Kgb "Heritage"

KGB “HERITAGE”

08/07/2010

Hraparak daily found quite an interesting document at
lubyanskayapravda.com Russian web-site under the rubric “Armenian
Spy”. It stems from the revealed document that the deputy head of the
Armenian National Security Service is a Russian Intelligence agent and
the issue of granting Russian citizenship to him was once discussed
“considering his personal service to the Russian Federation”, as it
is written in the document.

This information is worrying but as well as “objective”. Armenia not
only failed to overcome the KGB “traces”, but just the contrary,
and from time to time the press used to publish information that
different Armenian figures are agents who “pay big services to Russia”.

During today’s governmental session the issue on buying 26 new
ciphering equipments for the National Security Service was discussed.

According to the draft of the governmental decision, the equipment
is provided for digital stations, in this case for ciphering the
governmental communication, in other words, to ensure telephone
conversations confidentiality.

Apparently, in reality there is an issue on the security of the
governmental connections. The point is that in the Armenian state
system, leakage of information of critical importance is big with
its consequences. This is the reason why information on Armenia
from non-Armenian sources appears very often. Hence, this is maybe
the reason of the closed home and foreign policy of Armenia, “night
diplomacy” when only 3-4 people know about some decisions, but as we
can see this does not save from informational leakage.

will participate this time too. He says it is not known whether anyone

Armen Martirosyan did not say whom he invited but noted there is
going to be an ARF member among those whom he invited. He says their
relations with the ARF Dashnaktsutyun are correct and warm.

In answer to the question what they are going to do if there no
room enough for everyone in the hall considering the fact that each
person will invite people, Armen Martirosyan says Heritage youths
are numerous and will cede their posts to elders. In response to the
question whether the party members have a limited number of guests
to invite, Armen Martirosyan answers “within the logic”. In other
words, guests will be people known in politics, public life and

Breast Cancer Is In First Place

BREAST CANCER IS IN FIRST PLACE

06:18 pm | Today | Social

Breast cancer is on the rise among women’s illnesses, said today Head
of Armenian-American Health Center Khachanush Hakobyan.

Hakobyan reminded that the best way of avoiding breast cancer
is prevention. “Women can prevent breast cancer by visiting their
doctors once a year. Like other cancers, breast cancer can be treated
to extend a woman’s lifetime, if the disease is in the first stage,”
says Khachanush Hakobyan.

The late stage is when the woman feels a lump on her breast.

In the course of 13 years, the center has conducted 196,000 studies
showing 6,000 people with late cancer and 2,000 with cancer in the
early developmental stage.

“This goes to show that breast cancer is rather widespread, but it
is unacceptable to say it is the top illness in Armenia because we
haven’t noticed such changes among people with cancer this year,”
says the Head of the Armenian-American Health Center.

The center has diagnosed 11 men with breast cancer and 4 of them
have died.

According to Khachanush Hakobyan, the center conducts studies through
state-of-the-art equipment and there is a lower risk of radiation
during mammography. Mammographic and ultra-sound studies cost 11,000
drams altogether and Khachanush Hakobyan doesn’t think that women
can’t save up 11,000 drams a year for their health.

According to Hakobyan, the first reason for the emergence of cancer
is inheritance, then come stress and an unhealthy lifestyle.

“We can’t talk about a healthy lifestyle, clean air or staying far
from telephones, the Internet and the television set, but they do
have small rays,” said Hakobyan.

According to the center’s statistics, breast cancer is most widespread
in Gegharkunik province.

Today during the press conference the director of the Caucasus
Institute Alexander Iskandaryan touched upon the information in the
Turkish media that in the Armenian boarder close areas of Turkey
preparation works have been launched for opening the border. The
speaker thinks that it can mean that in Turkey they consider the
opening of the border real.

“The Turkish accept those prospective as a real one and not fantastic
reality,” he mentioned and added that the border will sooner or later
be open, but it’s not yet clear in what mechanisms and in what status.
