante le texte de Mirakhorian, c’est la perte de
l’identité du peuple arménien, décrit comme ancien et qu’il souhaite
voir retrouver sa riche culture grce à une alphabétisation et une
éducation fondées sur la modernité. Mais peu à peu dévoré par ceux qui
occupent son territoire historique et devenu minoritaire dans un monde
musulman, l’Arménien est de plus en plus relégué au statut de dhimi («
citoyen de seconde classe ») subissant en permanence une ségrégation
politique et sociale par le biais d’impôts divers et multiples.

UN VISIONNAIRE

À ses yeux, la nécessité pour les Arméniens de redécouvrir leur
histoire devait les conduire à recouvrer leur dignité culturelle pour
mieux s’imposer au sein même des structures de l’État turc.

Mal accepté par l’aile conservatrice de l’Église dont il déplore le
manque de stratégie politique, Mirakhorian agacera quelques laïcs qui
verront en lui un donneur de leçons par trop visionnaire et
indépendant. Il n’appartient à aucune chapelle, n’épargnant ni
l’Église ni les amira et encore moins les intellectuels qu’il accuse
de manier seulement de belles paroles.

Pour tous ceux férus d’histoire ou simples esprits curieux, le périple
de Mirakhorian constitue le témoignage de première main d’un
enseignant qui se donnerait pour mission d’informer son lecteur aussi
bien sur l’encadrement des écoles arméniennes que sur les conditions
de vie du peuple arménien dans les hayapnag kavarner à la fin du XIXe
avant sa disparition programmée qui mettait fin à deux mille cinq
cents ans de présence arménienne.

Exploitation of Amulsar gold mine will not hind tourism development in Jermuk

YEREVAN. – The exploitation of Amulsar gold mine is not hindering
tourism development in the resort town of Jermuk, Mayor Vardan
Hovhannisyan said during the third forum of village communities.

`According to the submitted plan, development of the gold deposit will
not hurt the city. The research is underway. We have appealed to the
President with the request to keep the issue in spotlight. If the
field hinders Jermuk, I think it will not work,’ the Mayor said.

Amulsar deposit is the second largest gold deposit in Armenia after
Sotk. The Lydian International reported resource update of 2.5 million
ounces gold at its Amulsar project.

Unmanned flying devices to be produced in Armenia

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Instigate Company will
implement the production of unmanned flying devices in Armenia, in
particular, educopter, photocopter and agrocopter. This was reported
to Armenpress by the Chief Engineer of Instigate CJSC Vahagn
Poghosyan, stating that preliminary agreement on the devices supply
has been already achieved.

`One of the Danish companies, functioning in the field of production
of the unmanned devices, which cooperates with an American company,
does not manage to provide for the necessary production volumes and
has agreed with the Armenian Instigate to launch the production of the
unmanned devices in Armenia to provide for the necessary volumes of
the devices’, – informed Vahagn Poghosyan.

To the question – how much does one educopter cost – the Chief
Engineer of Instigate CJSC noted that the price for the device is
$5,000.

Armenia’s councils of elders need to work more effectively – deputy minister

The institution of the council of elders needs to become more
effective in Armenia.

Vache Terteryan, First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration,
announced the above-said at Saturday’s final press conference of the
third conference of the rural communities of Armenia.

`This conference was different from the previous ones because not
solely the leaders of rural communities, but also members of the
councils of elders were in attendance; they took part in the
discussions of all matters,’ Terteryan stated.

He added that the conference was very productive.

`The President and the Prime Minister of Armenia, [and] the regional
governors participated in the discussions; they became the
participants in a rather full agenda,’ Vache Terteryan noted.

The matter of lending Armenian pastures to the Iranians is closed,
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Vache Teretryan said.

`If you have followed the statements of the Ministry, you could see
that the matter had been closed and further discussions are not on the
agenda,’ Deputy Ministers told reporters in Jermuk.

The talks on lending Armenian pastures to the Iranian side were held
in 2012-13 and received much criticism in public and social media.
Some civic activists labeled the move as `treason.’

Armenian rights acivists slam pressures against opposition MP

Several civil society activists have voiced their criticism against
what they believe the Armenian authorities’ restrictions against the
opposition MP Zaruhi Postanjyan over a recent speech at the Council of
Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly (PACE)

In a joint address, a group of human rights activists, heads of
non-governmental organizations, journalists and lawyers condemn the
authorities’ tough stance on Postanjyan’s statement, considering it a
restriction of her right to free speech and free self-expression.

Following Serzh Sargsyan’s speech at the PACE plenary session,
Postanjyan, a lawmaker of the opposition Heritage party and a member
of Armenia’s delegation to the Assembly, asked the president to
comment on the rumors that he has gambled away 70 million at a
European casino.

Her move received a strong reaction by the governing circles which
considered it a personal insult against the president . The speaker of
Armenia’s National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan, said last week that he
intends to remove Postanjyan from the delegation for what he described
as a slanderous remark.

The Armenian civic activists find that by raising the question at the
Assembly, Postanjyan exercised her right to free speech. Citing
relevant provisions from the European Convention on Human Rights and
Armenia’s Constitution, they say that the opposition MP did not
disclose a state secret that could pose a national security threat to
Armenia as a democratic state.

`We consider any step aimed at restricting Postanjyan’s right to
speech and self-expression, and the individual threats and other
possible measures against her – including a final decision to exclude
her from the delegation -, unacceptable; we find that a persecution
against the opposition politician,’ reads the statement.

Condemning possible pressures against the opposition MP, the group
calls upon the authorities to take appropriate measures towards
ensuring the security of Postanjyan and family.

The document has been signed by President of the Helsinki Assembly’s
Vanadzor Office Avetik Ishkhanyan, Director of Transparency
International Anti-Corruption Center’s Armenian Office Varuzhan
Hoktanyan, President of the Women Resources Center NGO Lara Aharonyan
and others.
