Hungarian Foreign Minister Once Again Justified Before Us Secretary

HUNGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER ONCE AGAIN JUSTIFIED BEFORE US SECRETARY HILLARY CLINTON

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS: Hungarian government is deeply
disappointed in Azerbaijani action which was granting pardon to the
perpetrator Ramil Safarov despite a prior guarantee about Safarov to
continue carrying punishment in his country. As reports Armenpress
referring to Hungarian independent news resource Politics, this was
declared by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Janos Martonyi during
the meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Through these
comments Martonyi tried to justify himself before Clinton.

Azeri perpetrator Ramil Safarov hacked Armenian officer Gurgen
Margaryan with an axe during the training courses organized by NATO
in Budapest on February 19, 2004. Safarov was sentenced to a life
imprisonment without the right of granting clemency in first 30 years.

Armenia suspended diplomatic relations with Hungary on August 31 when
life-sentenced perpetrator Ramil Safarov was extradited and pardoned
in Azerbaijan.

Armenian Businessmen Told About Argentina’s Investment Capacity

ARMENIAN BUSINESSMEN TOLD ABOUT ARGENTINA’S INVESTMENT CAPACITY

YEREVAN, October 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian-Argentine Trade and
Economic Forum, organized by Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber
and Argentina’s Embassy in Armenia, was launched Friday in Yerevan.

Argentine Ambassador to Armenia Diego Ernesto Alvarez Rivera,
speaking at the forum, presented Economic situation in Argentina and
the country’s investment capacity to Armenian businessmen.

He said that his country’s GDP grew 8.9% in 2011 mainly thanks to 9.1%
growth in services sector. Trade in commodities showed 7.4% growth.

The ambassador also said that unemployment rate in Argentina stood at
6.7% of the economically active population, and year-on-year consumer
price index in the country grew 10.9% in 2011.

The country’s exports grew 24% in 2011, compared with the previous
year, to more than $84 billion, and imports grew 31% to more than
$73 billion.

Rivera said that GDP growth is thought to slow down by 4.4% in 2012
and by 4% in 2013 because of the financial and economic crisis.

Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber President Martin Sargsyan,
who spoke at the forum as well, said that the aim of this forum is
to present Argentina’s economy and investment capacity to Armenian
entrepreneurs to enable them to single out those groups of Armenian
goods which can be competitive in the Argentine market.

“Trade and economic relations with Argentina started developing in
the first year of Armenia’s independence, and the most successful
entrepreneur was Eduardo Eurnekian,” he said. “Unfortunately,
relations between the two countries are developing disproportionately
– Argentina’s investments in Armenia’s economy total $200 million,
but things are different on the Armenian side.”

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, investments
from Argentina grew 26.4% in Jan-June 2012, compared with the same
period a year earlier, to more than 7.3 million less loans extended
by state-governing institutions and the banking sector.-0-

Russian Political Expert: Karabakh Conflict May Grow Into Military A

RUSSIAN POLITICAL EXPERT: KARABAKH CONFLICT MAY GROW INTO MILITARY ACTIONS ONLY IN CASE OF BIG IRANIAN WAR

arminfo
Friday, October 19, 16:38

Resumption of military actions in the Karabakh conflict zone is
possible only if U.S. unleashes large-scale Iranian war, Vladimir
Zakharov, Director of the Institute of Political Studies of the Black
Sea and Caspian Region, told ArmInfo.

Since 1992 the OSCE Minsk Group represented by co-chairs from Russia,
U.S. and France has been mediating in resolution of the conflict
unleashed by Azerbaijan in 1988. At present the peace process is
based on the Madrid Principles suggested by the OSCE MG in 2007 in
Madrid and renovated in 2009.

“Before that Baku’s pretensions will not go beyond exchange of fire
and subversive actions on the line of contact with the Karabakh
troops. In Karabakh they have already got used to such displays of
aggression. I am sure that the citizens of NKR will show a proper
rebuff in case of necessity,” he said.

Forecasting the scenario of U.S. adventure against the Islamic
Republic, Zakharov said that it may happen in the pre-election period
as Democrat Obama needs to maintain his falling rating. Another reason
that may make the United States attack Iran is the big external and
internal debt of the USA that has exceeded 100% of GDP, Zakharov said.

The U.S. economy supports dollar by some 5%-7% and the only way out
is war.

“If the U.S. unleashes war against Iran, billions of dollars of the
internal debt will be written off for the war. Billions of dollars
will be written off also for the factors accompanying the war”,
Zakharov said. He is sure that Azerbaijan will launch military actions
against NKR if the U.S. unleashes war against Iran. The so-called
peacekeepers consisting of Americans will be immediately deployed
in the region. “By the way, the U.S. militaries have been feeling
themselves fine in the territory of both Armenia and Azerbaijan for
a long time already. So, it will not take long moving them close to
the NKR border,” Zakharov said.

The total state debt of the USA reached 15 trillion dollars in 2012
exceeding 100% of that country’s GDP.

PanARMENIAN.Net
October 19, 2012 – 16:20 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net – Planning the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian
Foreign Ministers is not only France’s initiative, Russian Foreign
Ministry spokesman said, according to News.az.

Alexander Lukashevich commented on views that France has taken the
initiative in Karabakh conflict settlement talks.

“All three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (U.S., France and Russia)
are showing equal initiative in the Karabakh conflict settlement
process. The meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers
has been agreed with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. The initiative
to hold the meeting in France may have been put forward by them. The
continuation of the negotiations is the result of the joint activity
of the co-chairing countries,” he said.

Lukashevich said the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign
Ministers will be held at the end of this month.

“The meeting venue has not been determined yet. Depending on the
results of this meeting, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will visit the
region. Moscow supports dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia
towards the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. It is important
that the sides continue the process of negotiations”, he said.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman refused to comment on
the report suggesting the oncoming meeting between Armenian and Azeri
Foreign Ministers. “The Ministry will inform about Edward Nalbandian’s
upcoming meetings in due time,” Tigran Balayan said.

Military exercises are a measure forcing stability and peace, said
military expert David Jamalyan.

The Armed Forces of Armenia have been holding active military exercises
since 2-3 months. Now, the Artsakh round is underway which has a
function of giving a new direction and correction to the regional
situation.

According to Jamalyan, the tone of the military-political statements
of Azerbaijan has changed. The aggression lessened and became defensive
statement, which means they realize the strength of other side.

David Jamalyan says it is different when we say that we have a strong
army, and when we show it.

The new military techniques that the Armed Forces acquired, anti-tank,
artillery, air defense, and rocket arms are able to repress the enemy’s
aggression, says David Jamalyan adding that special devices are used
which don’t allow Azeri UAV can enter Artsakh air space.
